The good... I went for my birthday and had 16 friends with me. The food was great as expected except that some dishes came out in 3minutes and others took 20 minutes. I understand that we were a big group but it would have been a bit better to try to serve the dishes somewhat together. Everyone enjoyed their meal I bought a bunch of appetizers for the table and they were good, but small. I also ordered a nice malbec. The bad... Shortly before my wine glass was dry, the waiter asked if I wanted another. I said yes that I did, so he brought another one shortly. While placing it on the table, he gladly announced that the wine was "on the house"...meaning a gift. I thanked him, of course. However, when the bill came, he charged me for 2 glasses of wine. When I confronted him about it afterwards, he said "oooooh" and kind of cowered like someone caught in a lie. He told me "yea, sorry it is already on the bill..." So I pushed him again, "so why did you offer me the second glass if you then charged it? I can pay for it, but I do not agree that you offered it to me and then you are charging me for it." He did not have a good answer; and he did not apologize, nor offer to remove it from the bill. After much awkwardness, finally the manager came by and I explained the situation. He offered to rerun the bill without the second glass of wine. It was shame that this mishap occurred, because the evening was nice otherwise. read more

I have ordered food from Bonding almost everyday for a week now and I've got to say I don't plan on stopping. The tom yum soup I've ordered every time and it gets better and better each time. If you like soup with a little more texture try adding rice noodles or veggies to your order, but either way you can't go wrong.The chicken wraps weren't my thing, I prefer the taste of PF Chang's( I know). I sat for awhile with an empty glass, but yet we were the only diners and there were like 6 people working-hum.... To me, the prices are high for what you get. Most rolls are $16-$18 each. The tuna was very fresh and tasty, but I would expect more on the plate for what you pay. I have a thing with sushi rolls being too large to eat in one bite and I had this problem here. I like to be able to enjoy each roll and taste all the flavors, but when a piece is stacked too high, it is a challenge. These rolls are more like inside out rolls. My husband loved it, I on the other hand just thought it was okay. I would have liked a cocktail menu or something more than what they offered. read more

Although it took the place of my former favorite french bistro (RIP LouLous- you were delicious!), it's hard to be loyal when the food is so damn good! The lunch specials are on point- price wise ($10) & taste wise. Dinner's are great also. Bonding offers a selection of unique rolls that really hit the spot. What a find...so glad I came here! The place gets going late (past 9PM) and can get very loud. Seems to be very popular with groups with a very hip vibe. Love the music and atmosphere. The service is also very good. Accomodating and freindly. And what's not to love about Bond himself. Just to see his hair is worth a trip in and of itself. But the main standout here is the food. Menu is "modern" and you get a substantial amount of food for your money. Cozy & colorful spot for a date. I went there with a couple of friends on a Friday night, we got there at 8 and were seated immediately. At around 9 the place started to get packed. We shared a bunch of dishes and everything was so delicious. I specially liked the cuba ocho tuna, the sushi (forgot the name) and the mochi ice cream, which is the bomb. Nothing I've ever tasted before, this ice cream stayed on my mind for a couple of days actually. You have to try it! The service was also spot on. Our server was really nice. When we asked about a dish she was pretty honest and said she didn't like that one (we giggled) and so suggested another one which we loved. The place a semi small and modern with house music usually playing later on at night. This is great for any occasion honestly. We have been for just a simple date night and also a crazy night out with friends and have loved it more and more. Friends from philly that came to visit still are talking about their meal from here and asking when they can book another trip back. My girlfriend and I were looking for good sushi, so we looked in yelp and this place had good reviews so we gave it a try. Getting there is hard due to the construction in Miami Ave. You can park for $10 behind it in the Tobacco Road parking lot which is right there. The place was full on saturday night but there was no need for a reservation. We got there between 8 and 8:30 and didn't have to wait at all. The area doesn't look that great because of the construction all around it, but it still ok. We tried the ceviche as an appetizer and it was really good. A lot better than we expected, actually. From the sushi menu, we ordered the snow rolls (recommended to us as a popular item) and the "Sleepless in Seattle". Both were absolutely delicious. The thai donuts were good also, but hey, have you ever had a bad one of those? Service was also good. Overall, great place. Would definitely recommend it. read more

