    $1 wings

My Brazilian in-laws love fried chicken so I felt obligated to show them what Bonchon is all about. We pulled up for their happy hour special with one dollar wings and a very cheap lychee soju Martini and Japanese beer. I know it was happy, but I didn't think prices like that existed anymore, even for Monday night wings. I'd say the soy garlic was our favorite sauce, but you know with Korean fried chicken the focus is really on that crunch! That almost fish and chips like texture with the umami touch and a hint of sweetness... needless to say they were all very impressed and we had to order second rounds. The pork belly valve one was also a great price for a great size. This was nothing but value.

I love this place. It's my go to spot for Korean Fried Chicken. Alot of folks would say there's better Korean fried chicken places around but to me, this place is it. The food is good and they have a variety of dishes besides just fried chicken. I normally go for the spicy but you can get half and half or just soy garlic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a nice ambiance for seating indoor and there's plenty of seating and bar seats as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service is great! Food comes out in a relatively quick manner even when there are many to go orders.

I live nearby and have been meaning to check out Bonchon for a while! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very relaxed dining with a QR code with the menu and you place your food order online.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm honestly not sure why they can't have the staff come to your table for your order, but the staff were all very friendly. I ordered the chicken Katsu, which I thought was really delicious but could've come with another side besides coleslaw. Thought that was kind of a strange side option. But the chicken was perfectly crispy! We weren't as impressed by the chicken fried rice, the chicken wasn't as flavorful and more of a rubbery texture. I think the cucumber on the side was a little odd too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But overall we had a good experience and it's very clean inside, I'll likely return when it's warmer out and I can sit outside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is never really busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the food is good. Highly recommend the bulgogi fries and their bao buns. I also tried the Korean corn and it was yummy but very cheesy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great place to pick up food from or eat inside but be prepared for it to be kinda empty[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Not the best but not bad. Certainly not authentic. If you go, there's a free parking garage right behind the restaurant which helps. Staff are friendly and wait time for food is minimal. You'll most likely order and pay from your phone, although I prefer actual menus. Prices are a little more than I care for but somewhat reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting is fair. Clean tables and comfortable seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I opted for a fusion dish, the bulgogi fries. Size was appropriate and flavors were decent. My wife had the japchae. Again, food is not very authentic but fair.

Bonchon has completely redefined what it means to dine out! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with an innovative, streamlined ordering system that makes everything quick, easy, and surprisingly fun. No waiting around--just tap, order, and relax while the magic happens. Now the food... absolutely next level. Every bite bursts with authentic Korean flavor--from their signature double-fried chicken to the perfectly seasoned sides. You can taste the freshness and love in every dish. But whatever you do, don't skip dessert. Their freshly baked Korean donuts are hands down the best way to end a meal--crispy on the outside, warm and pillowy on the inside, with a sweet finish that dreams are made of. Run, don't walk. Bonchon is the real deal!

    Very dry chicken

Very disappointed in the service for pick up order and the quality of the chicken. Went to go pick up an online order and the staff was rude and slow. One of the workers told me to go to the right to pick up the order, but no one was there, no cashier, no pick up person. Got 8 pieces of chicken strips half soy garlic and half Korean bbq. The chicken was very very dry as if it had been fried already and they just packed it into the take out box. Usually Bonchon chicken takes much longer for their order to be fried. Something seems off that the order was ready in 15 minutes. It was pretty dark inside. As a Korean fried chicken chain, this was a major let down. Paid $17.11 for 8 piece strips for reference. There are street parking spots outside.

There is indoor and outdoor seating and you can easily get a seat. Staff is very friendly and there is a parking lot that is free with lots of parking. Korean fried chicken - half spicy and half soy garlic: there is nothing better than the crunch that comes with their fried chicken. Each piece has a lot of flavor and both are delicious. The spicy is spicy, so beware when ordering if you don't like the spice. Chicken katsu- good but not great. Comes on top of rice.

Stopped in here after an evening performance at Twilight Tattoo. We were seated and visited promptly and placed an order for the garlic fried chicken, bulgogi fries and I think a side of Mac and cheese. The fries were hot and bulgogi was seasoned well and complimented the textures on the plate. The garlic fried chicken was slightly over cooked but still tasty with a nice balance of crunchy batter and tender meat. The Mac and cheese was a creamy blend of spice and cheese. Bonchon is a good go to for an easy and quick meal.

This place was definitely a hip place to eat at. When we came the traffic was slow but the service was impeccable. I loved how 90% of the restaurant was surrounded by windows so you could see out as yiu ate and all the natural light. I ordered the chicken katsu which was absolutely amazing with this tangy Zang sauce to dip it in. It also came w a side I chose kimchi coleslaw which was spicy and delicious. My husband got bugolgi fried rice and the flavors were to die for. My girls got wings. One got the spicy one which is HOOOOT!!! and then the soy garlic flavor wings was to die for. A little bit of both world's of the garlic and soy was in there and the wings was sooooo crunchy!! Over all amazing experience! Wish we had one in daytona!

Kanpai is in a prime place along Rockville Pike, but depending on when you go you may find easy parking. (If you're not bothered about where to park, ignore what I just said.) Out front there's something that looks like a tuk-tuk or rickshaw. Tbh, don't know if it's theirs or the business next door. The restaurant itself is clean and elegant. Also, not as loud as some Korean BBQs (thinking of KPOT off of Randolph Rd), which is important if you don't like being overwhelmed by everyone else's noise. That is one big '+' in Kanpai's favor. The waiter was cool and very helpful. Because of him I now know what the thin meat slices are meant for (which is for the soup), before then I had no clue. The food itself is good. Like, why wouldn't it be? I actually prefer the shabu-shabu (soup), makes me wish I knew how to do that myself so I wouldn't have to go out as much. Yes, the grill meats were great, as was the kimchi. These places are not cheap, but it was enjoyable while I was there. If you're not in a rush you can go a few doors down afterward to an import store selling everything from K-chips to puzzle-kits. So I would say...take your time. But don't warm your seats for more than 90 minutes, as Korean BBQs tend to kick people out (nicely, nicely) if one overstays. P.S. I'm sure they have some great drinks there, but even if I wanted to I couldn't loiter. That's what Bethesda is for. (Or at least how it used to be.)

Located in the busy Clarendon area of downtown Arlington this spot is quaint, cute and gets quite busy. I started with the Chilli Hoisin Duck Bao Bun which was hot, fluffy and savory. Their motto is " from bowl to soul" and this is hands down the BEST Ramen I've ever had. The Spicy Pork Szechuan ramen had so much flavor and definitely warmed my soul! The Spicy chicken broth along with the szechuan ground pork makes the dish, and the broth was rich & savory. The pork flavor was strong and the teriyaki took it up a notch. Mmmm mmm good. The ramen is very hearty but you can't stop eating it. Oh yeah the Banana Katsu with salted caramel ice cream is a great dessert to close out this meal. One of these days I will definitely try another dish but for now if it ain't broke I don't plan on fixing it!

I would ask for a booth/regular seating if you don't want to sit on the high top stools. I tried the mushroom and eggplant bao for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. My only note is that I would prefer more curry sauce for a more even sauce to rice ratio.

Always appreciate the minimalist yet still eloquently-decorated aesthetic of the restaurants, complete with a window to view the kitchen, which itself seemed relatively clean and well-kempt.
