Better this time, lunch specials all had their rice or pickled daikon. The chicken bone in was crunchy and the new flavors of yangyeum and the Korean BBQ were both a hit with the group. The kimchi fried rice had plenty of bacon but very little kimchi. Service quick to grab bags all made and though they were a bit short on utensils, people were happy at the meal.

This restaurant's menu is simple and to the point which I appreciate because it doesn't overwhelm me with options lol. Inside there's less than 10 tables, so it definitely gives the vibes of grab and go rather than stay and sit to eat. I ordered takeout and less than 20 minutes later my food was ready so that was suuuuper nice. I got the chicken sliders and the fried rice& they were flavorful, spicy, and portions were large for the price. Great takeout spot, will definitely be back!

Small Fried Chicken Combo with Pickled Radish (~$14) & French Fries (~$4).

Ordered: 8pc Chicken Strips (~$11 Lunch Special): half soy garlic & half spicy with side of French Fries House Fried Rice with Bulgogi (~$11 Lunch Special): marinated ribeye with Jasmine rice, fresh vegetables, and fried egg topped with sesame seeds and a cucumber garnish Aya's take: I placed my order ahead of time and it was ready when I arrived. The Chicken Strips were a big miss, in my opinion. Each strip was thin, dry, and extremely chewy. I could barely finish them in all honesty. The House Fried Rice with Bulgogi was overall pretty enjoyable. I would give that alone a 4/5. It is a bit sweeter than you'd expect and there's an overwhelming amount of red peppers and onions. It definitely needed some salt or a savory ingredient. Plenty of bulgogi in each bite. Stick to their traditional chicken when coming here!

Stopped by for some takeout fried chicken. Had this before at another Bonchon and we loved the crispness combined with the honey flavor. Ordered a large box of wings and drumsticks with radish pieces. Everyone loved the flavor.

Bonchon chicken is one of the best fried chicken chains I have ever had. The Korean fried chicken just hits different and tastes so good. I would recommend getting the spicy with the radish. I will say their sides are pretty expensive for the amount you get (rice and radish). To the point where I would make it at gone or get it somewhere else. Their other food besides the chicken is also very solid as well! But their main draw is definitely the fried chicken.

    Spicy wings from lunch special

My sister and I ordered curbside for lunch on a weekday and it was ready roughly 5 - 6 minutes after the estimated time on the website. Loved the lunch specials as it was really fresh and a good deal for the chicken! We both got the combo 4 wing and 1 drumstick lunch special on the website but it actually came with 4 wings and 2 drumsticks. My favorite sauce flavor is the spicy fried chicken and I opted to get that while my sister got half half with soy garlic as well which is pretty yummy too. The only reason for the loss of a star is the portion of tteokbokki rice cakes which was relatively small for $11.95, and the overall normal pricings of the place. Will definitely return if I have a strong craving for Korean fried chicken and can't male the 45 min trip to Edison for BBQ Chicken at Lotte Mart.

    Pickled radish

Service: We called the order in and picked it up as soon as we got there. Ambience: Clean with plenty of tables to sit at. Food: We ordered from here when it first opened. Just ordered again recently and was shocked to see how much the wings shrunk. They are tiny compared to when we first ordered from them. Unfortunately there are a few other Korean wing stores in the area that's better than this and have bigger wings. Onion rings are good. Zucchini fries use to be long. Now they are circle and have more breading and less zucchini. Pickled radish is always a hit.

The place is small with a few tables inside, and I visited on a weekday when it wasn't very busy. I ordered my usual, the Soy Garlic chicken and Sweet and Spicy chicken. It was delicious and both dishes were full of flavor. It didn't come with radish, so I had to go up to the counter to ask for some. I did wish they gave me gloves like the other locations so that it wouldn't be as messy when I was eating the food. Overall, I thought the taste was pretty similar to the one in Palisades Park. It seems like their menu slightly differs from the original so I'd like to try some of their other items the next time I visit.

I've never had fries that were so over seasoned I could only eat like 5 before i had to give up on them. As for the sweet and spicy sandwich the chicken was extremely average and the sauce was very sweet and had no spicy taste. The service was quick I was shocked with how fast the food came out for a place that makes fried chicken because it was less than 10 minutes so idk if this was already cooked and then left out and put in sauce but it didn't taste hot and fresh once I got home. The restaurant was tiny but did offer some seating and was not busy when I went around 6.

I really enjoyed their Nashville hot wings! The general tsao wings were okay, but not my favorite. Their Parmesan garlic were not good in my opinion, as they needed much more sauce. They don't have any parking so you have to park across the street or find some street parking which is a little bit annoying. The inside of the place is OK. They have some tables and a bunch of screens but it's pretty loud for me. Overall, not my favorite place to get wings from in the area, but you can make do with these

It pivoted downward with worse service and management all the way to 1 star for the cockroach that crawled into our poker group in 2018 (and I'm removing that photo because - you'll see). And stayed at 1 star after COVID when they refused to invite our poker group back despite the pleas of the nice lady running it. Ownership here has changed. And while the poker group isn't coming back, they still offer the same happy hours with reasonable wing prices, the same amazing array of wing sauces and the ability to mix "on fire" into whatever other flavor I want, the same wide variety of other foods for appetizers, main courses, and dessert. And the same atmosphere, slow service that sometimes forgot to check on us while multiple servers congregate and chat... but at least no more roaches. They've cleaned up better, the restrooms got some much needed upgrades, so with that, I am upgrading my review up to 3 stars. 5 star wings, other things still need improvement, and maybe someday I'll be back to weekly attendance. The chicken wings had a good crisp, the side salad I asked for was fresh, the cheese steak roll was pillowy soft and was nicely cheesy, and most importantly, the gentleman behind the bar who took our order was a fantastically nice guy The cons. The garlic parm sauce on the wings were a bit lacking and the amount of meat on the cheese steak was only half enough to really fill that long roll. And the most irksome thing was the 2,23 % "technology fee". No offense but WTH is that?????? If it was to use the credit card, it wasn't explained at all. Look, if you like a funky bar with good food and you are in the area, I would say check it out once in your life and form your opinion. But, for me, I just don't know how often

The service is very good with counter staff that's very knowledgeable about the menu. I had been to Seoul Food a few years ago and I recall that I had enjoyed one of the 'Seoul Bop' selections. Craving something a little different on my most recent recent visit on a chilly and dreary winter day, my dining companion and I both settled on the Red Miso Ramen ($9), comprised of moderately spicy beef and vegetable broth with vegetables and ramen noodles. I opted to add beef (+$3.50) to my ramen; my dining companion went with the chicken (+$3). We both agreed that the ramen was just okay -- the noodles tasted like instant noodles, the broth wasn't as spicy or flavorful as expected, and the skimpy portions of vegetables and chicken/beef add-ons didn't add much to the experience. If I order the ramen again, I'd probably add more add-ons -- including extra vegetables. Hopefully, this experience was a one-off miss due to some sub-par ingredients. All that considered, I'd give Seoul Food 2.5 stars, which rounds up to 3 stars. I'd be willing to give it another shot next time I'm in the area for one of the Seoul Bowls.
