They didn't have the tire I needed but mounted the tire a found at the shop next door. I had never been in before and they were very busy. The Yamaha factory demo semi was there giving demo rides and the shop was very busy. I came after 3:00 pm and they were able to get my tire mounted. The shop next door? I have spent well over $1000 dollars on gear and tires in the last year but they couldn't manage to take care of me.

They mounted my front directional tire backwards--a mistake no professional shop should make. Directional tires are engineered to channel water away from the contact patch and maintain stability at speed. When installed in the wrong direction, the tread can actually pull water toward the center, increasing the risk of hydroplaning. On a motorcycle, where you only have two small contact patches keeping you upright, this is more than an inconvenience--it's a serious safety hazard! Beyond wet-weather traction, reversed directional tires can affect braking performance and cornering stability. The tire's internal construction is designed to handle forces in a specific orientation, and mounting it incorrectly can compromise both handling and longevity. Mistakes happen, but this one shows a worrying lapse in attention to detail. I hope the dealership takes this seriously and improves their quality control, because riders depend on them for safe, reliable service.
