Tried this place for the first time and it exceeded my expectations! The theme of the restaurant is so fun, and if you are lucky you can sit upstairs next to all the motorbikes. As far as the food goes, everything we had to eat was awesome! I would highly recommend the big pretzel and the bread pudding. The best part of this place is the service. We had an outstanding hostess and waiter!! Not only that, but everyone else e passed by or spoke to was super friendly and helpful. We decided to celebrate my German roots by going to Bohemian Brewery Saturday night for dinner. I love the cozy vibe there, it's got an old world hunting lodge ambiance that immediately sets the tone for the food that is to come. My husband had the Pierogies and Bratwurst and he was seriously impressed with them. He's a bit of a pierogi snob and we're pretty lucky because he makes them for us every once in awhile, so him giving them a thumbs up is a huge endorsement! I had the Bohemian Schnitzel and we shared a side of Spätzle. It was all delicious but that spätzle was a superstar! Our server TayTay was above and beyond, she was so sweet. I love Bohemian. It's my overall favorite place in Utah. The environment is cozy and pubby, the food is always good, and the service is always absolute top notch. Top picks are the bratwurst and pierogi, schnitzel, garlic fries, garlic burger, anything with their in-house sauerkraut, calamari, any desserts, etc. I could go on and on, but the Bohemian is a treasure. I really wanted to like this place, but my dinner wasn't the best. I ordered the Bohemian Goulash after reading so many reviews on Yelp with people raving about it. The dish is a beef cube stew with a few slices of onions and bread (that you can break apart and put in your stew to turn them into dumplings). My plate of Bohemian Goulash was overly salted. I thought it was just me, but then I asked a friend who ordered the same dish and he felt the same. It was difficult to finish my food because there was so much salt in the stew to the point that my cheeks started to get that uncomfortable, bloated feeling during dinner. Perhaps the sodium overload was unintentional and a slip-up that night. I find it hard to believe that so many other Yelpers loved the goulash and didn't say anything about the salt content. Also, some of the beef cubes were incredibly soft, while some had tough and dry pieces attached. *Side note: I have more of a savory than a sweet tooth. The bread that came with the goulash was very soft and mild. I enjoyed having it with butter rather than soaking it in the salty stew. Before our entrees were brought out, our server dropped off a basket of soft, brown bread with plain butter and cups of a butter and herb mix. The herby butter had good flavor wasn't too heavy! This is a review mostly based on my main course. The service was friendly and quick. Maybe I will pay another visit someday and order something else. read more

Went Saturday for Octoberfest... Food was awful. Stroganoff with room temperature noodles, foul tasting demiglaze gravy, rare tough beef cut in 2" cubes . In no way, was this dish stroganoff. Honestly I only came because I'm a queen fan and bohemian sparked a fire and had to try it. if anyone happens to come through here I highly recommend. They have authentic food. Great place for European comfort food, and Beer. There's at least twenty types of beers available, European style, and flights are available. The Pierogi tasted like home cooking by your Polish mom. The Blackberry chicken was excellent. My companion said that the Reuben sandwich was one of the best ever. It came with garlic fries that were really good. Portion sizes were huge, so split an entree or take the rest with you. The decor was interesting and the service was very good. Servers seemed happy and at home. I'm convinced this place cannot make a bad meal. We have visited many times and the food and service are top notch. Last night we arrived at 7:00 and the place was packed. We thought it would take a while to be seated but to our surprise we were seated in about 15 minutes. Our server was obviously busy but he took time to answer our questions and make suggestions. Our drinks came right away. My husband ordered Fish and Chips. As usual his food was perfect. The tender halibut not over cooked. The coleslaw was crisp and fresh, the fries are always amazing. I wanted something different and ordered the Beef Stroganoff. It was delicious. The sauce was rich and had a tangy bite. The mushrooms were so thinly sliced that they melted in my mouth. I believe the beef was beef tenderloin. It was the best I've ever had. The Apple Strudel is different than any I've had and I recommend it. All and all, perfect meal. read more

