    8 pc Wings Spicy

Called in a to-go order here on a Saturday afternoon. The staff member in the phone was super friendly and efficient with taking the order quoting of 5-10 minutes for the order to be ready. Got to the restaurant and it was indeed completed within time quoted, as well as accurate order. Friendly service and the food was perfect!

I've come here a few times and it never disappoints. The food is always served to the right temp and spice level. The staff comes by and checks on me to see if I'm enjoying everything so the service for a fast casual is better than is required.

Sad chicken sandwich over $10 with sparse fries, is not worth it. More bun than dry chicken patty. Why people are skimping on the slaw??? Hopefully the air gets fixed. $10 for potstickers??? Pass

I have eaten at this location a few times now with carryout and dine in and have never had a problem with my order or service. I find the food to be on par with the other locations I have eaten in in Centerville, Manassas, and Fredericksburg. The spicy wings are my go to and I do enjoy them, but I have also had the Bulgogi and Bull Dak are also good. They are limited to seating in the location as there are only about four tables and the bar area to sit to eat or drink, they do have 4 beers on tap and liquor also. The only complaint I really have is the cost of their wings as they are seriously outrageous a 16 pc wing for $27.95 is roughly $1.75 per wing. The prices for the other foods are on par for other Korean restaurants I have been in but the cost of their wings is laughable.

Chicken 8 Pc Strips (1 piece)

I typically like Bonchon but not this restaurant. The chicken strips we got were small, dry. The dryness is particularly impressive since Bonchon typically adds a ton of sauce to their chicken, but here they went with a, let's call it, conservative sauce approach. When I asked for more sauce to help ameliorate the barren strips in front of us they said they could not give us any... Also (and this is a small thing) the floor was very sticky, which in hindsight, seems impressive given the lack of sauce on the food. On a positive note the food came out quickly and the staff seemed friendly all be it a little disengaged.

My friend who grew up in Northern VA raves about HawaU as his favorite Hawaiian spot. To be fair,…read morethere aren't many options, so there's not really any competition. I added this casual spot to my list a couple months ago, but didn't have concrete plans to check it out. Driving to Manassas and back on I-66 from where I live would cost half of my brain cells and all my patience. However, a few friends and I drove out to Shenandoah this past Friday evening, and I made a convincing argument that HawaU would be on the way. By the time we arrived, we were all incredibly hungry and ready to wolf down anything edible. The ordering process was easy: we ordered and paid at the counter, grabbed a seat at one of the few tables, and waited ~10-15 minutes for the food (parts of it are made to order). LOCO MOCO (BOWL) - 9.99 The chipotle-sized bowl was topped with loco moco: white rice base topped with hamburger patty, fried egg, grilled pineapple slice, and a generous pour of beef & mushroom gravy, plus sides of fresh cabbage salad and mac salad. The gravy nostalgically reminded me of the ones I'd get from cafeteria-style school lunches -- thick, salty, slightly starchy, yet oddly comforting. The egg, hamburger patty, and rice were pretty standard, but the familiarity of the gravy tied the whole dish together nicely. Both salads were good -- the cabbage was more light and refreshing, while the mac salad felt a bit heavy after all the loco moco. Since it's my first time eating loco moco, I can't say how it compares to others. However, I found HawaU's incredibly comforting and hearty. It really hit the spot for me, and I ate the whole bowl within 10 minutes. The loco moco is definitely their signature option and a must try. My friends who got the spicy pork bowl and udon thought both were just OK and not special.

I told myself the next time I visit I'll try something different. I also really appreciate that they take phone orders, it makes my life easier since I have a limited time frame for lunch. By the time I get there my food is ready.
