Words cannot describe the magnanimous amount of gratitude that I have for Woodlands Dog Kingdom…read more Not only did one of the trainers fly to California to work with my Service Dog in Training for 3 non-stop days, they still avail themselves to me should I have ANY questions or concerns in regards to my pup. At just 2 years old, and because of her calm demeanor, I can take my dog anywhere off leash, especially private events as a traveling chef, have people attempt to touch ot talk to her and she STILL gives me her full attention - which was my only issue with her. I am continously referring them while still learning new things through their many videos. And when I see a dog being trained wrongfully, I automatically want to refer Woodlands to that owner, letting them know that they would excel if they used them. Thank you so much, Woodlands for the work you did for us and the work you do for others. If every dog training facility took their job as seriously as you did, this world would really be happy with their 4-legged pals!!!! Love you long time! Chef Marúkah & Kitah

I have had dogs my entire adult life and consider myself slightly-better-than-average when it comes…read moreto training them. Hard as I try, each dog seems to have "a thing" (e.g., jumping on people, leash aggression, guarding, barking, etc.). Two years ago I got a puppy and decided I didn't have it in me to go through months (and sometimes years) of training effort and end up with another dog with "a thing". I found Woodlands Dog Kingdom through word of mouth. Ayesha has a ton of experience with all kinds of dogs. She worked wonders with my sweet, little puppy but I have seen her successfully train stubborn, adult dogs with pretty big behavioral problems and am so impressed with her ability to adjust her training to meet a dog's needs and an owner's expectations. I sent her an obnoxious puppy and a few weeks later she returned an enthusiastic, but behaved young adult dog. Honestly, it was magical. In a few weeks time she accomplished more than I could have accomplished in years. There are a couple of lessons I learned that I really want to emphasize. First, she trained my puppy but didn't break her spirit. She is still an extremely loving, trusting and enthusiastic dog. Secondly, for the first time ever, I have a dog I can take everywhere. I guess I didn't realize how much richer/fuller a dog's life is when they can go everywhere. I instituted limits for my other dogs because of their "things". This dog has no limits because she doesn't have "a thing". I take her traveling with me. I can board her with no anxiety (for me or her). I can take her to a dog-friendly restaurant. I can take her off-leash at the beach/hiking and know with 100% certainly that she'll come when called. And, best of all, we can go on long walks in the neighborhood or even on busy thoroughfares and she stays in a perfect heel. Ayesha trained my puppy and then helped me learn easy ways to maintain her newly learned skills. Since our board-and-train, I have asked Ayesha for advice on specific/new behaviors and she is always very helpful. Finally, once she has trained a dog she will board them. My love of dogs AND love of travel are not conducive but boarding with Ayesha has liberated me. My dog loves going back to her place. Her boarding fees are very reasonable and the dogs are not crated for hours and hours. They have lots of outside play time and lots of human/cuddle time. I know there are a lot of board-and-train options but Woodland Dog Kingdom is the best!!

Argos loved working with her and learned very quickly. We appreciated that she came to our home, so that Argos could train in his normal environment before heading to new places and meeting new puppies. I enjoyed her positive approach and how she was super knowledgeable. You can just tell she really loves her job and cares about helping people. I had previously been having issues getting my puppy into obedience classes and was actually asked to leave a group class once because my puppy was too aggressive with others. Deborah taught me the skills to get on my dog's level and find a way to help her be more behaved and overall strengthen our relationship. We worked on many things, everything from jumping, to sitting and waiting for food, and she even helped me take my dog on a walk to work on leash pulling. One of the best parts about Patient Pawz I feel is that Deborah not only lives up to the name by being patient with puppies, she is also extremely patient with owners and really does work to find a time that fits with your schedule as well.

