This is where we take our dog to day care. And we absolutely LOVE IT! They're a full-service doggy daycare place. They full-day, half-day, late pickup, grooming, nail trimming. Pickup and drop off is a breeze. Their prices are great for the area and what they offer as well. We looked around, and other similar places were much more expensive. Here, the prices are completely reasonable, especially for the quality of the services offered. I will say their prices for grooming are a LITTLE on the steep side, but the convenience of being able to drop your dog off and then pick them up clean more than makes up for it. They also have a little pet supply shop in the front if you want to buy a toy, or some dog food, or treats. They have a pretty decent selection of raw foods for your dog if you're interested in a raw diet for your pet. Everyone who works here is friendly, and helpful, we've never had any problems and they're always very accommodating. The only (minor) issue is parking. I don't think they have a private lot, and if they do I don't know where it is. Which means street parking. Depending on when you're picking up/dropping off, it may not be a problem but if you're there during some of the busier times of the day you may have to circle the block once or twice to find parking, which can be annoying. But it definitely isn't a deal breaker, just something to be aware. My wife and I did our due diligence on finding a place to bring our dog and Bone Sweet Bone is where we landed. It has been almost a year, and although they posted that they would "look into this," I never received a call, text, email, apology, nothing. They BURNED and CUT my dog, I was up with her all night long with ice packs while she literally cried in my arms.. she had to be taken to the vet, and yet all I asked for was an apology, or something other than a lame public response, that meant nothing, and was a lie. Bone Sweet Bone Studio City is exceptional. I never have an ounce of doubt when I drop off my dog for daycare, grooming, or boarding. The staff is extremely nice and you can tell they all love animals. They communicate if anything were to come up during your pet's stay, which is beyond helpful (I've had places not say anything until I pick up my dog). Aside from my love for BSB, my dog loves going and making new friends (both with the dogs and workers). She always comes home tired! Their grooming service is also A+! Whenever they give my dog a bath, she is the softest and freshest she's ever been. Finally, their boarding service is also unmatched. With an open crate system, dogs are free to roam and won't feel confined to one space for the duration of you being away. And during the day, they get to enjoy daycare! With someone their 24/7 as well, I never feel worried. Especially since they are always posting the dog's on their Instagram stories to give you real day updates!! It's the best. This place is awesome! I brought my dog in for an evaluation and was able to watch from the cameras to see how she was doing. I recently adopted my dog from the shelter and she was labeled as "timid," but she immediately felt comfortable at Bone Sweet Bone. I watched as she made a "play bow" and danced around with the other dogs, all the while with her tail up! It made me so happy and relieved to know that she would be happy there! She immediately took a liking to the guy who was working there and followed him around.I can't remember his name, but he has long black hair. They have a heated/air conditioned indoor area and outdoor area with turf. It's pretty spacious, even with the large number of dogs that frequent this place. Both areas are well maintained with the staff frequently sweeping and hosing the place down. Also, this places closes at 8, an hour later than the other places! I only wish their half day was 6 hours instead of 5, like the other doggy daycares. When I know I will be gone for less than 5 hours, I always choose Bone Sweet Bone. read more

My dog had a major mishap with the previous groomer I sent her to and for that I'm extremely worried about putting my dog in the hands of a groomer that isn't careful. From my two experiences at Bone Sweet Bone, although it's not the best grooming job I've ever seen, nor is it the cheapest, they did manage to ease me up a little . Good work and you just tell them what you want to be done and they wll accommodate. Also, it doesn't take the whole day for your dog to be cleaned up, and as soon as they're done they WILL call you instead of leaving the pup in a cage. Which isn't cool! WARNING!!!!! Do not bring your dog here! My 9 year old Maltipoo spent the night ONCE. I picked him up and a few days later he started coughing and sneezing. I took him to the vet they said he got sick from boarding . My poor dog was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea from severe coughing caught from a dog that was sick at Bone Sweet Bone. Now he forever has to be medicated for the rest of his life . He now wheezes and has a continuous cough from lack of oxygen from the damaged that was caused to his body. Before bringing him to Bone Sweet Bone he was a spunky highly energetic puppy like dog .. Now he just lays in his bed , it's very heart breaking .. I have called and left multiple messages to speak to the owner about this and he never called me back , it's been 1 month! I still absolutely love bone sweet bone. We always get the mobile groomer, and the lady that's always here is the absolute most amazingly sweet lady ever! She takes such good care of my dog, from head to tail and everything in between (seriously, everything in between)! Two of my neighbors also go to her and they love her too. It's easy and quick to get an appointment, they're always on time, and will groom your dog within an hr (for the mobile grooming that is). And my dog has a LOT of fur, but they're quick. I took my 3 dogs in for grooming this past weekend. I made an appointment and was told to bring them in at 10am and they would be ready around 3pm. I got a call at 12 from the owner alerting me that my Aussie has some "bad irritation" on is underbelly and was asked "has he been itching or rubbing against something". The answer is no. I called them at 3, and 4 and the dogs were still not ready, so I decided to just go pick them up at 5:30. 