    Chili Waffle fries

Came in randomly to grab some take out pizza, not really expecting too much- god, SO GOOD. I ordered a half butter chicken pizza/ half tandoori, it was so yummy! The butter chicken was definitely the winner though, more flavorful than the tandoori, but both really solid together. Also, get the chili waffles fries- I've never had such good, crunchy waffle fries before, 10/10s all around.

Ambiance: 4/10 it was clean but a strange interior. Service: 6.5/10 they were nice. Nothing to write home about. Food: 6.5/10 Really unique sauce and toppings (including cilantro, paneer, chicken, etc.) the only thing I'll say was a little disappointing was the crust. While flavorful and flakey, i was expecting and wanted a fresh dough that gave homage to a naan. Instead it just tasted like a good frozen pizza dough. Really liked the concept of this place but I wish it made better crust.

They forgot the sauce on the pizzas!!! Ordered via DoorDash and this is what arrived! Tried calling them, it rang 20 times and no one picked up. DoorDash only credited $6 per pizza.

What a great experience! We tried the butter chicken pizza, the tandoori pizza, the chili pizza, and the paneer pizza. They were all really good pizzas. I will say that I didn't quite get all the flavors you would expect. The butter chicken pizza didn't really taste a lot like butter chicken, if it did, it was very slight. Regardless, the pizza overall was tasty! I would defiantly try again for a new experience and if you like pizza and Indian food this is the perfect combo.

half Shahi Paneer Pizza & half Butter Chicken Pizza: turned out to be mix of chicken and paneer pieces in tomato sauce.

Very disappointed & dissatisfied with recent takeout order. Half shahi paneer & half butter chicken pizza turned out to be just a mix of onion, paneer & chicken pieces with some tomato sauce gravy. I've had these two pizzas here before and it used to be really good but this time very disappointed with the taste and preparation. Hoping the restaurant improves soon and I update my review!

    Boxes on the floor. Yuck.

Wow... where to start... So we ordered a BBQ chicken and shahi paneer pizzas. A few minutes after ordering and paying (including a tip), the counterperson came over to our table to tell us that they don't actually get the tips. I ask incredulously, "so who gets them!?" She replied the owner does and they do not share them with the employees. So I felt pressured to tip again, but I resisted. I question the legality of the owner's actions if this is really occurring. Next up... boxes and boxes. O Lordy! (See pic) On the back wall alone by the bathrooms I counted 350+ to go pizza boxes stacked from the floor way up high. There were boxes everywhere! Must've been 500-600 boxes in all throughout the restaurant. It looks ridiculous and pretty gross too since they're on the floor (health code violation?). And the counterperson was making even *more* boxes while we were there. Our pizzas arrive, and they look pretty good. The BBQ chicken pizza has a ton of chopped scallions, but they look like they were chopped a good 24 hours ago -- very dry looking. The taste is alright, but the crust is a serious gut bomb. It's so dense in fact that the pizza we took home we ended up tossing. I wonder if they are not proofing the dough properly?

Curry Waffle Fries, 5pc Tandoori Chicken Wings, 5 pc Hot Chicken Wings

Been to this place a couple times now and was pretty impressed by the fusion foods! The cashier service was always polite and gave good recommendations if unsure of what to order, and the inside was open and very clean. I want to go back to order the curry pizzas, but have been ordering the wings. This time around I got 5pc Buffalo hot and 5pc tandoori with an order of curry fries. The Buffalo were great in flavor but did not capture the crispiness I was hoping for, but the tandoori wings were excellent! Paired with the 3 sauces, you definitely get a nice blend of Indian spices and flavors in a traditional wing style. The curry fries were so crispy even with the curry sauce all over it, which tasted amazing! Highly recommend for their fusion options and variety of sauces.

Rock hard crust of a nearly inedible pizza. The part under the butter chicken is hard, dense, and chewy.

I discovered this place about a year and half ago. We tried our first Butter Chicken pizza one afternoon and then literally had it for dinner every night for a week, then usually a couple times each week after that. We often went to the store to order and pick up, but have had delivery before also. The quality was always fantastic. We were singing their praises to everyone we knew. Not today. I ordered out for delivery - it's my day off and we've been craving this pizza and a movie night. It arrived and as soon as I opened it I could see that the crust was super thin, unlike it used to be, which was just right. I checked the app to make sure I had not mistakenly ordered thin crust. The only special crust option is cauliflower and I did not select that, so it's no error I made. I decided to just eat, thinking maybe they are trying to save money by making thinner crusts now. Then, I took my first awful bite. The crust is tiny and rock hard around the perimeter, and the thin crust under the butter chicken is so dense, hard, and chewy that even the topping can't redeem it. The butter chicken on top is also very dry. We choked down a couple slices since this is our dinner - 2 large pizzas which I paid over $50 for. I don't know what changed. The crust recipe, ingredients, chef, owners, a mishap with leavening ingredient??? Whatever the underlying issue is, I won't be back and I won't recommend it anymore.

