Very good place. Modeled after La Madeline, this place is much better. Went here for my second time last Sunday, 4/19. The place was very busy with the church crowd coming in. The dining room was nearly full and they had a line nearly out of the door. The staff was busy and frantic but working hard. We both ordered the Bon Apetit breakfast. We were expecting the food to take a long time considering how busy it was. Nope. The food came within 10 mins. The food was hot, the order was correct and the food tasted great. The waffles here are very good. The owners of this restaurant seem to know what they're doing. The staff seems friendly and the cooks are preparing the food right. I'm glad to see this place is busy. I just hope that they can continue being consistent with their good food and good service. That all starts with hiring good people and training them correctly. We've all seen bad restaurant employees and that can make or break a restaurant. I'll keep giving this place my business as long as they keep doing well. read more

The pastries here are to die for! I'm in here at least once a week for a delicious almond Croissant or a huge cheese and green onion hash brown. My whole family agrees these are the best croissants we've had since we visited Paris. I hope to see this place around for a long time. read more

Do whatever it takes to eat here! This place is delicious! If you live in the area there is no reason to go to La Madeleine for breakfast. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the staff is courteous. I had the Bon Appetite Breakfast with a croissant and found myself unable to cram the ridiculously good hash browns into my face fast enough. My over medium eggs were cooked with runny yolks and firm whites, a measure I often consider when eating out for breakfast. My girlfriend had the same meal but with a waffle. It was light, fluffy, and everything you would expect from a bakery. Do yourself a favor and give this place a chance! read more

on my trip with my family to houston we found this good lookin place to eat so we went to eat and we enter and the place is really nice and clean and also for the bathrooms. when you enter you grab a menu and you choose what you want to eat. also when you enter there are displays of foods you can order. our experience in this place was amazing since our hotel was near this restaurant we chose to go there.this was the fist restaurant that yelp recommended to us, course we dont care about the comments we look at the photos that they have in there page. They're staff is so friendly they deliver every item to your table in a very nice manner they even ask if you need anything else and if you are okay. since this was our first time they helped us pick up our great meals for us and they even helped a great meal for my daughter. let me tell you about the food, their waffles are the best , omelets are amazing and the croissants are so good!!!!!. since we got this great service and great food we still went the next day to get more breakfast !!!so we had breakfast two times in this place and we still had the friendly staff. i would definitely go back with my family and the friendly staff and enjoy their perfect meals for their guests!!. a big thanks to the staff they were just amazing! read more

I just left Bon Appétit & let me tell you I was not disappointed. I ordered the Bon Appétit breakfast which comes with your choice of croissant, waffle or pancake with eggs, sausage or bacon and the Bon Appétit hash browns. I agree with the other reviewers, the hash browns are AMAZING. The rest of the course was great as well. They offer a generous portion of eggs and 4 slices of bacon, which we all delicious & I'm very particular about my scrabbled eggs. Aside from the food the service was FAST & once we were done with a plate there was a friendly waiter there to pick it up. All in all, because of the great food, friendly service and location, Bon Appétit Cafe gets 5 stars from me. read more

Love, Love, LOVE this little gem! This is exactly what we needed (although I hope they find a new location that isn't quite so sketchy.) Great place for breakfast/brunch or just a cup of coffee and AMAZING almond croissants! It's the kind of spot you can go by yourself and not feel awkward, and it's not as commercial as La Madeleine. Let me just say- this place is amazing! We stumbled into here after leaving another restaurant for too long of a wait. We got the create your own omelette (delicious) and the Bon appetite breakfast which includes two eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and pancake or waffle. I switched out my waffle for French toast, and it came topped with fresh fruit and was DELICIOUS! The hash browns are to die for, the eggs are so savory and fresh tasting, and the coffee is nice and strong. This place has such a great feeling and very affordable. It's self serve style, but the staff is so friendly and still serve you and make sure you have everything you need. The owner was so nice and friendly towards us, and came and talked to us and gave us fresh chocolate covered strawberries after our conversation. Definitely coming back, and cannot wait to try the rest of the menu. (Even though I don't know how I'll be strong enough to venture away from the awesome food I had today) read more

Waffle was very good, eggs were under cooked and runny (ordered over medium). Coffee is terrible. I'd say the service is friendly but there isn't really service. You order, pour your own coffee from a thermos and get your own silverware. I'm very underwhelmed, the decor is weak at best, a very cold place (not in temperature just in feel) the only way I can describe it, is an old pool hall turned into a breakfast joint. It's also a Sunday and I'm about the only person here under 100, not that it's a negative but it's certainly not a college breakfast place. I'm only visiting but even if I were local I wouldn't be back. To end this positively the baked goods do look good, and my waffle was very good even just plain with syrup. read more

I will not go back to this place even if somebody treats me for a meal. Disorganized. I waited for my order and having seen same dish served to people who came a lot later than I did and having the waitresses pass by teasing you with the smell of food as they served the other customers. When I asked for a refund for not getting my food, the several staff that gathered behind the counter just started disappearing and the manager expressed an insincere apology like he is used to saying it a lot. read more

The waitresses were very helpful and kind. However, the food was cold. My wife had a fancy waffle while I had the baked chicken. Both dishes were room temp at best. Tho it was not busy, our food was obviously cooked ahead of time and left out waiting to be served. It tasted ok, but both dishes would have been better served hot. read more

This is one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. My husband's buttery chocolate croissant was sliced and stuffed with a mocha espresso butter. The coffee was rich and soothing. The hash browns were savory and cheese with a crunchy outside and a warm soft inside. The omelette was amazing, and the waffles were perfect. Highly recommend! This neighborhood café has only been open a couple of months but it has already built a loyal following with the locals. The food is unbelievable. Best croissant I have ever put in my mouth while the breakfast and lunch choices will keep you coming back time after time. Great coffee! Great pastries! And we took a huge salad (fantastic) home to share for dinner that same night. We are already planning our next visit and brought a menu home with us so we will be prepared. I plan to post a copy of the menu on a bulletin board outside my office so others can see what awaits them. Today my husband and I had the pleasure of dining for the first time at a lovely little French Cafe named Bon Appetit Cafe. Located directly across from the main entrance of the Space Center on Point Lookout Dr. is an adorable Cafe with delicious and reasonably priced food. We were surrounded by helpful staff and we were especially pleased with our server Miss Julia who recognized that this was our first visit and gave us a warm welcome and took the time to help us with menus selections and showed us the coffee serving area. We relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff wore adorable French hats and aprons and it truly was such a delightful visit. We felt like we were out of a page of French history with southern hospitality and charm included. We can't wait to tell our friends about this wonderful french Cafe. We will be back. read more

We had a group of us that went to this location for breakfast on 08/06/16 and it was my first time there. This is the type of place where you pick up menu when you walk in and place your order and your food is brought to your table when it ready. I did place my order with Jocelin when I had made a selection from the menu. Jocelin was nice and personable but for some reason she was distracted when I was placing my order and I had to repeat some things and confirm with her that she got what I ordered. Our meal was brought out by several people and it was served in an organized and efficient way I did find out later that the cashier had charged me for an extra hash browns that I did not order but someone at our table did eat them. I ordered the Bon Appetit breakfast which consisted of a Croissant, hash browns, bacon and I got egg whites. The entire meal was delicious and would order it again when I return. read more
