Saturday 1:44pm 3/8/25 I needed some wings in my life today. Decided on Bonchon because of their flavorful soy garlic wings. I also ordered rice and kimchi. I've eaten here at the Bell Creek location many times but this is the first time I actually dined in . I usually take it home. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the wait by the window and it was pretty busy so I decided to ask about seating. When he said there was only two people working I decided to place a to go order, but he said he could get a table cleaned off for me and did so immediately . So I stayed. He was very nice and accommodating. Much appreciated. In the dining room picture you see a lot of seating but it says there's only two people working. They have to limit the very understandable. Serving of rice and kimchi seems to be bigger when you dine and then when you get it to go, so that's good to know. Everything is delicious as usual. A family friendly or nice meal with your boo. I think the food here is delicious. I typically get the wings and drums in the soy garlic sauce. The service isn't bad but it's slow. Don't come here in a hurry. One thing that I can't stand is that every time I come here or even just drive by, there's door dashers or take out orders parked in front of the business like the fire lane doesn't apply to them. I'm not a firefighter but these cars are in the way when you drive or walk into the store. read more

I went to grab something after church on Good Friday, and decided on Bonchon. It was a little busy and they were very short staffed. I could only imagine how stressed my waitress was. She was absolute grace under pressure. She was amazing!! I got fried rice with teriyaki chicken and it was delicious. I truly miss the mochidoki ice cream they use to have. Bring it back!!!! Let me say first -- my wife and daughter LOVE this place. L-O-V-E. Me, I am not a huge fan. It's fine. This trip was my first to this location (have been to others multiple times) and the food is exactly what I have come to expect. Wings are crispy and have a decent flavor. I will not judge them against other non-Korean wings, so for Korean fried wings I'd say these are 4 stars. Dumplings are salty but well cooked. 3 stars at best. Bibimbap was fishy and bitter tasting, not enjoyable at all. 1.5 stars. Seasoned fries were good, overseasoned but I am told this is how they come here. So three stars. Korean tacos were forgettable. Services was absolutely 5 star. The building was very cold to the point of being uncomfortable. I went because the family really wanted this. And I went with reasonable hopes of a good meal. Food was good. Got the soy garlic boneless lunch combo with french fries. Service was very good and our waitress was very nice. My order seemed fresh & still warm when it got to me. First time trying the sweet crunch wings and they're so good! Much crunchier than the regular wings, but not spicy. Everyone has always recommended them to me but I've just never gone. I'm so glad I tried them because they were delicious! The soy garlic wings came recommended by everyone and they did not disappoint. The boneless wings were so moist and had the perfect amount of breading to chicken. I upgraded the side to the seasoned fries. They arrived in a bag with a lot of seasoning. I shook it up to mix everything up evenly. They were really good and it wasn't too much on there even though it looked like a lot. I also added on the takoyaki. They're these dough ball octopus dumplings with two different sauces. They were really interesting and good. Everything was prepared really quickly which allowed them to be delivered very quickly. I was really impressed. I've never been inside so I don't know how the restaurant looks or is. When I reheated the food the next day, it was just as deliciius. I'd definitely come back soon. That friggin chicken is the Devil. I'm so stuffed I'm in pain. I purchased, the 10 piece Korean wings, 5 garlic and 5 spicy. I really dislike drumsticks, but I realized today that Damn they're good, or it might just be Bonchon. I have not eaten from Bonchon in a minute, and especially after they closed the location closest to me. I had some Korean food not long ago, and It left me blehhh. It might be these wings that made me a drumette believer. The flat pieces were flavorful and spicy as all heck, but a little on the dry side. The drumetts we're juicy and the spice was just right. I'm laying in bed stuffed, and thinking about my next bite. I was going to remove a star because dude forgot my dipping sauce, and the flat pieces were a little dry. Prices have continued to go up at this location but rice and ranch is no longer included, even with the price increases its now additional $.... Price gouging at its finest. Went here today with my daughter and youngest son. They both had wings and drums, spicy, and really enjoyed them. We shared the popcorn shrimp appetizer and all agreed it was tasty. I had the Bibimbap with soy garlic chicken and thought it was tasty, but the chicken was a little dry. I love the bowl it comes in, keeps the food hot forever! Maybe that effects the chicken? This was a pick up by me. The BonChon website needs some tweaking, because it lost my items in cart about 4 different times in the process of checking out. The most frustrating over complicated Food Website I've encountered. I imagine less determined customers like myself, just went on to Italian food or some other take out site. The food was hot , but I wasn't able to add the complimentary sauces (2) and when I asked about putting in the Ranch dressings the Manager said the dishes had sauce on them. Never argue with the Customer Manager. I didn't want anything for free , they were complimentary if the Website wasn't like an IRS itemization form. Bonchon is one of my favorite Korean/ Asian spots in the central Virginia area. The vibe of the restaurant is one like no other. Its dim lights and comfortable seating started us out with an amazing vibe at the beginning of our trip to Bonchon. The service did seem a little slow, it took the waiter a little while to get to us, but it looked like he was serving every table by himself and he was working very hard. He was a super nice guy and tried his best. I won't take any points off for that, because there's nothing they can do if they are short staffed. All of this food took 10 minutes to come out which was felt super quick. As for the taste of the food, we were blown away. The popcorn shrimp had the perfect ratio of breading to shrimp. The spicy mayo it came with was not overwhelmingly spicy but added a really nice complimentary flavor to the shrimp. The shrimp was good quality and the serving was generous as well. They were also hot in temperature which is nice to see that we weren't served cold food. The potstickers were phenomenal! They were crispy on the edges which is something that a lot of Asian places miss on. They were then filled with a soft pork filling which was great in quality. The soy garlic sauce on top, gave it a nice tang and added some flavor as well. As for the wings, they were absolutely incredible. The double fried monstrous drumsticks were the best in my opinion. The quality of the meat was amazing, it offered a juicy and fall off the bone quality of meat. The wings were great as well, I think they were a lot crunchier because of how small they were, but they still had a great amount of meat on them. The white rice it came with was typical white rice. I really enjoyed my experience at Bonchon. I wish it was a little more affordable, but for all the food you get and the quality, I think it is well worth it. This fed my girlfriend and I and we were both pleased with Bonchon. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who either hasn't tried Korean bbq or anyone looking for a change of pace in their Asian food rotation! read more

This is the worst BONCHON I have ever eaten! First all I was mad about my fries being in a paper bag. But the employee assured me it was food safe. Then I get home to eat them and they are coated with sauce. And they were over cooked. They looked and tasted old.I have never had Bonchon wings with wet sauce on it. The flavor is normally in the crust. The wings are smaller than buffaloes wild wings. This will be my last time eating there. And they are entirely too expensive.