Pizza will never be the same. I am forever changed by the vibrant flavors, the aromatic spices, and the experience. We got the butter chicken pizza and saag paneer pizza on the naan and the tandoori chicken wings. All were incredible.

Butter Chicken Pizza on naan base

Hard to find words to describe how happy I am that this place exists. For the longest time, I have ached for pizza with paneer on it and a co-worker recommended this place. I wasn't too hopeful but the shahi paneer pizza blew me away. I have tried the chili paneer pizza too but it's not as flavorful as the shahi paneer one. The crust is most definitely off - so get the naan base, it's so much better. Husband got the butter chicken naan pizza and he loved it too! Other items tried: papri chaat and tandoori chicken both of which got rave reviews!

So glad I tried this spot! I knew curry + pizza was a combo that wouldn't miss. Great flavors and the amount of toppings is the most impressive I've ever seen. The only thing holding me back from a five star was the crust - it felt premade and a little lacking - but all in all a good experience. We also got the samosas, which were crispy, flavorful and hit the spot. And the chutneys that came with it were just right. We also tried a mango lassi, which was perfectionnn. I ordered takeout so we were in and out super quick with nice service. Solid spot!

What a fun pizza! Never had an Indian-inspired pizza before and it really worked. The fresh curry went very well with the fluffier softer pizza base. They're super generous with their toppings on all the options we chose. We went with 2 large pies and made them both half and half. One was Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken. The other was Shashi Paneer and Chili Paneer. The chicken was super tender and flavorful. Out of the four, the Butter Chicken and Chili Paneer were my favs. The spices were very refreshing on the pies. They've got a pretty big space with lots of seatings so dining in would also be fun. Totally a novel experience. Do go check them out.

Such a fun place! Imagine butter chicken on a pizza! So delicious and flavorful! When you're in the mood for both Italian and Indian at the same time!! They even have traditional pepperoni for the non Indian food lovers.

We highly recommend this place to anyone seeking quality wood-fired pizza loaded with flavor. tl;dr? "Best pizza I've had on the west coast; pizzaiolo needs some social skills work"…read more It's Friday night date night! Wife N and I watch cooking competitions (mostly for at-home recipe ideas because we love to cook!) and happened upon a few episodes of pizza-making and decided we both really had a hankering for "real pizza" for Date Night this week. Both Yelp-surfing, and on the recommendation of a friend, we decided to trek the 45 minutes out from Forest Grove (past no fewer than 30 pizza joints) to Maiale Rosa smack-dab in the middle of downtown Beaverton. Arrived around 6:00, ordered at the counter, and found a table. There were a few other patrons (plus those who came to pick up orders) but there were a couple available tables and an entire strip of bar seating, directly in front of the glass where you can watch the action. I'm a mushroom lover so the "I Funghi" immediately caught my eye and I ran with it, adding the offered prosciutto. She ordered a build-your-own with marinara, prosciutto, fontina and mozzarella cheeses and arugula. The pizzas arrived after a (pretty short) wait, probably under 10 minutes, felt quite fast. First bite: holy cowabungas! This was a forest floor mushroom extravaganza, with enough garlic and truffle oil that I caught myself uttering "whoa!". Prosciutto added after the bake (thank you! I hate chewy crispy fired prosciutto!) so it provided this lovely fattiness to each bite. Fabulous in every way. Found no flaws in Wife N's pizza and neither could she. Again, arugula added after the bake (because hot wilted arugula sucks) keeping it vibrant and fresh to the table. Crust: fabulous. Crispy and perfectly chewy all at the same time. Very hard to find one this well-made. Pizza size: these are all hand-made so obviously not quite perfectly round but it would be safe to say each was somewhere in an oblong 10" to 12" range. I would advise one pizza per heavy eater, unless you're two light eaters then one could suffice. We took half of each pizza home and those leftovers fed me the next day. Pizza: 5*'s. If you're just picking it up to eat at the food court nearby, or focused ONLY on the quality and taste, then this is the best pizza you'll find around. Pizzaiolo: 3*s. It's pretty obvious the chef-owner is an expert at pizzamaking, recipes, flavors. His product is masterful. What he has, however, is an obvious and penetratingly-palpable disdain for any kind of customer interactions or small talk. He's behind clear glass, at a seating bar. This invitingly conveys to his patrons: "Say 'hi' and chat with the chef." It's pretty clear that isn't his intent. Drywall separating us would have been a better pick. This is a man best left alone to make pizzas and scoff at his employees without customers having to experience this negativity. Pizza with a scowl. As we got up to leave I gave it one more shot, and honestly complimented him on his pizza---it's objectively the best I've had outside New York and I've never even been to Naples but if this represents their pizza, I'd probably like eating there too. His reply, which arrived mostly as he turned and walked away, was "great, put it in your Google review." Some diners are just there for the pizza. Others are just there to pick up a to-go. But there are some of us that plan, with anticipation, our experience eating at a new-to-us place. For us, it's more than about the food: it's about the entire experience of having eaten there. It's about chatting with the chef. It's about pursuing fine food. And it's about sharing at least a cursory relationship centered around your mutual love for their food creation. We'll very likely have their pizzas again (and it will be very tough for me to force myself to try something other than another I Funghi!). But next time, we'll probably just eat and go, because the clear message we received is "this isn't a happy place to hang out." And it's a shame, because those two pizzas were the better part of $60. For that, you'd think it could some with at least an attempt at a smile and friendliness from the guy that owns the place.

