I have eaten at this location a few times now with carryout and dine in and have never had a problem with my order or service. I find the food to be on par with the other locations I have eaten in in Centerville, Manassas, and Fredericksburg. The spicy wings are my go to and I do enjoy them, but I have also had the Bulgogi and Bull Dak are also good. They are limited to seating in the location as there are only about four tables and the bar area to sit to eat or drink, they do have 4 beers on tap and liquor also. The only complaint I really have is the cost of their wings as they are seriously outrageous a 16 pc wing for $27.95 is roughly $1.75 per wing. The prices for the other foods are on par for other Korean restaurants I have been in but the cost of their wings is laughable. read more

The dryness is particularly impressive since Bonchon typically adds a ton of sauce to their chicken, but here they went with a, let's call it, conservative sauce approach. When I asked for more sauce to help ameliorate the barren strips in front of us they said they could not give us any... Also (and this is a small thing) the floor was very sticky, which in hindsight, seems impressive given the lack of sauce on the food. Just visited Bonchon for the first time ever - ordered the small order of boneless wings with the soy-garlic coating - and a large order of the spicy strips, plus an order of pork buns - to go. Nearly identical to Olives in Haymarket but 2x as expensive, so -1 star Seasoned fries - 2/5 Cheese has no flavor and only serves to soggy the fries. Not good. Coleslaw - 3/5 Fresh and clean flavor. We are bonchon fans but got takeout yesterday and we were super disappointed. We ordered online for 12:35pm pick up It wasn't ready until 12:45 And then the product was totally disappointing. Have they changed to a frozen chicken product? Normally I go to bonchon in Manassas since we have a large family and order bigger orders but we tried the Gainesville location for a second time hoping it was better than the first time. Don't waste your time or money here, the Manassas location is 10 times better. The Gainesville location charges the same for all these items but gives you a much smaller portion: fries, coleslaw, kimchi, and they also have much smaller and thinner "chicken strips" compared the the thicker and fuller strips at the Manassas location. All in all just go to the Manassas location and skip out on the Gainesville location as a whole. You'll thank me later. read more

Like everyone else... The portions here don't compare to Manassas. When you pay $11.95 for fried rice and an extra $2.00 for Bulgogi, you would think you would get enough food to feed 2 people. But we had two orders of white rice. Each order ended up being $3 each for a total of $6. That was a LOT more expensive than I thought it would be. But I guess it was my fault for not asking. Used to be good. Called because we got chicken tenders instead of their normal strips. They were just small breaded tenders that were not very seasoned...nothing like what they used to be, definitely not caramelized or super flavorful. We asked and were told that they now get the strips pre-made from a vendor. They are a joke really, this place is not cheap for what it is.
