    Truffle fries.... This was $10.....

Paid $10 for what felt like a handful of fries. Smelled like truffle oil heaven, but the portion size was laughable. The flavor was decent, but for that price, I expected more than a small paper cup's worth. Bottom line: Great aroma, underwhelming portion, not worth the splurge.

I was served raw chicken, i ordered from door dash. I use to love this place back when they first opened. but it has become a bit pricey. I ate 4 chickens before realizing that it tasted funny and started picking at some of them and realized it was raw & undercooked!

Been here several times since they first opened in Lowell. A dimly lit place with a bar to watch sports, and several booths and tables to accompany parties or dates. When it comes to crispy and spicy fried chicken, this is the spot to go. Granted they had their years when the spice was not up to par, but lately everything is starting to taste really well, just like during their grand opening. The chicken is so crispy, yet so juicy, and the spicy is spicing. I wasn't a fan of their fried rice before, but it was bussing that night. It's not like Chinese fried rice where the grains don't stick to each other, but like most Korean rice dishes, the rice is moist and mushy and just exerts flavor better. The takoyaki is my favorite! The sauce is zesty and sweet, mixed with the soft and oozy texture of the takoyaki balls, and octopus legs is just perfection. I like that our waitress didn't check up on us every 5 mins, so we were able to gobble up food and converse with each other for an ample amount of time. She has a good sense of when we're almost finished eating. Overall, it's nice to have Bonchon nearby.

I never heard of this chain before, on a recent trip to the area I passed this place on the way in and picked it as my dinner joint after a Yelp search. It's fun food and wow the portions are generous. Delicious fresh and creative is a good way to describe Bonchon. I will definitely hit one any opportunity I can. This particular joint had a wonderful friendly staff, the place itself is a neat location and they even have a bar. Nothing goes better with spicy crispy loaded fries like a cold beer. Enjoy!!!

I loveee their pork belly buns! It comes with 3 per order and I am just in love!! The meat is so juicy and soft and the cole slaw mixture they put inside it goes perfectly together. Definitely my favorite place for pork belly buns! The Korean fried chicken with soy garlic flavor were so juicy and crispy. They were drumsticks and they were big! I liked how the skin stayed on with the drum stick and didn't fall apart after one bite. Definitely my favorite 2 items from here!

Love bon chon it never disappoints. We got the spicy chicken which had a perfect balance of flavor and the chicken was nice and crispy but then coating. The fried rice was flavorful. But the tacos... those are THE BEST. The spicy chicken mixed with the slaw was a perfect combo. Shrimp shumai was like any other nothing special. The drinks ehre are also delicious and strong.

Love the wings and the convenience of not having to go to Cambridge to order. This place is not as good as Cambridge and former Brighton (closed) location. Seems like they don't make their fried chicken as Cambridge locations. I still enjoy it but I know I'm missing out on the "real" bon chon ck wings. I don't bother ordering anything else. My husband and sister usually gets the tteok-bokki.

We mainly come to Bonchon Lowell for the Salmon Avocado ball. We've never seen this item on other bonchon locations' menus before and it is definitely a great item. It's crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The sauces they used had a lot of great umami flavor. Another dish we tried was the bulgogi friend rice where the meat was chopped up into small pieces which allowed the bulgogi flavor to be in every bite we had. It was a different way of making fried rice and we enjoyed it, not to mention the portion was very big. The wings were pretty decent but I have seen better wings in other locations/chains. The only dish we didn't like as much was the ttekbokki, it was pretty spicy but the sauce seemed more watery than I've had at other places and didn't stick to the rice cakes as much. The salmon avocado ball is what we came back for but it is pretty pricey for an appetizer. Overall the service was good, our waitress was very nice and it wasn't as busy when we visited so it wasn't too loud.