My cousin mentioned this place and we were hesitant to try it. He said they had great reviews and was in New York Times, but we were still hesitant to try it because we didn't care much for Pizza- nor were we craving it. It was me, my 15-year-old daughter, my brother, my sister in-law and my cousin. We were greeted but the most friendliest staff I've ever encountered IN MY LIFE. You order and pay at the counter and find a seat. They have an area where you can get your own waters as well. We ordered the Pho Pizza, Banh Mi Pizza, and the Chicken Satay Pizza. I wanted to order the Pandamn ice cream but they ran out as well as their tiramisu desserts. In my head I wanted to take away 1 star but then I tried the pizza. Pho - 10/10 First bite and I could NOT stop smiling. It was SOOO good! This was the groups favorite. My brother doesn't even like sprouts but it worked very well with the pizza. It was like eating pho but on bread. OMG my mouth is salivating just thinking about it and I can't even get it now because I'm in the Bay Area. Banh Mi - 100/10 This was my personal favorite. It was basically like an open Banh Mi with a hint of pizza. The flavors were amazing and I loved the pickled daikon and carrots on top! I'm not sure if refreshing would be the right world, but I know amazing would be another way I would describe this. I live in San Jose and I go to San Francisco often so I'm actually pretty disappointed in the Bay Area for not having anything like this. Satay Pizza - 9/10 To be honest, we were already getting full but because it tasted so good, we finished this one too. The sauce was a creamy curry sauce (I think with a hint of coconut) and had some peanuts sprinkled on top which gave it more flavor and a nice texture. Lastly, the pizza crust tasted AMAZING. It had a slight crisp to it but it was fluffy in the inside, kind of like Mochi bread. We literally left no crumbs! 1000/10 would recommend this place!

Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

When my partner pulled up into the 76 Gas Station, I was like "are we getting gas" and he's said,…read more"no." I said "what the heck are we doing here then?" And he said, "look, the pizza cart is in the corner." My silly self then doubted saying yes to my partner's suggestion of trying this place, and I huffily puffily said, "I'll stay in the car with baby." And my partner said, "no, please come outside, it's a beautiful day." FINE. I grumpily opened the car door while he got kiddo outta the car. I wanted to stay grumpy, but it smelled delicious right when I got out of the car. Okay, okay. This was a good sign. Partner went to order pizza then we went into the gas station and walked around and didn't find anything we wanted and/or didn't want to pay over $4 for a small bag of chips. Good lord. Also, the attendant said he couldn't check our 76 gas gift certificate unless we bought something (which I think is stupid and a lie). That's beside the point and I'll save my 1-star review for the gas station. Anyhow - it was a beautiful day to wait for good smelling pizza. We hung out in the trunk of our car, then chatted with Ryan (the owner) who is so kind and you can tell he's a good human!!! Our two pizzas were then ready and we raced home to try it while it was still piping hot and fresh! Boy oh boy, did our family enjoy the pizzas! Our son was ecstatic about the Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza, and my partner and I loved the pizzas!!!! I wasn't even that hungry but Leo and I almost ate the entire Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza. It was SO tasty! Ryan uses all super fresh ingredients for his pizza creations and you can really tell. A lot of times, when ordering pizzas of this style, the crust is too oven burnt and the pizza tastes okay or not that great, but he's a pizza genius and pours pride and care into his pizzas. You can really taste the care and quality!!! Our family can't wait to come back and get more pizzas! We are so glad he's so close to our house! What a win! Thanks, Ryan!

Ryan did a memorial party at our house. He did an amazing job feeding over 100 people. His pizzas…read moreare the best in Portland. He ages his dough in a fridge for 4 days before baking them. The dough is delicious and chewy. The night of the memorial he baked over 40 pizzas on site at our home. Keep him in mind for your next large event. Also his food cart on Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy is delicious for a great pizza for dinner.
