I was buying a car and hoping to trade my older one in. Right away the manager came back in and said my car "wouldn't even start." Now, my car has a lot of problems but that was not one of them. He flat out lied to try and devalue my car and then offered me $100 for it. You can get that just for the battery! Absurd and insulting. The salesmen are crooks like you read about, unwilling to work with you much on price and tack on an almost $700 admin fee at the end when you're too tired to fight. Just down the street at Acura, they waived their fee for me immediately. Every lie in the book was used on me at DTEC, like I was an idiot (I look much younger than I am which was even commented on and clearly I was treated like I'm young and dumb), but I played the part because I liked the car. I was there from 11am to close. I was starving and getting dizzy. My salesman offered me a sandwich and pulled out his phone but clearly never intended to spend his precious scheckles. By the end I was so low blood sugar, I could hardly function and what did they do? They locked me in a room with Mike, the Finance Manager, who my dealer Reed boasted was "such a great guy" before I went in. Mike in no way lived up to this. In fact, he was the worst part of the entire experience. Rude, unprofessional, and uncompassionate. I told him many times I was tired, had a long day, I was hungry and not feeling well. He continued to HARD SELL me a warranty that I politely declined so many times I lost count. He just sat there and continued to crunch numbers to get his precious warranty in the bag. I finally convinced him to let me sleep on it. I asked several times if someone could provide me with a ride to pick up my car the next day, after spending nearly 30,0000 dollars!!! NOPE. TOUGH LUCK. "GET AN UBER." DISGUSTING!!! I told my Uber driver this and even he was disgusted and said he would never shop there. He was so appalled he said he was going to call them and tell them. I was a salesman when I was 16. I outsold everyone at my store and I did it by being honest, respecting my customers and caring for their needs. You will NOT find that at David Taylor. I Ubered in the next day, still tired and squeezing in between work appointments. I told them I was short on time and had to be in and out. Reed said I needed to see Mike again. I flat out told him I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE and did not want to talk about warranties, to which he callously replied, "Tell him." THEY LOCKED ME IN A ROOM WITH MIKE AGAIN WHERE HE CONTINUED TO HARD SELL ME AGAIN ANYWAY!" I politely declined again and again until I finally had to SHOUT at him and tell him to leave me alone, get my car, and get me out. I told him "You guys already took me for everything I have." He scoffed and mocked me "Pff Everything you have." Super professional, bud! I could go on but I would fire you immediately! I work in radio and know A LOT of people. I host my own show which thousands of people listen to around the world. I worked in Hollywood movies before that. Really not a bright idea to make this kind of impression on me. Just a little kindness, a little effort to make their customer happy would have gone a long way. Here's the cherry on top. The next day, I noticed damage on the car. I called Reed and he of course denied all knowledge and didn't care, passing me over to the higher ups. I called Burt and he never bothered to call me back. I'm guessing they will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help, as is their usual motto at this dealership. I was lucky and unfortunate enough to find the car I wanted here, but will never go back and never recommend. I had such a terrific experience at the dealer down the road and left them a great review even though I didn't buy from them. Know why? Because they treated me like a HUMAN BEING. David Taylor Ellisville only cares about one thing, GETTING YOUR MONEY.

Then the gentleman helping me says that I was leaving the vehicle with them. I told him I was waiting for it and he said it's a long 6 hour job. I told him when we made the appointment we were told 2 hours. Then one of the other guys already mad about me coming in early, says no you drove it here and it has to cool down. Why would you tell someone it's a 2 hour job but only if you don't drive your car to the dealership. Jeep overall has a terrible service department and this dealership in particular is full of rude staff and a manager who sits in his office rather than help deescalate. Go anywhere else.

He looked up my service profile, corrected my address (It hasn't changed in 34 years, but it was cross-matched with my youngest son's address and phone.) Everything got straightened out. Then, I needed my radio code to be recalibrated. Allan got in the car, turned it on, and the radio worked. WHO DOES THAT? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? It's an anti-theft radio. So, I guess if it doesn't move, it gets turned back on. I didn't know that. Allan estimated the car would be completed by 11:30 a.m. I was there for normal service, emissions inspection, radio recalibration and a car wash, which is free if you bought the car from West County Honda -- which I did. I was sitting in the service waiting area reading a book and I hadn't even finished a full cup of coffee -- and Allan came in to say everything was done. Holy mackerel! How important it is to keep up with standard service on your car!

He wasn't shopping - just a quick look around. He was approached by a salesman and he let him know he wasn't interested in talking with him and he didn't want the guy to start selling to him. But the dude didn't listen and tried to engage my husband in conversation, etc. He ended up leaving because the guy wouldn't leave him alone. We went back a week or so later to test drive a few vehicles. We got the same guy because he had approached my husband a week ago so now we have to be his customers. He got super pushy again! We were out on the lot and my husband went in and asked for a different salesman. The first one asked him why. My husband said, "I told you I didn't want to be sold and all you're doing is selling". So we got another guy. New guy wasn't pushy, but he was extremely frazzled. He was helping someone else at the same time and couldn't get it together. We test drove two vehicles and weren't ready to make a decision. We had already planned to test drive other brands. We thanked the guy and went to leave and he reminded us that it was the last day of the month. The last day of the month didn't matter to us. I know it mattered to him because of quotas and such. I did not feel it was appropriate to mention it to us. While at another dealership, we were told that Leo Payne owns dealerships in Colorado and doesn't really pay attention to this one. I don't know if it's true, but the place isn't what it used to be. We ended up not buying a Honda.

After we agreed to purchase it, we were taken into the dealership, where we processed the paperwork and provided the payment. After the deal was closed, we were escorted back to the car we thought had been initially shown to us, and left the dealership for home. After we got home, we tried to access the car's infotainment center using my cell phone without success. Nothing we tried seemed to work. Finally, I emailed the salesman asking for assistance with our problem, but he never responded. I also called the dealership at one point, and they were very unhelpful, bordering on unfriendly. It wasn't until I finally took the car to a different Audi dealership, in Creve Coeur, for help did we realize the West County Audi salesman had apparently switched the car on us and that we did not actually purchase the car that had been shown to us. This was a major disappointment for several reasons, but primarily because we felt we had been cheated. The salesperson at the Creve Coeur Audi dealership readily explained how we needed to use a USB cord to connect our phones to the car which was entirely different from what the West County Audi salesman had told us. Also, the car we purchased clearly didn't have the elaborate infotainment system that had demonstrated to us so meticulously. We've purchased many new cars, and this is the first time anything like this has ever happened to us. We do not recommend that anyone buy a car from this dealership.

I reached out on their web page about a vehicle and got a response very quickly. I set up a time to come in and meet with Tim McCoy to show me two vehicles I was interested in. I did a ton of research prior to viewing the vehicles so I had very little questions for Tim but the ones I did he answered quickly and sharply. Went for a quick test drive of the vehicle and was sold. Tim was a solid sales man and you could tell he cares about customer relationships. The negotiation process was a breeze, I knew what the values were coming into it and Bommarito had fantastic pricing up front. Only played a little bit but hey, it's part of the fun. Bommarito had good financing terms with several banks (always cheaper rates if you go to the bank first), and offered a solid warranty that I bought.
