Everything was great as usual. Service was outstanding. The only reason for the low rating is due to a 3% kitchen fee added to our bill. When asked about it, we were told that the non English speaking kitchen staff did not have the same opportunity to make tips like the wait staff so the fee is to compensate them. This should not be on the customers and the kitchen staff should be paid a fair wage. The food is already a premium price. read more

THE ABSOLUTE BEST PIZZA EVER!!!!! It was amazing!!!! Sat at the bar. It was early so it wasn't too busy. It was loud but manageable. The bartender was a young girl who was pleasant, sweet, and attentive, but not annoying. We had beer and wine and relaxed. I ordered the pepperoni with additional goat cheese. AMAZING!!!! The crust was light and fluffy and steaming inside. My gf ordered the prosciutto pizza, and she killed it! We knew dinner reservations were a problem in Lenox so we got reservations early by walking up right after lunch and making them in person for that evening. We were greeted, seated and our drink orders taken. A bit of a problem getting the QR order code for menu up on our cellphones but we got it solved. Boema has a huge wood fired pizza oven and three people preparing/cooking the pizzas. We were seated so we could watch the process. We split a Summer Salad, mixed greens, watermelon, feta, and a balsamic dressing and split the Chicken Caesar pizza. Tasty. The owner came over and talked to us about his operation. Turns out his wife runs Frankie's next door. We ate there the night previous (see review). Food was great, service professional and the owner friendly. A must stop in Lenox. read more

We had the roasted cauliflower appetizer and the pear and gorgonzola salad to start--highly recommend both. Then we split the mushroom truffle pizza and the garlic goat cheese pizza--both were amazing and it was hard for us to tell which we liked better. This was our first time eating at a restaurant since the pandemic began. No doubt the BEST pizza around! You can tell everything is so fresh and amazing quality ingredients. I love they they source a lot of local ingredients as well. Boema is perfect for a date night with fun cocktails or a great spot for the whole family where you can get incredible pizza (several options to choose from that's it hard to pick just one!). We tried the Boema Bianca which was a fav and also the Bourbon BBQ Chicken! The dough is ridiculously good and the flavor combinations are really well balanced. We tried the drinks as well and highly recommend the Bohemian (made with a Ethereal Gin local to Berkshires) and also the Boema Spritz. Refreshing and light and not too sweet. Everything about this place is exceptional. The salads are superb and well-sized (not too big, not too small - Mediterranean was choice!), with the option to add delicious proteins (we got fresh burrata from a local creamery - and in fact most of the cheeses are from Highlawn Farm). Unique sides like the peri-peri cauliflower (yum), excellent soup (chickpea bisque, so well done), and pizzas done right. Beer selection was curated brilliantly, again with local fare. Next time gonna go for one of their tasty looking cocktails. The barn in the back, with open doors and heated with propane towers, makes for the perfect (safe and charming) pandemic dining setup. Pizza was very good with lots of options for vegetarian or meat eaters - either make your own or order one of their specialty pies. This is such a great spot in Lenox! Our waiter Will was extremely kind and helpful. His recommendations were also spot on. We got one vegan pizza and the other was the garlic and goat cheese one. Stopped here unexpectedly because no other restaurant in Lenox was open before 5 (nobody does late lunch/early dinner in Lenox before a show at Tanglewood!?) - but we were thrilled with it. I was really looking forward to trying the restaurant. Sadly, a bit of a let down. Overall rating 3 stars Ambience rating 5 stars for a very pretty restaurant Food taste 3 stars Service 4 stars Value 2 stars Started with two appetizers including the meatballs and the roasted cauliflower. The meatballs had a good flavor but were overly dry. The cauliflower was not at all as expected. Cauliflower was chopped into tiny pieces, placed into a soup crock for quick bake with cheese and spices. Would have been much better served in larger pieces on a tray and drizzled with olive oil instead of cheese. Like the meatballs, they were too dry. Had I known that the salad identified as Mediterranean was simply the size of a small side dish and basically lettuce with black olives and onions and oregano for $13, I would certainly have passed on it. Given the small portions of the appetizers and salad, I am glad we ordered two pizzas for the three of us because certainly one would not have been enough. The pepperoni pizza was unfortunately greasy and the artichoke white pizza was tasty but the addition of honey on it was hard to understand. Personal pan sized pizza for $16 each, you would expect more from the overall experience. I will say that the crust on the pizzas was good. I am glad we tried it but I will certainly not be in any rush to return. read more

Taylor, who works the bar, is absolutely first rate - as much as a waiter as a bartender. He is incredibly efficient, warm, affable - a truly lovely person. He pays attention to every last detail, and makes a wonderful, ice cold vodka martini. They are very lucky to have him.