I am a disabled combat veteran, but do not qualify for a 'service animal' from non-profits because I do not have the 'correct' diagnosis, even though I suffer from the same exact symptoms as those with PTSD. My wife's mother, who lives in Europe, recently had a stroke and my wife has been by her side since early August. If I hope to see my wife at all over the next several years, because of her and my commitment to ensure that her mother gets the care and attention she deserves, we needed to be much closer than the Pacific NW, hence our uprooting. In order to have Kemper fly with me in the cabin on a grueling 10-hour trans-Atlantic flight, he needed some several skills which he was lacking when we adopted him from the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society after six years of being abandoned and abused, for no reason, by one owner after another. Even with his unjust and unconscionable treatment early in life, he is one of the sweetest and dogs I have ever known. Julie and Kemper quickly developed a strong bond and she was willing to work with me one-on-one, tailoring a training plan for both of us to get us where we need to be with just two months before boarding the plane. Having a Master's in Psychology, I am an expert in operant and classical conditioning, but lacked the understanding of how dogs think, so Julie was training both of us along the way. Kemper picked-up on things quickly and me, not so much, but we were compelled to get the job done and succeed in our mission, no room for error. Paws Down is not exactly cheap when it comes to private training, but Julie did not charge for travel time to our home and routinely stayed after the allotted one-hour appointment times. Yesterday, less than two months after starting with Julie, Kemper passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test and his certificate is on the way, arriving well before we need it for travel to our new home. Thank you Paws Down and Julie for helping me ensure that my support animal and I make it safely to Europe, reuniting our family after moths apart. Coming from the competitive dog sport world, and holding a degree in Cynology (the study of canines or domestic dogs), it seems Bart has been a passionate and lifelong student of the dog. Just google and see for yourself. Rather than "quick fixes", he dives deep to understand first and foremost, your dog. For example, understanding HOW your dog operates is fundamental to building a healthy relationship to him/her so that your dog does things WITH you (and not FOR you). This is the critical foundation which Bart builds upon in shaping the behavior of all the dogs he works with. It just makes sense. Since we brought our German Shepherd pup to him last year, we have watched his remarkable transformation around obedience to now protection work. And it hasn't just been him! I have learned so much through Bart's online resources, lectures, and important discussions. This has been so much fun. In summary, we have discovered in Bart, a rare combination of practical expertise, scientific understanding, and authentic compassion and advocacy for dogs. We cannot recommend him more!

Once a week got him on phone & told he would email or call...none of either. Phone won't accept voicemail, no response to text. There are 4 of us who compete in events listed on his website with two of us who have tried to nail him down for training, with being left feeling he has no interest. One has been trying for months. Having to go with somebody else to train with after well over reasonable amount of waiting with no attempt from Bart to return contact. Blows my mind how a trainer can just ignore multiple long term clients who are looking for somebody to train with closer to home. Will look at him again if he surfaces. But we have dogs in need and competitions upcoming and can"r afford to sit and wait to see if he surfaces. One of the group has already been with Scott Haywood w Centrailia Pet Resort, I'm going to sign up tomorrow as he has followed through with getting back, setting prices, and setting concrete schedules.

We have a high-energy cattle dog mix, and at 8 months old, he stayed with Zoe for 3 weeks in April for advanced obedience. I was so nervous about leaving him (he's my first puppy!), but it was awesome to see his progress on their Instagram. When we picked him up, he got to show us everything he learned, and Zoe walked us through everything she taught him. He totally understands what we're saying now! He knows how to regulate himself and finds time to be calm. When he's playful, his recall is EXCELLENT and he comes right back, even if there's a lot going on. I took him camping a few weeks ago and got so many compliments on how well-behaved he is for being so young. Bowie also went and stayed at Rascal for a week in June, and having that safe space for him where he can fine-tune his skills while we are on vacation is a life-saver. I've been recommending Rascal Training to everyone I know, and I think you should send your pup, too!

We sent our big oaf of a GSD rescue (Shadow) to Rascal after a ton of research and it was the right choice. My partner and I live in Montavilla and wanted to be able to bring our dog everywhere we could. Unfortunately, she was an 85 pound asshole that couldn't walk on a leash and spent her life being anxious and obsessive. She also couldn't hang with our cats and would waste her days staring down the hall at them - nothing could tear her away. Looking through the Rascal website and instagram I knew that Zoe was the right person. As Shadow progressed through the program she was able to go on a ton of field trips. This aspect was very important to me, knowing that Shadow would have exposure to public places (home improvement stores, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, etc.) with someone who can make sure the experience is positive. Shadow has only been home a few days, but it's been amazing. She can go for walks now without giving us blisters on our palms by pulling. She is able to lay down in the front yard with me while there are crows and squirrels around. SHE HEARS ME WHEN I CALL HER. The hardest part of the whole thing has been my own training, but even that is easier every day. Seriously, Rascal Training is worth it a thousand times over.

Obviously not a legitimate breeder or they're having extreme financial issues. I never would have gone into contract with her if I knew this is how she does business. I could have already had a puppy now for my 10 month puppy who is grieving the loss of my other dog.... instead of this bait and switch. They need to disclose to buyers that they ONLY pre sell puppies - I couldn't recommend this breeder less! Stay away.