I enjoy the atmosphere, the only downside it was a little noisy to talk to friends. Therefore, 4 stars. The pub food is excellent. I loved Prague Salad, the last visit, and on a prior visit to the pub, I tried the Poached Pear Salad, and both were delicious. I get so eager to try my choice that I forget to snap a photo prior to devouring them. I'll try to remember next time. The service has been great each time. Oh my goodness what an delicious meal!!!! I was so excited to find somewhere in Utah to get pierogies and chicken paprikash, so we were really looking forward to our first visit here. I'm only giving four stars instead of five because it is sadly one of those hugely popular places favored by big groups that doesn't take reservations. That is a huge pet peeve of mine! We went at 5 pm on a Saturday in March, thinking we were there plenty early the avoid the rush, but there was a half hour wait for only two people. We needed to be somewhere at 7 so we almost left, until I overheard the hostess tell someone else there was open seating at the bar. We hustled over there and happily were able to snag a high top! I highly recommend this tactic if you want a creative way around the wait for tables. Our food and beer were absolutely amazing. They have the best sauerkraut I've ever had - I could have eaten twice as much of it, and they had very generous portions! I wish they had an entree option that was just a plate of pierogies - the bratwurst was good, but not what I was there for. Service was excellent and quick. We 100% plan to go back on a weeknight to see if we can avoid the madness. That might be just about the best meal I've had since moving to Utah. read more

Absolutely love their Giant Pretzel with Beer Cheese and their Onion Rings, but everything is always SUPER tasty. Bohemian Brewery is also one of our family's go-to restaurants and especially when family or friends come to town. It is a favorite of both of my son's and their friends, so when my oldest son (the soldier) came home from Fort Bragg for Christmas, and then his girlfriend flew into SLC to spend Christmas with him and us, we knew Bohemian was going to be on the must-see list! We had a bit of a wait there on a busy Saturday night right after Christmas, but we were eventually seated and had some appetizers ordered...along with some of their outstanding beer on tap (me: The Pilsner, naturally as I am half Czech.) We all enjoyed our meals, and I - of course - went with my default pečené vepřové maso, zelí a houskové knedlíky (roast pork, sauerkraut, and bread dumplings!) Just like Mom used to make! Excellent service and a very cozy ambiance there with the double-sided fireplace and decore that resembles an east European chalet (right from the slopes of the Špindlerův Mlýn resort, maybe?) Having been to the Bohemian three or four times, I felt it was about time to write my overdue review. First and foremost, the Bohemian is Czech, not German. I think 80% of Utahns who visit think Bohemia means Bavaria, and they are drinking at a German restaurant. That being said, Bohemian is a brewery and restaurant which specializes in Czech beer as well as a mixture of old world food and current day pub fare. Back in the day before the restaurant, this was a store, but it now resembles a rustic lodge up in the mountains. They have done a great job with the details. There is also a proper bar with football (both American and soccer) on the TV. Apparently started back in 2001 by a family who brought the Czech style of "lagering" with them, they have kept the old school tradition alive. This means for most of their beer, it includes nothing more than malted barley, yeast, hops and water. There are no additives, preservatives or cheap starch like rice or corn. Everything they use is non-GMO. Not only is their beer fresh, but everything on the menu is made from scratch daily. Since this type of food is not common where I live, I try to make sure when I do eat here, I stick to the old world stuff (I can get a salad or pizza just about anywhere). I have enjoyed the chicken paprikash (Sauteed breast of chicken topped with Hungarian paprika & sour cream sauce, served with spätzle & fresh vegetables, which is as delicious as its description- especially the spätzle. I also enjoy the Bohemian goulash (Beef cubes stewed in sweet & spicy paprika sauce with bread dumplings, & red onions), which for me isn't that filling, but it's still rich in flavor and worth trying. My recommendation would be to make sure and order an appetizer along with it, something like an order of pierogies or brats. Service is usually pretty good, but since I've only been a few times, it's hard to say it's consistency. I always come here with family, and it's a great place to do that- as you can order some small plates and share it family style. Jumping back to beer, one thing I enjoy is their loyalty to keeping to the tradition of their Czech style beer, not changed much since the 1200s. With all the rage that is IPA these days (which I don't care for much), it's refreshing to see a bar that isn't bombarded with them. They are known for their 1841 Viennese amber lager as well as their 1842 Pilsener, however, my favorite is the Cherny Bock Schwarzbier. Now this is German (Bavarian) style beer, and it's delicious. Dark roasted malts coupled with minimal amounts of hops makes this beer really nice drinking. If I spend more than 3-4 days in Utah, this is usually one of the restaurants we will visit. Came here after looking at a few other brewery/brew pubs in the area and decided to go with this one because of the great reviews and the food looked delish and more unique than the regular brew food. It did not disappoint. We ordered the blackberry chicken, pierogies and bratwurst, and schnitzel. It was all very good. And for dessert we had the strudel (it was good but not like what we remember in Europe) and we also tried the fruit dumplings which were amazing! Overall we were very happy with this stop. We stopped in here on a day trip to the area and were pleasantly surprised. My husband loves German food and he was excited to see the extensive menu. He went with the Pierogi & Brats and couldn't stop saying how good it was. I had the Beef Stroganoff with Spatzle and it was excellent.
