I stopped in at Goomo Tea during their grand opening weekend. It was hard to decide what kind of drinks to get from all the great choices. Since I don't live too far from here I came in here two separate days to try different things. I've got the mango pomelo, and then the second day I got a boba milk tea. I have been coming to this plaza for a minute years at the previous iterations of tea shops we're here. The decor inside so mostly looks the same but they've put their own touches on it. They have two kiosks that you can order from. And I'm sure it will be a lot more efficient now that the promotion is over because that was the only way to order and get the deal. Guests were struggling with a process and not knowing what to order as well. Under normal circumstances, you can order online and it's so much easier. They also have bucket sizes that are 1 liter that looks like a cool option. There aren't too many other places in the area that are doing that. So I'm excited to order that next time. It's great that Goomo Tea is a great addition for boba in the area. There is a parking lot or in the back. However, it can get easily filled. There can also be some street parking if you get lucky. read more

I wanted to update my review about the drinks I got at their grand opening! I got their Sunshine smoothie and it was pretty good with 0% sweetness because the mangos are sweet enough already. The mangos tasted very fresh. I had gotten Mango Pomelo Sago for my brother and he really liked the drink at 50%. He also enjoyed the jelly bits. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

Drinks have been very consistent and quality is top notch. Mt favorite drink is the Mango Pomelo, Strawberry Tornado, and their Brown Sugar Milk Tea. My favorite boba shop opened up a new location closer to me! Hurray! They are soft opening this weekend, so they have an abbreviated version of their food menu and what looks like the full version of their drink menu. I usually get their milk teas with boba or egg pudding or grass jelly. Today, I branched out and tried their strawberry green tea with boba and Sun Shine yogurt smoothie with egg pudding. Both drinks were refreshing for today's sunny day. I also got their popcorn chicken, as solid as the Walnut location. Love that they let me bring my reusable tumber and their drink cups so I can cut down on single use plastic. There is a shared parking lot in the back and lots of indoor seating! Plenty of seating to hang out and enjoy your drinks. Can't wait to now have a closer drive for my boba runs! read more

We came for their soft opening. It's a self service order. There is a good variety of drinks and the self service kiosk is easy to navigate. We tried the passion fruit jasmine green tea and lime jasmine tea. Both are great. The new decor looks very relaxing with a calm vibe. The staff is friendly and nice. Some items are at 15% off. Been waiting for this place to open near me. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. Vibes are super chill and it did take me a hot minute to get my order but I got their ube and peach slushes to try. The ube slush was super rich, startchy, smooth, thick, creamy, mellow, and perfectly sweet. Pretty sure it was taro and not ube tho. The peach slush had amazingly real fruity, light, peachy flaves and was also perfectly sweet and refreshing. Too bad it's only seasonal but Overall this place is pretty good. Came on a Sunday afternoon after lunch and there was a line. Fortunately, we didn't wait that long for our drinks. This is located where bubble republic used to be. The interior is updated and brightened. There's 2 kiosk that you order from. Ordered an orange green tea and watermelon juice both at 25% sweetness. We went for the BOGO promotion and I got the Sun Shine, Barley Mochi Fresh Milk Tea, Wintermelon Oolong Tea, Explosion Fresh Lime Green Tea, Fresh Peach Tornado, Fresh Watermelon Tornado, Mango Matcha Bump, and Taro Mochi Milk. Here at the store's grand opening. The shop is busy and definitely needs to be more efficient. I waited 45 minutes in line to place my order and another 30 minutes to get it. I ordered the Barley Mochi Fresh Milk Tea since I don't know any other shops that carry it. The texture of the barley is like popping boba, and I couldn't taste the mochi. The drink tastes more like cream cheese to me, but surprisingly, I enjoyed it. My daughter tried the Classic Milk Tea and liked it as well. They do send a text message when the order is ready. I would probably place an online order next time instead to avoid the wait. read more

