    Beer selection
    Jill G.

Cute BBQ place. Order at the counter, they call your name for food. Help yourself to sauces & fountain drinks. Great self serve beer selection. We got bang bang shrimp. 6/10 It was heavily breaded & sauce was very sweet, no heat. Sweet potato fries 9/10 Seasoned great & loved the garlic aioli Jalapeno cornbread 7/10 I wish it had more jalapeno flavor & pieces. Also, they didn't have butter. It needed a honey butter with it. My hubby loved his smoked turkey breast. He also loves their pork. Next time I'd get the fried shrimp so I can try the sauces with them. We've been to the Munster location many times. Recommend both.

The half pound of turkey was really good. I also recommend the sweet potato fries. Seems a little pricey but, I enjoy the quality of the food here. They are set up where you order at the counter upon entering and then they call your name when it is ready. The restaurant has an industrial feel to it with concrete floors and airplane (bombers) art work. They have a great selection of self pour beer.

Brisket nachos and 2 meat plate. $40 total
    Camie T.

Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The service was quick and the staff was fine. We ordered the brisket nachos and a 2 meat plate with a side of Mac and cheese. Unfortunately the Mac and cheese was the best part of our meal. The fried shrimp had a decent flavor, but the breading fell right off. The burnt ends were a bit chewy, and the nachos were just average. The beer wall was cool, although we were not drinking. Fun pinball machines to try out after dinner.

Brisket, turkey sweet potato fries and loaded mashed potatoes

Ordered to go. Cool interior with wall of beer. Brisket was good- nice smoke ring. Turkey was excellent. Sweet potato fries with garlic aioli was perfect. Loaded mashed potatoes were good: solid BBQ DIDNT blow me out of the water. Would go back

The tacos do come with three but I ate the first one pretty quickly!

I ordered an American staple, a burger with fries. The burger was juicy, well seasoned, and topped with crispy bacon. The bun was soft and held everything together without falling apart. The fries were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired well with the burger. A great spot for a laid-back meal with family or friends.

This cute restaurant is located in Crown Point, IN, and it's best to use GPS to avoid getting lost. The venue is nice and perfect for photos, with plenty of space. The bar has a lively atmosphere, and the food is good, with large portions. I ordered the Classic Smashburger and substituted the protein for an Impossible Burger. I expected to receive two patties since I had to pay an additional $4.00. While it's my choice to be a pescatarian, I still think that an extra $4.00 for a single patty is excessive, both here and at any restaurant. This brought the price of my burger from $18.00 to $22.00, which reflects the current costs of dining out. Overall, our server was really nice and accommodating. She was patient with us as we decided on what to order and even shared her favorite dishes, which helped us make our decisions. The others in my party ordered a Mushroom & Swiss Smashburger and a Tuscan Turkey Sandwich. I must say, the turkey sandwich (Shaved Oven Roasted Turkey) had so much turkey on it that it could have fed us for Thanksgiving, but we weren't complaining! It was generous, and she happily took home the leftovers. The drink we had was blah, it had peach deep eddy's, elderflower liqueur (which I love), citrus and a few other ingredients. I'll pass on that the next time, I think it had too much elderflower and not enough peach. We all enjoyed our food and the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely return when we are in the area, and I will be sure to recommend this place to my friends who live nearby. I would also consider throwing a small b-day celebration upstairs in the lounge. Thank you, Culinary Misfits, for a great lunch!

I had the Reyka and the Shrimp Étouffée (featured special). My husband ordered the Bedarra Old Fashioned and the Southern Fried Chicken. Our drinks were phenomenal. The presentation of mine was not what I expected. Loved the aesthetics! The Shrimp Étouffée was not one of our favorites. Shrimp was cooked to perfection but the rice and sauce ok, it was bland. The southern fried chicken was really good. It was flavorful and juicy. Definitely coming back when our daughter plays out there again. Nice place to grab a drink and a quick bite.

When our food arrived, I cut into mine and it was extremely rare--so undercooked that one side of the patty was still pink. My son's burger was cooked correctly, so I know mine clearly wasn't. When our waitress checked on us, I explained the issue, and she politely apologized and took the burger back. A few minutes later, the manager on duty brought the same burger back upstairs, slammed it down, and asked with an attitude, "What is the problem?" I explained that it was undercooked and that I had ordered medium well. She then asked, "What do you want me to do with this?" while just standing there staring at me. After acting irritated, she asked if I wanted a new burger or wanted "this one" recooked. The idea of them recooking a burger I had already cut into and handled felt completely unsanitary. Her attitude throughout the interaction was awful. I declined a replacement, and she huffed that she'd remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, it got even worse. Just minutes later, an earwig crawled out of my friend's salad. We were horrified. We took a picture, caught the bug, and asked another server to get the manager. When she returned, she walked up with her hand on her hip and said, "Now what?" We handed her the napkin with the bug, and instead of apologizing, she opened it right there on the table, let the bug crawl out, scoffed at us, and said, "Fine, I'll take that off the bill too." At that point, my friend was covering her mouth in disgust after realizing she had been eating a salad with a bug in it. Rather than showing concern or professionalism, the manager snapped, "What do you want?! I didn't put the bug in the salad." I have never experienced such unsanitary conditions combined with such shockingly hostile customer service. Mistakes can happen, but the manager's behavior was beyond unacceptable. We left disgusted and will absolutely never return.
