    Great jazz band
    Hector B.

OK. Let's be real. The jazz band stopped us in our tracks! It was smooth and enjoyable! We had to sit and have a drink or 2. It was magical. Thank you!

First time going to Twist. Went for the Yelp Elite brunch and dog show. Twist has good food and their drinks are well balanced with flavor. Nice outdoor patio to sit at and a cute little bar. Live music was good also. Definitely recommend this place.

I've never heard of this place or seen it until I got an invite for a birthday party. I would've even continued walking past this bar if I didn't know to meet here. It's hidden behind the green pig bar and across from maxwells on exchange place so maybe that's why you forget about this place. Parking is bad, so it's best to park in the garage for $5.00 down the street. The lock the doors if you park higher up so you may be taking the stairs or walking around through the entrance. It's a bar, so be prepared to surrender your ID when you come. I sat at the bar waiting for the friends to arrive and I order an old fashion....I ask him to make it pretty because I take pictures of my food and his response was "this isn't a craft bar sweetie." Ew! He tried and it turned out ok after some encouragement lol. Then he checked to see if I tipped him on the receipt looking really hard at it. I tipped $2.00 for a $7.00 drink which is more than normal because he attempted to make it pretty for it not being at a craft bar. See below. He also told me the food is delicious here. I'll be the judge of that!!! Homies finally come and we ordered some apps. Artichoke dip-too creamy and flavorless Quest dip- tasted like velveeta with some diced tomatoes on top. It was warm and quickly turn cold. So it was harder to dip unless you scrape it with your fork. Not good at all. Portobello mushroom sticks- this was gross. They didn't even season the batter or mushroom. Not sure if I'd come back here again. Food wasn't good and service was ok. Drinks are cheap/reasonably priced for downtown area.

Just popped in to get outta the cold and enjoyed a shot and a beer. Love the history behind the place. Kinda reminds me of a quarter of a Port O' Call

Met with nieces and their spouses (ten in our group) for a few hours on a Friday night. Wasn't as loud as I expected. They had several TVs on the main floor, big tables, cozy tables and two big bars. A private party was in the basement with pool tables, video games, etc. We parked across the street in a multi-level garage for $5. Our server Stori was great. She kept the food and drinks coming then split the bills without a hassle. I ordered onion rings (with Utah fry sauce) and a "mini" shepherds pie that was huge and tasty.

So my team met up here and honestly I arrived late so I wasn't able to enjoy the outside. We originally thought it was supposed to be jazz night but it was a totally different band. While the band was setting up, we ordered food outside on their patio and I ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. The fries were delicious! However, the sandwich was not. It was very bland and I didn't finish it all. Although we were expecting band, the band was awesome. They played 90s music and a variety of genres. It really took me back. We had a great time!

DJ is an awesome guy and made us feel right at home. Great drinks DJ 5 stars Fun times Burgers & sweet potato fries with their fry sauce is so tasty delicious burger & fries

This was a bangin little fusion place. This review got lost in my drafts for like 2 years, and I still remember exactly the night I ate there. The pork belly tacos are crazy good, and the cocktails have a super hand crafted feel. I can only hope this place has survived covid. The fate of the world may depend on it.

Pretzel was so yummy, sadly the best thing

I knew from the parking lot this place was a winner. Once inside, it had a welcoming atmosphere and people inside were all having a good time. This brewery features Lager Beers crafted using traditional Bavarian/European methods...thus I had to try one...two...maybe more. Luckily there was a ton of delicious looking food on the menu from the expected pizzas and wings to the old world treats like beef stroganoff, goulash and schnitzal. Everything is made from scratch and I couldn't help looking at all the neighboring tables to get an idea of what to try. Our waitress Ashley was really helpful and checked if the pesto was made with nuts as we have peanut and tree nut allergies in our family. Luckily there were no pine nuts or other substitutes and we could safely have it! We ended up getting quite a feast of plates and then topped it off with two desserts- the bread pudding and the German chocolate cake (couldn't come to a family agreement so had to get both!). Thanks Bohemian Brewery for the excellent time!

