Happy to see the boiler room open. This is a sports bar. TV's around the walls. We ordered the onion rings and they were cooked excellent . They were crispy but the homemade ranch was the star. My daughter got the wings that were ok. They needed to be cooked a little longer to crisp them up. The chicken fingers were good. I got the cheese steak with pepper jack cheese. Also added onions peppers and mushrooms. It was delicious but a bit greasy. The shoestring fries were crispy and good. Service was friendly and fast on drinks. read more

The process is evolving. The food goes from the grill to the right. Then it goes to the left. By the time it's picked up, it's cooling off. The old boiler room delivered it steamy. The grill might be in the wrong place and too small. You can't pierce a carrot with a plastic fork. The salad is very good and a nice size. But it's hard to eat with a plastic fork. Went for a Frosty fish fry with my wife and totally enjoyed ourselves. Tons of fish, and i had onion rings instead of fresh and the serving was awesome. We tried to get into the Boiler Room last night for dinner but there was an hour wait so we went back and had lunch today. There is a lot of hype around this restaurant - longtime Bradenton local spot now under new ownership after being closed for 5 years or so. We loved it! We ordered 1/2 steak cheesesteaks with provolone cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms. They came with shoestring French fries. Delicious!! Very flavorful and the soft bun, superb. 1/2 order was the perfect size. The wait staff was terrific. This restaurant certainly has a bar feel about it. Four flat screen TVs, high top and bar seating, along with traditional seating around the inside wall. We will be back! read more

We had dinner last night at the boiler room and it was fantastic. It was simple but fantastic. We split the wings and fries dinner. I think it was 13 bucks and we both got full. The wings come in many flavors and they were absolutely delicious. The fries are super super skinny fries. My husband's favorite and they were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside and they were perfect too The people who work there are so nice and so courteous and so friendly. We have been in there a couple times to just have a glass of wine or a beer. Always treated so nicely. We always stood at the bar so we can talk to everybody and watch them cook. The customers are friendly. They have a pool table that people seem to utilize quite a bit. I will be coming back quite soon. There's several things I definitely want to try, including seafood dinner and Southwest egg rolls. Quite a few people seem to get the Philly cheesesteaks and they looked really good I have to say. First time there after driving by every day for the last 10 years! I had heard it described as a dive, but it's really not bad inside. Looked clean, furniture is newer, not a bad place to hang out. Menu prices looked a little high, until we saw the size of the sandwiches! My husband had a burger, said it was very good. Looked like it had to be a third to a half pound of meat! I had the cod sandwich special, which was great. The piece of fish was significantly bigger than the bun. Both came with a healthy pile of shoestring fries. read more

They are dry because the cheese is scant and it's at the bottom in the bread. fries come with and are terrible and over cooked. not enough help. the people next to me were saying the same thing. not anything like it was. This is what we were waiting for. The Same sandwich! The name "Boiler Room" should not be used if it's not even close to what it was. Best cheesesteaks in Tampa Bay! I've tried to find at multiple restaurants a good cheesesteak in Fl. From Jersey where we know our cheesesteaks. Boiler Rooms are better. Fresh bread, steak is chopped like Jersey and mix of cheeses are incredible. Also, the shoe string fries are hard to find in FL and they have fresh cut like Jersey. We had heard a great deal of hype about this place and being from the Philly area we're always up for a great cheese steak. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with both the food and the service. After being quickly seated we waited 50 minutes for two cheesesteaks. We watched people who came in after us be served and when we asked about it were told our food would be ready in a few minutes. When we finally got our food we could not have been more disappointed. It was reminiscent of a school cafeteria cheesesteak; greasy with no flavor. We hope they work out the kinks but we won't be back. read more

Called multiple days in a row and although the website says they take orders on the phone they always say "they aren't taking any phone orders until they get things situated in the restaurant". Which is ridiculous, if you have that much business just say dine in only or create a way to take call-in orders. Or create a system at which allows for people to call in and do takeout. read more

Cool little bar/greasy spoon. Though not a huge selection, the beer is cold. Pretty good steak and cheese sandwiches. I'm not from Philly so I don't know how they rank compared to the authentic thing. I dig them. The rest is good deep fried and grilled fare. After a few beers you will love it I'm sure. My mom used to come here all the time to get food to go. She raved about it. Unfortunately I didn't make here until she passed. Seems like a good place to bring the game in the afternoon/early evening and a good place for mom and dad to belly up to the bar without the kids. This is an old school bar and grill. From 10:30 on they shovel cheesesteak out the drive in window Like Siberian coal miners. The grill is always sizzling and the daily food special is on the board. They let us order food when I am certain they wanted to get ready to close and head home. We all ordered steak and cheese sandwiches, and shared a couple orders of cheese fries. I am from the Northeast, and as you can see by my other reviews, I often take weekend trips into Philly for an authentic cheesesteak. The one I had here at the Boiler Room was as close to authentic as I have ever had outside of Philly! THANK YOU!!!! Stopped in for lunch with my brother who recommended the joint. And it's a joint alright. We ordered Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and a basket of onion rings. I'm not about to get into a spat with some Philly phanatic about Geno's or Pat's, but for Bradenton, The Boiler Room will satisfy your itch for a Philly cheesesteak. I dare you to find a sandwich anywhere that stuffs as much meat onto a bun as these folks do. Next time I may ask for some extra cheese though as it all wound up on the bottom of the bun. No matter, it was a delicious sandwich and the onion rings were great. Above all, the service was stellar. They were very attentive and made sure we had refills or whatever else we needed. I'll definitely go again! For those who care, it's a great little bar spot with some TVs and a generous happy hour starting at 3pm. The ham was gross and fatty and the salami was scarce, there was no mayo like I asked so I had to put it on separately, oil and oregano was put on when I didn't want it and I was given the wrong kind of cheese. We found this place on yelp and stopped for a philly steak sandwich. It was virtually deserted. We thought the food was ok and we appreciated that they were open so late. Beer choices were pretty slim unless Budweiser is your favorite. This place has been around forever, but, I haven't been there in years. The other day my husband and I were out running errands and decided to stop by. The place hasn't changed a bit....I mean, NOT A BIT! I say this in the nicest of ways - the place could use a coat of paint and a good cleaning. And I don't mean enough to ruin the charm of the place, but, at least clean off the stickiness off the menus. That being said - it is the best steak sandwich you will sink your teeth into. I swear. The bread is perfect, the steak is sliced ribeye - perfectly seasoned with fresh mushrooms and onions. We split a large sandwich and an order of onion strings. The onion strings were simple but delish, not, greasy. They don't come with a sauce which made us nervous at first, but honestly you didn't need anything on them. We also ordered a cup of Jambalaya. We never got it. When I told the server, he apologized and asked if we wanted it - we said no, not at this point. He then asked us if we wanted it taken off the bill (he was serious)! Just tried to call for a take out order and someone picks up the phone and just sits it down. I hung up after 3 minutes of thinking someone accidently picked it up. Finally get through and not even a hello I get "we are not taking orders we are too busy". I said no take out tonight and the person just hangs up. After 20 years of take out from Boiler Room will never order there again. Have some courtesy to answer correctly and maybe apologize to who you are talking to. read more
