They did a good job and the dress was hung nicely in the bag to keep it from wrinkling before the actual wedding day. Drop off and pick up were easy. I am so glad I found this place. The owner is an absolute doll - very friendly, highly professional, and she reminds me of mom. I came in with a pile of alterations I had been putting off and was so pleased when I came back a few days later. The GAP men's sweater that had an enormous hole in the armpit was as good as new, and the repair cost only $3.50, holy moses. My favorite jean capris that had thinned on the inside of both legs were repaired with denim patches affixed on the inside and honestly - I thought there was no hope for these guys. I am not the sort of person who gets things dry-cleaned.... and I probably would only use a service like this maybe once a year if I'm lucky. So, recently I was in need of a cleaner which was in reasonable proximity to my house. Based on other yelp reviews I chose this this place. I dropped off about 8 shirts on a Saturday... they told me they would be ready by Wednesday. I asked if there was any way I could get them by Tuesday since I was going out of town and they agreed. Tuesday rolls around and I arrive to pick up my clothes.... everything looks great. For me the primary issue is things getting severely wrinkled, especially in the collars. Everything was nicely pressed and clean. Total cost was 11 bucks. I don't have much experience with other cleaners, but next time I need something like this done again I will come back here. read more

Wow...a truly AWESOME job! I have taken clothes to dry cleaners before and had those cleaners fail to remove very obvious stains (which I was later able to remove myself with a little water and a clean cloth...thanks for nothing, guys!)...so when I brought two silk blouses, a delicate wool sweater, and a rayon dress in to Bon Ton Cleaners and found myself super-efficiently shooed back out the door before I could even point out where the subtle stains were, I felt sure I would pick up my clothes a week later with the stains still present. Not the case! I just thoroughly inspected all four items, and they are flawlessly cleaned. The tiny red-sauce pinprick stains on my light blue silk blouse are gone as if they were never there! The subtle sweat marks in the armpits of the other silk blouse have vanished! The weird crustiness stuck to my super-delicate pointelle wool sweater is gone! They did a great great job on a suit and shirts, and it cost just over $20! And the same pleasant customer service at drop off and pick up! I don't know what environmentally friendly dry cleaning actually is, but I'm glad that they do it. Got my IKEA sofa slipcover washed and pressed for $25. It looks brand new! I'm amazed since there were some major stains and it looks flawless. The alterations are cheap and not in quality. They did a great job on a pair of jeans I needed to be hemmed as well. No complaints on the dry cleaning either, and they don't try to rip you off. So it's not the most glamorous dry cleaners but who cares! The ladies that are working there are really sweet, and try to accommodate with your schedule if you need something sooner. I've been taking my bath rugs to get washed there too. $2 per square foot. A lot of the bulky cotton stuff that gets eat up in my washer they can take care of. read more

I attended a wedding with an outdoor reception around some picnic tables. Some genius thought it would be a good idea to give the tables a new coat of white paint the day before the wedding and then to wrap the benches in plastic wrap. Unfortunately, we didn't know about the paint job until my suit jacket and pants had paint all over them. My schedule's pretty busy so I didn't have time to take the suit to the cleaners until about a week later. The cleaners I tried got most of the paint off, but said they couldn't get all the paint out. Unfortunately, some of the stains were pretty conspicuous. I was pretty upset and disappointed because now one of my favorite suits was damaged because some person thought saran wrap was a better idea than wet paint signs. A few months later, I took the suit back in for a second clean. With wishful thinking, I pointed out the paint stains, but still the paint couldn't be removed with the cleaning. At that point I gave up and decided that all I could do was pretend the stains weren't there and continue to wear the suit and get it cleaned whenever it was needed. At least if anyone asked about the stains, I had a story to tell. Months later, I dropped the suit off at Bon Ton Cleaners while I was visiting Seattle. When I got my suit back from Sue at Bon Ton, all the paint was gone! I told her about the previous cleaning jobs and she was honestly surprised that they couldn't get the paint out. Not only was the stain gone, but my suit looked great overall! They cost a little more than the other place I went to, but they're obviously good at what they do so I have no problems with that. read more

Great location and good reviews on both Google and Yelp. I took our wedding attire here which had been pretty dirtied from a post-wedding adventure photo shoot on the big island of Hawaii. When I picked everything up it was spotless. For two pairs of linen pants, a linen shirt and my dress (simple floor length slip dress made of viscose with an under skirt layer) it was $95. My dress was the most expensive ($43 for the dress and $18 for the underskirt) but if you mention that you found them on yelp they are offering 10%off. read more

Arrived a little after 8:30 to try to get my wedding dress cleaned and pressed. They had supposedly opened at 7:00 and there were at least two men working there. But since the main lady wasn't there, I couldn't get a quote or leave my dress. This wasn't a great first impression, but the lady was there when I went back later. She ended up giving me an amazing quote - a third of the price I'd been given other places. She called back a couple of days later to let me know that she needed permission to use another method to get out a tough stain. But she was going to charge me the same price she gave me originally, and it would still be ready when she first promised. I won't see her final work for a few more days, but I'm really impressed so far! read more