They offer platters, salads, gyros, cheese steak subs, burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, chicken nuggets & wings, baklava, and drinks in the cooler. The pricing seems fair. On my way back home, I stopped by Shah's Halal Food Lowell for takeout. I placed my online pickup order through DoorDash since I had credits. I ordered the Beef Chapli & Chips Platter ($11.99 plus tax) and Assorted Baklava ($3.49 plus tax). My online order was all set to go in about 13 minutes. The platter had soft seasoned ground beef kabobs, thin pakora chips, served over soft basmati rice and a mix green salad with creamy white sauce plus the optional hot sauces too. The platter had good savory and spicy flavors. The prepackaged assorted baklava was a good sweet treat for the after meal. I would definitely stop by again for more Halal takeout. I can already sense that Shah's could be expanding into NH, since the demand for Halal food is there. This Lowell branch is about 10 minutes to NH on Mammoth Road.

Usually get a couple of orders of wings and an order of the kimchi fried rice. Always good food, decent service. Our most recent visit was horrible. We had a gap between this most recent visit, and our previous visit, probably close to six months (I'm guessing October of 2025 was our previous visit). We went in not that long ago, within the last month or so. Dine in. I am pretty sure the business has new owners, at least the kitchen and wait staff were all different from our previous visits. We were the only people sitting in the restaurant. Other than a handful of Doordash orders, not a lot going on here. Service staff basically ignored us. Too busy looking at their phone. Chicken was dry, chewy. Kimchi fried rice was dry (how do you even pull that off??). After we were finished eating (ate maybe a 1/4 of the food) we sat there for like 25 minutes staring at our plates with the wait staff sitting on a table like maybe 15-20 feet away from us staring at their phone. I had to get up and walk over to ask for the check. So, in summary, food was bad, service was worse and to be honest, food was way over priced. We're never coming back to this place. Unfortunate too, used to be good and there are not a ton of options for Korean fried chicken in the Lowell area. You're better off at Bon Chon (well, unless they took a nose dive since our last visit too...).

Not many places do! Fries: perfectly crunchy. Not soft and soggy like most places. Maybe a little less seasoning. I know not a lot of people like spicy foods. But I enjoy it. Chicken Kabob Plate: my boyfriend and I split this because of how big it was. We ordered it with extra rice instead of the usual side of salad it comes with. The owner offered us either Indian or Spanish rice. We went with the Spanish and it tasted great, it even had vegetables in it. The chicken was nice and juicy with grilled peppers and onions. The rice and chicken had a nice kick to it. Not too spicy and just flavor. Chicken and Fries (not pictured): My boyfriend devoured this. The chicken is definitely not anything like crown fried or Jacqueline's chicken. The owner literally uses his own recipe. My boyfriend loved it and the chicken looked really fresh and juicy. He swallowed the thing before I even got a chance to take a picture of it lol. Please go visit guys! This little place has so much potential. As this is Latinx heritage month, seems like a perfect time to finally check them out. This is a tiny little store front. Most of the building is taken up by kitchen and storage. There are 2 two-tops and 1 four-top table for dining-in. Tables are very nice and the area was clean. An open kitchen over looks the dining area. A cashier stand, where you order, is to the left of the entrance. Menu boards are located on the wall above the open kitchen. A cooler across from the cashier holds bottled soda, water and tea. The cashier was super personable and answered a couple of silly questions from me. (I always have questions. So many questions!) I had to try the empanadas of course and they offer several varieties. My SO got himself a pepperoni pizza. We both grabbed bottled soda. We had an opportunity to chat a little with the cook too who is also very nice. A parton who is clearly known to the staff came in and had a long, friendly chat with staff while we ate. Just before we left some high school students came in. This is absolutely a neighborhood spot. The pastry on my empanada is very good. Flakey, thin, holds together well. I would have preferred less pastry for the amount of filling. Most bites were air. The ground beef was seasoned well enough but I think I was looking for more spice and maybe a little heat. Still, it was enjoyable. The vegetable empanada was bell peppers, onions and mushrooms with a little bit of cheese. Same result. I was looking for more filling, spice and heat. Don't get me wrong. They are good. I did enjoy them. And for all I know, this is the way abuela makes them. Everyone has their own preferences. This is just me. Take it as you will. My SO enjoyed his pizza. That's all I got from him. Sorry I can't elaborate. This is a small store front right off a neighborhood. On street parking is free. You may have to walk a bit from your parking spot, but as mentioned, this is really a neighborhood spot the locals frequent. There does not appear to be a public restroom inside. I didn't ask. Staff were lovely. Food is good.
