They're that good for the price and the fact that they're made in the back of a boba shop makes it even more impressive. Also, the fact that out of the three locations, this is one of the less crowded ones makes it a great location for any opportunity. On weekdays during 2-6 pm, there is happy hour, you can get either popcorn chicken, french fries, or pot stickers with milk tea, black tea, or green tea for $8.00. I really like this place's popcorn chicken. Relative to the other boba shops I've been to, this place fries their popcorn chicken very well; the chicken is tender, juicy, and well seasoned. It is also not just all fried bits, there is a substantial amount of chicken which is very enjoyable. The drinks here are also pretty solid, on average they would get 4/5 for taste. I've tried their rose milk tea, regular milk, oolong milk tea, osmanthus oolong milk tea, lychee rose oolong tea, passion fruit green tea, original blended yogurt drink. My favorites would be their rose milk tea and passion fruit green tea. If you get a milk tea here, I recommend adding on egg pudding. I think this place's egg pudding is better than other boba shops; it is pleasantly soft and not too sweet, perfectly balancing the milk tea. Originally, the happy hour was $5.99 for a boba milk tea with choice of popcorn chicken, french fries or potstickers. No other options for tea. Now, happy hour is $6.99 for choice of boba milk tea, green tea, or black tea plus choice of popcorn chicken, french fries, or potstickers. The cup size has also increased, so, even with the price increase, everything is still worth it (especially that popcorn chicken). The popcorn chicken was pretty lean, well-spiced, and delicious. The green tea was pretty concentrated. I ended up saving half the tea for the next day, since I didn't want to overload on caffeine at 3pm. I'm glad to see that the transition seems to be quite smooth. Staff has always been really nice. A solid 4.5 stars. read more

I have been to their Alhambra location numerous times. I first saw this location as I was driving by. I believe this used to be a Tapioca Express and rebranded. I came here on a Thursday afternoon. Parking was very easy to find and there is plenty of space in the parking lot. I ordered the Sausage rice and the hot chrysanthemum tea. The sausage rice was delicious and definitely hit the spot for me while i was studying. The hot chrysanthemum tea warmed me right up.