Before you read anything else: Just go! It's a fabulous Thai/Sushi restaurant. The food is amazing. I keep going back because the food is great and the location is relatively convenient for me. I've had the Pad Thai, the Cashew Chicken, and other Thai dishes. We've tasted the Thai Donuts which are gorgeous in their presentation and so delicious. The decor is modern and hip and often you can see who we think is the owner watching over the service (which is hit or miss). I hope this place gets the traffic to make it work. I was in Miami with my parents last week, but this was no vacation. My dad had a recurrence of throat cancer, and so we were at the University of Miami Hospital for his surgery and then a week of recovery. The surgery involved 3 procedures over 12 hours. The rest of the week was spent staying with him during the day while he recovered. Each night my mother and I stumbled, bleary-eyed, back to our hotel and grabbed whatever was convenient for dinner. By Sunday night, we were ready for - no, needed - something else. Something more. We needed a night out for a nice meal and cocktails. She requested sushi. I found Bonding right here on Yelp, and off we went. First, the interior is lovely. We walked in and immediately a lot of the stress was washed away. Your staff is very welcoming, and the decor chic and hip, but also warm and inviting. The flowers. Good God, the flowers. Beautiful. We shared the Brickellpolitan roll and instantly fell in love. For dinner, Mom had the Orange Duck and I had the Osaka Lamb Steak. Everything was perfect. It was just what we needed after the week we had had. Needless to say, we will be back. I got the yelp app just so I could do this review. Not being familiar with Miami, we got lost on our way to another restaurant and stumbled upon this place instead. And such a find it is! What they lack in size, they definitely make up in the quality of food, service and ambiance. Not an extensive menu, but well thought out- simple but precise. Wings were nicely seasoned without being overpowering. The Mexican roll(don't think salsa at all) is a MUST-TRY item! We ordered the Flaming Fish out of curiosity, and it did not disappoint, plus it was HUGE! I can almost imagine making an excuse to come back to Miami just to try their other surprises. read more

Really loved this place and appreciated how kind management was for accommodating our very very (unplanned) LARGE party. Mind you, the establishment is very small but our group filled up at least 75% of the joint. Prior to everybody showing up, they combined all the non-booth tables into one looooong table (and even that was not big enough for our come and go party!) I was really impressed with how the manager and staff handled the group and everybody's checks as people started to come and go. Coming in, I had low expectations for this place but was blown away by the quality of the fish and the proportions given in the sushi. The happy hour menu boasted $3 glasses of wine, $3 Sapporo and $5 sake along with food bites at $5 each. I was really surprised by this establishment and am super surprised that I've never heard of this place until recently even though I've been a Miami native for the past 7 years. I came here because of the reviews mainly... I loved the ambiance of this place -- the music, the lighting, the fact that it was crowded but not a long wait time. I also really liked the appetizers, drinks, and the presentation. However the sushi isn't great... The flavor combination is just odd: I guess it's a hit or miss and for me it wasn't great. One more thing, the service: the moment we were done w our meal someone picked up the plates and then someone else came and cleaned the 2 tables we were using -- this was completely necessary and I felt like it invaded my space; the table wasn't that dirty to begin with and we had to lift all of our drinks and the center piece (I thought that was a bit too much). Then, after handing our cards, the server took a long time (~15 mins) to bring them back which was odd as well. I wasn't impressed by this place, I rather go to a whole in the wall where the food tastes amazing and the service is impeachable but if you like the fancy look, go ahead and try this place! read more

The menu is small, so if you're picky, check in advance -- this is not the large Pan-Asian menu we are accustomed to seeing in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Red curry with chicken is often (but not always) excellent. Flavors are very good, portion is large, and "spicy" really does mean spicy. The red curry has a great amount of vegetables, which are well well cooked. The chicken was well cooked when we ordered today. However, on a some previous occasions, we've found the texture of the chicken "off" and a bit rubbery. I've previously ordered the pad thai (quite a few times), which tastes best spicy. All the same, it is at best ordinary. Today, I departed from my typical order and instead had the thai basil chicken, spicy. This was substantially better than the pad thai, which had been my previous go-to order. A good amount of vegetables, and here, too, "spicy" really does mean spicy. My wife reports that the sticky rice with mango is very similar to the sticky rice with mango she would eat when abroad in Thailand (albeit, Bonding's was more bland).
