The totally redesigned and decorated location features a pre-British Maharaj like ambiance. I believe there's about 10 white clothed tables with each one having a decorative little plant. I ordered by DoorDash while visiting SoBe. The food was aweful! I ordered the paneer saag, but received plain unseasoned tofu instead in spinach. It was spicy, but lacked flavor otherwise. I also ordered the samosa chaat and it was absolutely disgusting. They actually put hot sauce on top of it and LOTS of cilantro. I didn't receive any dinnerware with my order so I had to go to the hotel restaurant to get something to eat with. I've had good authentic Indian food, but this wasn't it. read more

This is the 2nd night for Bombay Grill. At 8pm we were apparently the first for dinner on a Saturday night. Within an hour though the place was nearly full. SOBE has had several Indian Restaurants in this location over the 20 years we've lived here. This is a refreshing reincarnation offering a healthier version of Indian than we've found in South FL. Take samosas, for instance - not on the menu. In their place is Samosa Chaat, a cold chickpea salad with the familiar Samosa flavored and not deep fried. Crispy bits of crusty fried crunches made this a lovely, healthy starter. Paired with paper-thin papadam and sweet and savory chutneys the meal had a nice start. Service was attentive and the entrees "Chicken 65" a boneless tandoori chicken dish with grilled onions and peppers and raw onions paired well with the whole wheat Roti. Matar Paneer, garlic naan and white rice (brown is available upon request) made for a filling meal. The menu is a bit more limited than some other Indian Restaurants we've visited, but everything was fresh and flavorful. We look forward to returning. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. This place is awful, we got out of there in less than 2 minutes. The staff is not welcoming at all, and the place stinks like a public toilet. Most of the things on the menu are not available which is written by a marker by someone with really bad handwriting. What a great experience - I just had with Doug & our friends Dashi & Bodhi at Bombay - the best Gobi was amazing & we had the most delicious fresh tasting spinach & Channa Masala - we ate Asi much & still got food to take home & the best Chai tea, too !! I am an India who lives in San Francisco and have been to almost half of the world but never seen such an unethical business ever! And that too an Indian Resturant!! We found this Indian restaurant as the restaurant was the closest one, we sat to have a tea, after we sat down the owner or the manager asked me and my parents to get up and stand since we are not ordering food but just tea. I was like wtf, it's the worst customer treatment ever! They were like you can just get tea and take it away no need to grab a seat! A business should be customer centric and should treat customer nicely, this is just a business ethics! What a disappointment! I had been scoping your menu for weeks, drive an hour from the Keys today only to be turned away because the chef/manager or someone important wasnt there! Our family had a great meal at this delicious, warm and inviting restaurant. The owner came over to say hello and made clear we were a priority and the wait staff was attentive, patient, and made great suggestions. The food is delicious, the portions generous, and the prices extremely reasonable. We all loved the cauliflower appetizer--so delicious and tangy. The spinach dish was spiced just right, and the garlic Naan was among the best we've enjoyed. A down to earth place that aims to please. We'll be back. P.S. We ordered here on Uber eats pickup total of 3 items. They did not give us one item and when we called them they hung up on us several times. Finally my husband went there and they said it was our fault and we didn't order the item; however they lied and we showed them the receipt which clearly showed the items and they were extremely rude, ruined our whole night . I love Indian food. I've had the pleasure of having multiple Indian friends show me the best places in big cities. I ventured here as it's close to where I live and have to say they have the best naan I've ever had. Perfectly soft but chewy and crisp in the right places. I also ordered the palak paneer and it was outstanding. The other reviews seem to have a problem with the prices, but it's central South Beach so $17/plate makes sense... also the servings are huge and the quality is top notch. I can make 2 large meals out of what I ordered. Looking forward to coming back! read more

We stopped in on a whim last night after realizing that our regular Indian restaurant was closed on Mondays. The food was excellent and the waiters were very attentive! I ordered the paneer tikka masala and my fiancé had the chicken tikka masala. Both were extremely good! They also have a lot of vegan options with tofu, which I have never seen before but will definitely try next time! We were very happy to find this place since it is located so close to us!