Came in on the last day of their BOGO special literally 2 minutes before opening. I was the 21st person in line, so I missed out on their free bottles and tote bags. No big deal, though, since I have way too many trinkets. I waited about 25 minutes in line just to order, but I could imagine that the atmosphere would be spacious as there are lots of tables and chairs to spread out. It's still in its opening stages, so it's very clean. They had two kiosks to order and a counter to order in person, but they had all their employees on deck making drinks and distributing orders and freebies. Admittedly, ordering through the kiosk was very confusing; there were drinks I saw and wanted to try, like their green grape tea, but they weren't eligible for the deal? I also think it would've been more efficient to have the full menu displayed somewhere else aside from just the kiosk; their menu is pretty extensive, so maybe that'd be overwhelming, too. Shout out to the two employees distributing everything as they were very efficient and friendly. After about 40 minutes, I got my two drinks: an orange green tea and strawberry lime tea. Very refreshing but not worth waiting 40 minutes for. I know they're still ironing things out, so I'd come back after the hype dies out and try out their food items. read more

I was worried it'd taste bitter like unripe lime juice, but the lime blends well without overpowering the tea - Fresh Mango Green Tea (90% sweetness): Rich, smooth mango that reminds me of honey mangoes in season. The tea is subtle--it just tastes like mango juice - Fresh Mango Lime Green Tea (110% sweetness): Tasted almost the same as the Mango Green Tea. I could barely taste the lime, though it felt slightly more refreshing (or maybe it's placebo..?) - Watermelon Juice (90% sweetness): Perfectly balanced--not too sweet or too light. It's 100% juice with no caffeine, making it a great option for kiddos I love that they use fresh fruit instead of syrups. Went to Goomo for their grand opening and got their bogo drinks. There's a limit of 8 drinks total. I bought 4 total ( ube , strawberry and watermelon tornadoes + 1 barely milk tea. Menu was a little confusing as there is no 100% for the sugar but there is a 110% or 90 %. Considering it's pretty busy, they are getting the drinks out pretty quick. The drinks are amazing and have variety to choose from, the service is very friendly and welcoming, and the look of the place and the location itself is very convenient and nice. Came during their soft opening. We got the strawberry yogurt drink, which my kids loved, and also their milk tea since they were offering a BOGO deal. The tea was good - definitely more of a smoky flavor to it than I'm used to from elswhere, but it was good. Glad I had two of them to drink. :) Price-wise, they seem to be on par with some of the more expensive places, especially after adding in toppings. In terms of service, they were a bit slow but I'd chalk that up to being in soft opening. The folks are friendly, though. read more

Highly recommend this place! The drinks are delicious, and the Pink sea is so refreshing, fruity, and full of fresh strawberry flavor. You can really taste that the drinks are made with fresh fruit. Goomoo tea shop is situated at the corner of Las Tunas and Mission Blvd. There is a small parking lot located in the back with spots for maybe 20 cars. The back would be great to lounge around if they had some chairs or benches since there is a nice shady patio at their back entrance. I came here after work after seeing a post about a new cute boba drink closed to home and I thought I would give them a try since they had a buy one get one free promotion going on. I ordered 4 drinks: fresh strawberry green tea, wintermelon tea and 2 premium brown sugar milk tea. The drinks came out fairly quickly, so the wait wasn't too bad. I had the milk tea which I reduced the sugar level, so it was perfect. The milk tea was smooth and a nice tea flavor. read more

I got the strawberry matcha bump and added barley popping boba. It was alright. It tastes like milk water with barely there flavors in it. The barley popping boba had the pop but texture was like day old rice cake. Maybe I need to tweak the options better, but there's no recommended ones already highlighted so I don't really know. Came here on a Sunday 06/28 for their soft opening. I got a mango pomelo and popcorn chicken. My wife got the fried sweet potato taro filling on the house because it wasn't on the menu but she mentioned that it was her favorite and they happened to have it inside.. Cindy and Jackie were very nice for doing that for us. They took our order. It was very nice meeting them, superb service! My mango pomelo drink was just the way I like it and the popcorn chicken was tasty! Goomo has a special place in my heart! My first Goomo experience was in Walnut but I live in Highland Park, so knowing that they have a closer location to me, I'll be swinging by more often! This location in San Gabriel is bigger than their Walnut location and it looks pretty with all the decors and lights. It also has a restroom for customers.
