Bold rock brewery has an assortment of ciders, beers, cocktails, and more. We had a nice time sitting near the open windows on a breezy Saturday afternoon. There was live bluegrass music and a lively atmosphere. We ordered a couple "build your own" flights so that we could try a lot of beers and ciders. I loved the IPA Apple cider and the Pumpking beer the best. The regular apple cider is great, too. They also have non-alcohol options for beverages, which is nice. We didn't try any food this time, but it looked good. I would come back to try the food, too.

I am a huge cider lover, and was extremely excited to visit bold rock Asheville. The location in downtown Asheville is absolutely huge, a great place to bring a large group and hang out with some really great ciders. They also carry victory brews for those who would prefer a beer. We also noted they had a selection of bourbon and whiskey through Southern tier distillery. We arrived on Wednesday night after dinner and were able to enjoy a couple of different ciders and beers. Wednesday night they also have a singo which is like bingo only with songs. We had a a great time jamming out to songs that were one hit wonders and making friends with the people sitting next to us. They also offer $.75 wings on Wednesday night. The wings overall weren't bad. They could've been fried a little bit longer just to get that crisp but overall they were good. We opted for the medium sauce and it had just enough kick to it, but wasn't overpowering. I started with the berry peach cider, and while it was good, it is incredibly light in flavoring. I opted for the imperial next, which has a much higher ABV count, but the overall flavor is delicious. I had had the blackberry cider at dinner and opted to mix the blackberry and the imperial together. Absolutely delicious. Looking forward to ordering that one again before we leave town.

    Blackberry cider!! Yummmmmm

Stopped here for some cider drinks. The blackberry shown here is really good. This is a big place - plenty of space for large groups. They have plenty for my gluten free peeps and their French fries are amazing!! Good service, prompt, friendly! Prices are also reasonable! You won't be disappointed

We had the best time at this Bold Rock taproom. They have a full calendar of events that is sure to have something for everyone. We have been to both trivia and SINGO which were equally enjoyable. Obviously there are plenty of great drink options, but they also have some great food. We had the smash burger special which came with fries. Everything was delicious, the people were nice, and I wish Bold Rock had more taprooms. The space itself is large and able to accommodate groups of all sizes which is a plus.

I visited the taproom yesterday for brunch with a bachelorette party group and unfortunately was disappointed. The taproom itself is beautiful however our service was subpar and the food was quite mediocre. We had reservations and were still sat in the bar area vs the dining room, which meant we had to go up to the bar and order all our food and drinks ourself since we did not have a waitress or server. It was certainly frustrating for us but I felt worse for the bartender who had to act as our waitress for a large group. To eat I got the breakfast cheesesteak with potatoes. The cheesesteak was fine, nothing special but barely had any cheese on it. The potatoes truly had no flavor at all and were definitely over cooked. The one positive part of our experience was the drinks. I had a cider flight and all were delicious and I enjoyed being able to taste multiple drinks. They have very unique cider flavors! My favorite was the tangerine. I would visit again for drinks but not to eat.

First visit to this downtown Brewer. They had a live band playing when we arrived mid afternoon on Sunday, but we caught the very last song of her set before they packed up. Lots of beer to choose from here, and they have a full kitchen. And beer was very good overall and service from Andrew was excellent!

Stopped in for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon while in downtown Asheville. The place was hopping, but we were able to find a few seats at the bar. They have an extensive cider selection and we shared a flight. They have the traditional apple cider, but have many unique options, including pineapple, pearadise, oaked 5th and many more. Prices were very reasonable, and the staff were friendly. They have a large merchandise area when you first walk in. They have a wide range of drink options!. I would come back to try more ciders and food.

Another solid spot in AVL! Came here on Sunday, St Pats, and it was loud and lively! We just missed brunch, but they still served us a Bloody Mary. We sat up front, still close to the festivities but just far enough away to be able to have an audible conversation.we got the grilled cheese short rib and the chicken nachos. The food came out pretty fast. I loved the short rib, I thought the nachos were pretty mediocre, but what can you expect from a beer hall! Reasonably priced, great ambience, nice merch section too. The bathrooms are DARK. Not super important but could barely see in there. I wouldn't be against coming back here!

The cider selection here was amazing - they had so many different flavors and all tasted great! We also enjoyed the Korean BBQ brussel sprouts, but be careful because they are spicy! The atmosphere was both cool and relaxed and the service was awesome too.

This is a huge tasting room in Asheville. They are mostly ciders but they did have other beer options as well. Nice and clean with a cool private room in back, they also have full kitchen but we didn't eat here this time. I had a flight of ciders, imperial berry, blackberry, India pressed apple and the premium dry. They were all good. The Blackberry was my favorite. Bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. There's parking available around the streets downtown or in local garages.

We had a great meal at Bold Rock. Relatively standard menu with something for everyone. Very cool and modern taproom $12 cocktails were a little small for the price.

    Actually really good cider

TLDR: Opt for a flight of cider alone and elsewhere for food, especially during brunch. Unfortunately I have to give Bold Rock a 3* based on their service during a Saturday Brunch. If it was up to the cider alone however, (and I'm not a cider dude) it would've been 4-5*. The food was mediocre during brunch and we sampled pretty much everything off of the menu. They best way to sum it up is just bland. A sauce to go with an entree goes a long way, and Bold Rock just didn't bring it. The service is where things really went downhill. It was pretty busy (as is expected during brunch) and only one bartender was working. Needless to say we spent a lot of time waiting on drinks (45 minutes between ordering and arriving x2). Also the drink runner (didn't catch her name) was just unpleasant. Bold Rock, highly recommend a few more bartenders and drink runners during peak times! I will say that the live music was good, our table server was friendly, and the cider was actually really good (and I normally do not enjoy cider).

Loaded Fries with bacon. You want this!

Enjoyed brunch. The band did a great job with bluegrass renditions of songs I knew. Now on to the food! Bae said the breakfast cheesesteak was very tasty. I enjoyed the chicken and biscuit topped with gravy. Even though the entrees came with potatoes (flavorful and seasoned) we ordered loaded fries for the app. OMG! They were some of the best loaded fries I've had in a long time. Even though we each had a cocktail I enjoyed the flight more. Make a rest in advance. We arrived around 11:30am on a Saturday. No sooner than we got our table folks started flowing in. Our server Morgan was very attentive and did a great job! And how could I forget the world's most adorable cutest littlest biscuits served with apple butter!

In terms of food, I ordered a mediterranean bowl and was pretty happy with it. Reasonably well presented. Some evidence of investing effort in creating an individualized concept. The ingredients were also very fresh. The toppings also fell within a reasonable balance. It wasn't overwhelming. It wasn't the best salad of this type that I've had, but it made for something crisp and fresh to pair with a pint. All that having been said, my suggestion would be to go for the beer. Almost every beer on the menu is a split batch fermented with two different yeast strains to showcase the resulting differences. It's a great concept, even if you're not into brewing. In terms of the food, it seems like the really leaned into providing something good, well-balanced, and sometimes takes advantage of the yeast and beer being cultivated on site. I had a house salad and some dilly beans for lunch. The house salad was fresh and extremely well balanced. I'm glad they had something vegetable centric available. The dilly beans were good, but quite a bit for a single human. They're probably the type of thing you would want to split among friends. I actually showed up for an event in the evening where they served pizza using dough fermented with one of their yeast strains. That was truly excellent. Nicely balanced, not over the top, with a deeply flavorful crust. If you're in Asheville, I would consider this a must visit destination.
