I am a HUGE supporter of local, family owned and small business. My dad worked for a company back in the day for nearly 22 years, and then decided to start his own business all by himself. Move across the US to Southwest region, and took a HUGE HUGE RISK supporting a wife family of 6. He ran his business and it grew HUGE, One dream, one vision, one achievement, after working nearly 65 years, kids all grown adults now he is now retired, at 83 yrs old and ENJOYING his fruit of his labor. He TOOK one of the BIGGEST risks ever. One of most HARDEST WORKING FAMILY man I have ever known. Now 50 years later, this generation and the entrepreneurship of Self Made is so so hard nowadays yet again, it can be achieved and a reality. There is a saying, that goes, "There is a first time for everything with the cliche, "Don't knock it till you try it." I DON'T even know what to say at this point. There used to be another restaurant there before Boil Daddy came an upscale family restaurant, this location off of Hidden Valley, is a good spot seen by lots of traffic as it is near the thoroughfare of other businesses, homes, and other restaurants as well. I do give kudos they are trying to bring something different A breath of new ownership and a new kind of food, then the mundane burgers, tacos, pizza, sushi and the like. I do not know if Gordon Ramsey were to try this Boil Daddy with our dishes we ordered. I do not know if he would be happy or utterly sickened. I have looked over ALL I mean ALL the other customer reviews, they are truly LUCKY AND BLESSED to have had a GREAT INCREDIBLE experience at THE BOIL DADDY, if I could describe in detail, our experience of our food, and how VEHEMENTLY SICK to the stomach my husband and my son got, (he did say at the very beginning he would like NON SPICY) is an understatement. Owning, operating, maintaining a business, is a 24 hr. 7 days a week starting out. I know some friends who have tried the BOIL DADDY in the beginning and how great they are. I TRULY wish our first experience would have been a pleasant one however, it was not at all. Not only did my husband but our youngest son we did not even finish the food either. Only a few bites we all took, my husband especially, (he worked lived in Louisiana for almost 10 years, so he knows Cajun and Creole cooking when he sees it and tastes it) he only took maybe 1 bite and told them not what he ordered they made the dish and they remade his order and it was still wrong dish and EVEN WORSE TASTING then the first order. SMH all the shrimp, sausage, it tasted like it was ALL cooked and thrown together. Was horrible and he had asked for non spicy, and they dumped All spices on it I tasted a bite It TASTED SO SO SPICY AND BAD. I felt really really horrible and bad for my husband. He was trying not ot puke. We asked to speak to the manager, he was so nice but the customer service SUCKED. The decor was nice, but the food did not match up with the ambiance. My dish I love garlic but my whole dish was Overpowered with Garlic it tasted like they dumped whole big jar of garlic on my food. IT WAS DISGUSTING I could not taste ANY I mean ANY shrimp, potato, rice, sausage was so paper thin, I thought they would have cut them into pieces. My sons sandwich PO BOY he said tasted NASTY. I still had the taste in my stomach of Garlic 5 hrs. later finally now out of my system. My husband puked in the toilet 2 hours later. Horrible. So, 1 out of 5 stars, i give it 2 out of 5 it could have been better. My husband gives it 1, and son a 0. There are other seafood and cajun restaurants also, I may give them a try again. 1 out of 10 I give this place a 3 out of 10 and that is pushing it. That is all for now, The Boil Daddy definitely BOILED itself into a pot of disappointment and sickness. Found this place close to my home and decided to give it a try instead of Boiling Crab. The ambiance is good... a bit small tables are a little cramped up. We were greeted as soon as we came in and were seated shortly. I noticed there is only one waitress for 9 tables... she was everywhere trying to serve and take orders. We ordered our food it came pretty fast.... I ordered shrimp, lobster tails, and king crab legs with the "boiled daddy" sauce (the names on the menu are a little cringe BTW) the sauce was way below expectation! Had lots and lots of garlic with a ton of butter but, not any flavor!!!! Like it's spicy, hot, and super garlicky but, seasoning is definitely not there. Trying to justify because everyone is very nice and welcoming I hate to give two stars but, they really do need to work on their flavors. I don't think I will be back :/ read more

Ordered from The Boil Daddy via Postmates and was not impressed. The BOGO deal they have right now sucked us in. The shrimps were on the smaller side and fries were undercooked and under seasoned. They just tasted like biting into raw potatoes lol. The one thing we actually liked was the fried fish as part of the fish & chips basket. The breading is actually seasoned and not too thick. The restaurant is in soft opening mode, so they definitely have time to improve. I don't think the issues we experienced had to do with getting the food delivered vs. dining in. Not a super terrible experience, but I'd rather order from The Nook in Norco. read more

Trust me, I know about Inflation...but 3 bucks for a can of coke a 6 bucks for a smoothie that is in a sippie cup and looks NOTHING like their picture. Looked more like carrot juice for a baby. The food??? Not impressed! We got the mahalo shrimp that was supposed to be the fish..but they messed up. Had really no sauce to go with it. Need a sweet and sour kind of sauce with spice! Also got the fish and chips....very greasy and skimpy amount! Tater sauce comes in packets. But the little amount of food was 17 bucks each! Was no discounts offered for soft opening. I showed him the flyer that they have laying on counter but was told next visit. Says nothing about using for next visit. If it were my place, I would have offered a discount to make ya happy and make for a first time visit nice and hopefully keep ya coming back! Oh well! It's very meh. Very clean and friendly staff though which is what's getting the two stars and the food deserved one star. Staff greeted me right when I walked in and was cleaning tables. I ordered my food over the phone and live pretty close by so I made good time getting there. I did the seafood boil a spicy chicken sandwich and daddy fries which is just Cajun fries. For the price I was expecting better but it was all just a little sad. While I took the food to go the fries were easy to reach and they were already cold and in my opinion very salty and weirdly sweet. The spicy chicken sandwich wasn't spicy at all and I know everyone's spice level is different but when the spicy chicken sandwich is sweet that's pretty telling of the spice level. The seafood boil consisted of a 1lb of headless shrimp and a 1/2 lb of mussels along with 4 pieces of corn, 5 potatoes and fives sausages. The sauce which was daddy sauce (Cajun and garlic butter) was very delicious and the shrimp was very clean and cooked to perfection along with the potatoes, the mussels were missing meat however. I counted at least fives that had nothing in them and was disappointed. I will also say the shrimp is was very small and for the price it's a bit of a let down how little you truly get in the end. The sausage also befuddled me as it was strips of what looked like a beef kielbasa and I was expecting round sausages not the chunks that it was. Even with a medium spicy sauce level everything tasted very mild and needed hot sauce added to it at home. All in all it's still very decent food with friendly staff and maybe it's just my taste buds that didn't like it that much. They were playing loud pop music, which isn't really our vibe but it wasn't the worst thing ever. The food was decent and the price was fair. The reason why we are only giving it three stars is primarily because of the boil we ordered. It was not very flavorful besides an overwhelming amount of garlic (we ordered shrimp with the daddy sauce). We also ordered the shrimp basket with Cajun fries, which was a heavier portion than we expected. The food is worth the money for the portions, but not for the flavor in our opinion. If you've ever had authentic Cajun boil, you would be pretty disappointed in this place. We had high hopes and still had a great date night, but probably won't be back. read more
