Very clean & vibey spot; the decor is very cute and cozy, they dim the lights after a certain time I'm assuming, loved it. Definitely have to come back and try other items out. Here's what we ordered: * braised short ribs - strong 7/8, i didn't like the veggies as much but flavor wise, very yummy. * honey roasted chicken - oouuu, a very strong 8/9, the sauce was amazing; veggies, everything was sooooo yum. * Caesar salad - strong 7/8 (wish it was more but we did split 1 just to try it out first) * Mac & cheese - the only item we did not like 1 bit. Dry, cold and no flavor :( * sweet & spicy Brussels - strong 8/9, they weren't spicy at all but the sauce was yummy! * drinks - GREAT! Strong 8/9 for both 1) cherry limeaid (no alcohol) 2) obsession (with alcohol) Great experience, Destiny was really great. She went over tonight's specials but we had already make up our minds on what we wanted, very kind and attentive lady.

Soft music and excellent service. The entire staff was so accommodating and the vibes were really good. The food was disheartening to say the least. While the short rib was cooked well the flavors were horrible. The food lacked seasoning and the purple sauce just wasn't it. The other patrons of my party didn't say anything about their food but no one finished and no one asked for a to go box. Also the food came out near room temperature... Parking was slightly difficult and in some lots you have to pay. There's nothing convincing me to come back.

Elevated dining (think linen tablecloths and chandeliers), I saw a lovely outdoor courtyard eating space but we ate lunch in their dining room. My friend and I split a number of their petite plates so we could try a lot of things! We got the croissant loaf with whipped fig butter (literally causing me to salivate thinking about it now), seafood dumplings , salt and pepper sea bass and crabcakes We decided to indulge with a couple delightful cocktails- I got the lychee G&T and my friend enjoyed the cucumber basil matinee. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend Pêche Modern Coastal!

Pour that on with the butter, now that's a good thought. They need something to make it stand out. I tried the shrimp and grits. First thing first, don't get this dish if you're really hungry. They bring it out in a really big bowl and it's just a little bit.. the chicken sausage is cut up whole like chopped hotdogs. It really looks lazy and unappealing. The flavor wasn't bad, not great, but not nasty. Nothing special at all. Now for the restaurant itself (decor), I liked it. I think it's a great setting for lunch indoors or outdoors. I'd try them again for dinner to see if it's better, but going back for brunch, not likely.

Our reservation was at 6:15 on a Friday night and it was not overly busy. The hostess started to seat us inside and I had to remind her I made a reservation for outside. We had to help her move tables around because they weren't ready to seat a party of 5 and a stroller. One of the tables was broken and my husband was the one to fix that problem. I had read many reviews that the service was slow so we were prepared for that and were not in a rush. The waitress was very sweet and she kept saying, "I'll have someone come clear your plates. Nobody ever wants to come outside." Well she was right about that, nobody ever came to clear plates. Every time she said that she left with open arms and could have taken the plates herself. After a really long time of dirty appetizer plates just sitting there we stacked the plates up and set them to the side. Then the same thing with the dinner plates. The appetizers were very good. We had the calamari and meats and cheeses. Our entrees were very good as well. The bill was over $400 and the service just needs to be better. Constantly had to ask for things like drink refills. Also there was a fan on the wall outside it would have helped tremendously with the bugs. Just needed to be on. I don't think we will be rushing to go back anytime soon.

She did like it, but wasn't enthused with the cavatini pasta, something she overlooked when ordering thinking that it was a fettuccine or pappardelle noodle. The server was great, welcoming each person as they arrived and taking drink and starter orders almost immediately. I had the nonalcoholic Just Peachy cocktail which was bright, fruity, and had a spiciness from the ginger beer. The table shared some appetizers: the white truffle garlic bread, the arancini, and the zucca chips were all tasty and the portions were large enough for sharing. For an entree I chose the trottole chicken pesto. It came in a bowl and it was a little too dark in the dining room to see the components. However the dish was delicious and I ate all of it. I especially liked the crunchy pine nuts among the soft pasta and the flavorful pesto. I didn't really detect any chicken although I'm sure it was there; it just wasn't noticeable in the taste. I was too stuffed to have dessert this time, but next time I visit I want to try the Hazelnut Torta or the Salted Caramel Budino. This was a nice place for a book club meeting. There was plenty of space and it was not loud, so we could talk easily.

Instead it was mostly kale, cabbage, and squash for $16. When I mentioned this to our server, Alyssa, she went to ask the chef, who initially lied he couldn't do anything because the plates are pre-portioned. From the open kitchen, I could see the chef shake his head "no" and scoop mostly fregola with a couple Brussel sprouts into a bowl. When I told the server about my gluten intolerance, she said I wouldn't have to pay for the additional fregola the chef gave us. I appreciated that gesture, but the chef's visible attitude through the open kitchen concept made the experience disappointing and exhausting. He seems lazy and easily irritable. The pasta was good however!

It's a classy and warmly-lit atmosphere with cushy, lush leather booths. Even though I'm a foodie to the core, my absolute favorite about the experience had to do with the drinks. I got a dirty martini (balanced, savory, and smooth) and I love the way they pour your martini at the table and allow you to have the excess from the shaker. The good times were definitely rolling from there! As far as food goes, I also loved the stuffed mushroom appetizer and my salad. The variety of salad accompaniments were awesome, and I wish more places offered grilled scallops with your salad. It was quite delicious and now I'm spoiled. Parking is easy to find; however, there aren't any parking spaces near the restaurant entrance. When we walked in, there were already a lot of customers inside, seated at their tables, and it was loud with conversations - lots of families with kids. After waiting a bit for a host to acknowledge us, we were led to a table in the same section as the low counter seats away from most of the other customers. J Christopher's always has seasonal entrees, but we weren't interested in those this time. I already came here knowing that I wanted to eat - a patty melt with fries. R had the spinach bacon skillet. Our server, although friendly, seemed a little preoccupied, concentrating more on what was going on in the kitchen rather than spending more time with us customers. It could've been that they didn't have enough employees available to cover everything in the kitchen. Anyhow, it was about a 20 minute wait for our food. R said that his skillet was good. It certainly looked good to me. The rye bread used in my sandwich was swirled in color. I know it was meant to be cool looking, but I thought the bread looked burnt when I first saw it. The flavor was ok, though. Nothing about this experience stood out or was really bad, so that's why I rated this OK.