We had the pork shank and the chicken schnitzel. The pork shank came with spatzle and red cabbage-excellent dish. The chicken schnitzel was pretty good. It had a fresh taste to it and even a little lemon-y, which didn't make the fried cutlet taste too rich. It came with mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies. The veggies were your basic steamed veggies, but the dish was overall good. Service was great-server was attentive and the manager came around as well to check on us. I think it would be fun to come here for Oktoberfest, since the inside has a good ambiance.

For the month of June, Gracie's is packed with night after night live music, which for us was a DJ set on the first floor when we entered. Cover fee at door was $5 each, wasn't entirely bad but after ordering our food and drinks, it felt like we got priced on everything, even for fry sauce that the waitress offered. We had the spinach & artichoke dip, the garlic burger, and Shepard's pie, as well as two cocktails - Aperol spritz and a french 75. The French 75 was served in a glass full of ice, so it didn't really taste like the traditional cocktail so we ended up ordering different drinks. The s&a dip was good, nothing special. The garlic burger was juicy and very apparently garlic. The Shepard's pie came with a roll and butter, which the butter sat on the hot plate for too long and became complete liquid. The chili oil drizzle was nice but did not add the kick in spice we were hoping for, the mashed potatoes and gravy were pleasant however the meat part of that dish tasted so dense, it was difficult to finish. With the loud DJ set on the first floor, large groups of 22 year olds on the patio, and the food and drinks being alright, I feel like the idea of Gracie's is better than some nights actually there.

January had Fish & Chips on the menu and I read there was a kitchen staff change -- I'm not sure whether the ownership changed or not, but the food was still delicious. We tried the Miso Fried Chicken the first time around and it was pretty good, 4/5. Chicken was juicy, not dry. We also ordered an appetizer, a duck poutine (?) which they no longer serve. I tried with Twice Cooked Pork Belly, which was really good. Pork was not dry, the shave cucumber salad was oddly addicting and added a nice flavor profile to the pork, and the garlic rice was slightly crunchy as if it was fried. One thing that I didn't enjoy was that the seat (made of some sort of fabric material?) smelled a bit like urine. Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Cubano, House Potato Chips, House Pickles…read more I'd best describe the menu as upscale pub fare. In general it is well executed, but largely familiar. The meal itself was fine, though somewhat standard and predictable. I was lucky enough to dine with someone who was willing to share, which gave me the chance to try both the Cuban and the Grilled Chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken wasn't listed on the printed menu. It appeared only on the online menu, but was being offered as the special of the day. Of the two, the Cuban was the clear winner. The flavor combination of meats and dairy fats made it hard to compare the sandwiches head-to-head. Every bite was satisfying, and the richness worked exactly as intended. The grilled chicken sandwich had its own appeal, but it felt a little busy. Between the piquillo pepper cheese and the bacon jam, there was a lot competing for attention. It was still enjoyable, just not as cohesive as the Cuban. For a side, I chose the clam chowder instead of the fries or salad. The chowder was decent, but it wasn't a dockside shack in Boston Harbor or something from a family recipe. I missed the deep, rich texture that comes from a buttery roux. It didn't seem like this batch was simmered slowly to developed flavors, it seemed to rely more heavily on flour for thickening. We also started with the pickle plate and the house-made chips. The chips were easily the favorite of the two - crisp, salty, and addictive. If you didn't act fast those disappeared quickly at our table. The pickle plate was a bit more surprising, particularly in terms of the generous portion size of beets, though it didn't leave quite the same impression with our diners as the chips. What really stood out the most about the evening wasn't the food. The real stars of the night were the staff. We made an online reservation for Saturday at 7 p.m., and everything went smoothly on that front. We arrived as the restaurant was coming off the backside of its dinner rush, and you could tell the servers had already put in a long evening. Even then, they remained upbeat and genuinely pleasant. They kept the energy positive and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. Were they perfect? No. At one point a glass broke at our table, and we ended up doing the cleanup using napkins and our bare hands. But considering the pace of the night and the fact that everyone is human, it felt like a minor hiccup rather than a major issue. The staff's professionalism and attitude throughout the evening easily outweighed that moment. We made sure they understood this on the bill. Great hospitality can elevate an otherwise ordinary meal, and that's exactly what happened here.