I am so impressed by this Cleaners. I have a wool blend coat with artificial leather accents and trim that smelled horrible after I wore it to my aunt's house which smells like an ashtray (ugh so gross and stinky!). It is my favorite coat. I tried my usual cleaners & they said no way, that the fake leather would be too hard to clean & bleed all over the coat. I went on Yelp saw all the positive reviews and I went and tried this place. Bon Ton Cleaners was upfront & honest that they'd do their best and couldn't 100% say the fake leather wouldn't bleed. She seemed confident and I nervously left it there. I picked it up today and it looks brand new and has no smell!! I am so happy I will continue to use this cleaners. I come here for dry cleaning services all of the time and they do a great job. Recently I needed to have a few alterations done with some of my favorite garments and brought them to Bon Ton. They did an incredible job with replacing the zipper on my jacket and hemming a pair a very wide rim pants. The stitching was very professional looking and sturdy. I was referred here by a friend who gets her clothing cleaned here. First of all, they are located pretty close to where I live near crown hill. I dropped off a suit here on a thursday intending to have it cleaned for a wedding by saturday morning. The lady there told me I could pick it up monday afternoon. I told her I needed it for a wedding saturday evening..she told me to come pick up the suit the next day (friday) at 4pm! Talk about amazing!! 20 minutes later, I got a phonecall saying the fly on my fiancee's pants was broken and she was going to repair it! When we picked up the suit on friday, not only was it clean with a repaired zipper, but it was only $15 because we were first time customers. We will definitely be back! They also do alterations and it looks like a lot of customers take their bridal gowns there as well. read more

I have to agree with a lot of these positivie reviews. We have been living here for 5 years, and it wasn't until after the first year that we discovered Bon Ton Cleaners. Our clothes always perfectly clean and pressed when we pick them up, and I think that's what anyone expects from their dry cleaner. What differentiates Bon Ton from other dry cleaners is the owners/employees. Our clothes are always ready when they say they will be, and they will expedite to accommodate our schedule. I took my wedding dress here to be dry cleaned and Bon Ton did a great job. I took it to a nearby bridal store for consignment and they accepted it with no issues. It was clean and they were thorough in assessing any damage. They were also done days sooner than they said they would be. They are really reliable and really nice. You don't need an appointment to take your dress in, unlike some other dry cleaners, which I find ridiculous. Obviously the price will vary on your dress. Mine has a lot of layers in the skirt. Total it was $275, which really is pretty in line with what other reputable places charge for cleaning wedding dresses. Getting your dress cleaned is just not cheap and that's just a cost you need to eat when you have a wedding, so don't write this place off because of price. You do need to pay a 50% deposit when you drop off your dress, so be aware. They do take credit cards and they have room for like 2 cars to park in their tiny parking lot. read more

Gave them a dress and a white blazer w/ stains, and I pointed out the stains. When I picked the items up, I asked if the stains had come out. The clerk told me he didn't know. I checked and saw that they had not. I wish they had acknowledged upfront that they were not able to get the stains out. It made me wonder if they had even tried to get them out. I have not taken my dry cleaning there, but they have altered a number of garments for me and they are always done on time or ready even earlier than expected. I recently had a pair of jeans hemmed because I am a super shrimp and everything is always long on me. They rocked it with hemming the jeans, so I changed into them in their dressing room. Don't understand the high rating for this place, particularly the alterations. There's a sign outside the building that shouts "Drapery cleaning, 30% off" so I thought that they would do a good job with my new curtains. I needed to get two pairs of curtains hemmed by a good 10" (damn IKEA curtains). The hemming costs more than the curtains - $87.60 for hemming two pairs of curtains. I mean seriously... And so you would think that for that price, God must have had his hand on the sewing machine - I specifically said 81" for both sets of curtains - one came back at 78" and the other came back at 84". I mean seriously... I don't know if I should laugh, cry, throw a hissyfit or just burn those curtains because I might need them to sleep in when I file for bankcruptcy. That said, 3 stars because they do in-house alterations and because they seem really nice. read more

Staff was fairly friendly. The lady at the desk argued with me about whether a shirt needed to be dry cleaned or not, but other then that I had no problems. They are on the pricey side, and with so many dry cleaners to choose from, I don't know if I will go back. I've had a 2-year great run with Bon Ton, which for me is a long-term relationship with a dry cleaner. I've found the prices fair, the staff friendly & the turnaround great. They have Same Day Service if you have your gear in by 10 AM - - due to my own poor planning I've had to use this service a couple times, with great results. They have yet to commit any of the normal divorce-worthy sins such as shrinking, fading, or lying about the shrinking & fading (shame shame!). Staff is great about the occasional button-restitch, seam reinforce, minor alterations. I've gotten some serious mystery funk on a number of silk & delicate garments, & they've done wonders with de-funking. Super easy in-&-out parking is a major plus. I have not tried Bon Ton for Major alterations so I can't comment, yet for dry-cleaning I highly recommend them. read more

I brought in two new pairs of Levi's 516 jeans to be tapered below the knee. The staff were very helpful and were able to determine the appropriate amount of taper based on their measurements and another, older pair of jeans I brought with me. I received the jeans back in a few days and they were altered just the way I wanted. I would definitely come here again for alterations in the future. read more

Unhappy, first-time customer. Brought in a jacket to have the sleeves altered. Instead of a friendly greeting, I was ignored by the only person in the store who was playing on her phone - I had to say hi after a moment of silence. I requested to maintain the 4 buttons on the sleeve. When I got it back (same unfriendly greeting by another person), they decided that three was best for me, no phone call. Plus the sleeves were all curled at the ends, I asked if they pressed it, they said that would be an extra $14. Very poor experience. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND BON TON. They are not qualified tailors. I recently dropped curtains off to be hemmed. Cut straight across the bottom at the pin (measured and pinned them myself). They were supposed to be ready on Thursday. I went in to pick them up on Thursday afternoon and they were had not been started. They assured me the curtains would be ready the next day so I returned Friday and picked them up. Once they were up on the rod, I noticed that they looked off-- one side was significantly shorter than the other. I took them down, returned to Bon Ton and asked for my money back. They refused to refund my money and told me that it was my fault because I was the person who had pinned the curtain (on only one side mind you, and only to mark the desired length). They did not take responsibility for their error and they did not refund my money. I'm just out 60 bucks. read more