2 of my dogs were still up on the grooming tables. The owner showed me the Aussie's underbelly which was BRUISED and red. It was clear that it was a lifting injury but the owner was suggesting it was an allergic reaction. He knocked off about 15% off the cost of the one dog because of the long delay in grooming them. When I got home, I observed significant irritation in the Aussie's ears which looked like they were scrubbed with steel wool (the other dogs ears did not have this irritation). See pictures. I called the owner and expressed my concern over the lifting injury to which he said "he'd ask the groomer". Then today, I discovered a "rope burn" under the Aussie's neck folds that was oozing. I suspect the grooming loop was too tight, or they had to overpower the dog with the loop. If my dog was too upset or uncontrollable, they should have called me and said it would be too difficult to groom him. But no, they traumatized him which is unacceptable. The bruising to the belly, the significant irritation to the ears, and the rope burn to the underside of his neck. Over 7 hours at the groomers? They were all dying of thirst when they got home. Since moving to North Hollywood from DTLA I was looking for a great place to take my pup for the occasional daycare/boarding needs. I have to say honestly, this place is overpriced to the extreme. The care does not feel bad but it is nowhere near exceptional and absolutely not worth the cost. They lost something I brought with my dog to daycare, I feel uneasy leaving my pup there for extended periods of time since they never give updates or have a web streaming camera. The dog was in terrible condition with matted hair like you wouldn't believe. My neighbor suggested Bone Sweet Bone and called to give them my contact information. They called me right after that! Talk about customer service. I told them about the situation and they gave me an appointment for the next morning. Truvy came out looking like a brand new dog! She was happy and care free. They are open late, I believe until 8pm, which is super convenient. They will also quote you over the phone based on the size of the dog. I have a shihpoo with very long eyelashes. The only instruction I give when dropping my dog off is to please not cut her eyelashes off. I had to give these instructions after they apparently snatched her eyelashes off in a jagged fashion. They must use a buzzer on her face without paying attention. This breed has very pretty eyelashes. I have given them more chances than I should have. Last thursday I took my dog Diva in. I said it 3 times to please be careful with her lashes. This is after they had already destroyed her lashes twice before. When i got home I realized that once again they had been completely careless. A great place to go for daycare. I bring my little doggie here now and then when my regular pet sitter is away, and I feel glad bc the workers here seem to really care about the dogs. They will feed my dog if need be and send photos through the day. They also give updates at the end of how my dog has been all day, which I appreciate since I worry. Make sure to plan a little time before drop off and pick up bc parking is tough in this area. Prices are around $30 a day if I remember for daycare which is pretty standard. I had recently started working walking distance from this place about half a year ago, and have fallen in love! I drop off my dogs as I go into work, then pick them up during my break. Made an 8am appointment on a Saturday, early because I had a full day. Dropped my dog off for a haircut and asked how long it would be. THREE HOURS. OK, this isn't my first rodeo, and I've noticed that this is the norm, but I just don't get it. Why make an appointment time just so your dog can sit nervously in a cage for hours? It's the exact thing I try to avoid. But fine, dropped him off and went and waited. I called at 10:45 just to check in and was told "Oh, our groomer had an emergency, so we're running behind. It'll be another hour or two." I had plans at 12:30 so that wasn't going to work. It seems like the most basic kind of customer service to have picked up the phone as soon as they knew there would be a delay to let the customer know, RIGHT? No, instead they waited for me to call and check. I understand that things happen, but when those things happen it's incumbent upon the business owner to communicate with the customer. I told them I'd come pick him up. I got there and they had the nerve to ring me up for the bath that they had already given him. I DIDN'T COME THERE FOR A BATH. I realize that's part of the grooming but that is not the service I wasted my morning for. Of course not paying isn't an option since they are holding your dog hostage, so I paid the $27 and let them know how ridiculous it was that they were charging me. I was told a manager would be reaching out to me. That was 3 days ago. Haven't heard a thing. I don't want anything from them at this point, I won't be taking my dogs there any longer.
