We had lunch here today, the fish tacos looked good, the mrs ate them up, my shrimp and scallops were excellent....cooked just right. The food was great, service not so much....our waitress was a bit slow, and the place wasn't busy, I'd hate to see it on a busy day. I decided to give Bonefish a try after a long hiatus and once again the service was subpar. The restaurant has definitely taken a hit with other restaurants opening in the area but that was not my reason for looking elsewhere. When we choose to go out for an enjoyable evening we don't want to hear the bartender constantly talk about how he can't wait to leave. The service tonight was extremely horrible as we had to listen to our bartender carry on with his friends about his after work plans, while we waited an hour for our meal. I did over hear this bartender was leaving Bonefish and I feel it is a good thing for the establishment. Bonefish has not been tops on our list for sometime and partly due to the negativity of this longtime bartender. Good riddance. read more

We were very disappointed during our last visit (and it will be our last). The portion sizes have gotten very small. Our calamari appetizer only had 5 pieces to it. All the fish portions for our party of 5 were about half of what they used to be. My son's steak was supposed to me medium, it came out rare. We had to have it reheated. The server said the manager would be out to see us, which never happened. He didn't get his meal until the rest of us were done. We will spend our money elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure I understand what Jeff W. means when he calls this the Americanized equivalent of Outback, but I am willing to bet he meant to refer to Bonefish as the Mediterranean Outback. Yes, it's a chain, but the atmosphere is that of a nice restaurant. Also, the food is some of the best seafood around. My wife and I have enjoyed the crab cakes, bang-bang shrimp (so good), fish, and pork chops. Still haven't had anything there we don't like, which is good because it is expensive. Ask for a gift card to Bonefish for your next birthday, but also be prepared to wait as this Bonefish is really popular in the area. Make reservations a week ahead if you can. read more

I'm surprised they don't have 5 stars! This is by far my favorite place to eat in Bel Air. We probably eat here 3-4 times a month (we don't eat out very often). They said 15 min before o get my order and they asked me to sit in the waiting area and someone would call me when it was ready. 45 min later I go back to the hostess only to find out my order of shrimp and scallops had been sitting there! I paid and took my order home only to find it was cold and they didn't give me my sides! Manager needs to pay attention to the young group hostess. The potato sides were yummy, and the food was decent, but if we hadn't had a gift card, I don't think I would have found it worth my money. I've only been to Bonefish one other time a few years ago. I had such a great experience (at a different location) that I wanted to try this place again. The service was pretty sub par to me. I ordered a hot tea from our server and it took them a very long time to get one. I had showed up a few minutes later than the rest of my party so after a good 10 minutes it became obvious that I was the only one who was missing a drink. We order our appetizers (Bang Bang Shrimp and Singapore Calamari) and our entrees at the same time because it took a while for our server to come back to take our order. After some time, our entrees came out to our confusion BEFORE our appetizers. When we told our server, she asked if we still wanted them. We said yes and she went to go find out what happened. On top of that, 2 sides were missing from our meals and our server didn't seem to have any memory of it. It just seemed apparent that she wasn't checking if everything was complete. Instead, she was asking if there was anything wrong which is quite alright, but when a plate comes out with 1 item on it but everyone else has sides and more than 1 person had ordered the same entree, I would hope our server would notice that right away without us having to flag her down. On top of that, our server came back to tell us the "ticket" was missing on our order so our appetizers were lost in the queue in making food. She apologized but told us there would be an additional wait. We were already halfway through our meals, but we still wanted our appetizers because the bang bang shrimp is a must have. Our server apologized and said it was her fault, but at this point, you would think there would be a comp in price, but there was none. The appetizers came as we finished our meals. Lastly, our drinks/waters took a long time to be refilled. I was confused as the restaurant was not very busy. Such a bad no-no. I ordered the Tilapia Imperial for my meal and it was quite tasty. The rice was a little undercooked and chewy. The Bang Bang shrimp was delicious and was a big hit with the table. The Singapore Calamari was tasty as well. The food overall is very good despite this being a chain restaurant. I am not sure I would be in the area again or make the effort to try this location again given the service was so disappointing. I would have given a higher star rating if our server made an effort to discount a part of a meal for the inconvenience or paid more attention to the details. read more

I've only been here once, but it was a very good experience so I felt I should share! Myself and a guest were seated immediately on a Sunday night around 6pm. Very friendly service, drinks were always full, and the food came out quick. Had to try the bang bang shrimp since everyone raves about them. They were very tasty, but maybe a tad overhyped. I expected them to be a little crispier. For dinner I had the 6oz filet mignon which was juicy and cooked perfectly medium. My friend had the fish tacos and was also very pleased. Overall I think Bonefish may be a little overpriced for the portion sizes, but the service and quality of the steak alone made this visit worth it. I heart Bonefish. It is corporate chain restaurant dining at its best. The fish is always fresh and the service is great. The menu has an extensive fish selection and a portion of the menu where you select the type of fish/seafood and the sauce. My personal favorite is the shrimp and scallops with the chimichurri sauce. The appetizers and bread with olive oil are great. My favorite appetizers are the calamari and the bang bang shrimp. On one recent visit, I had the kobe burger special. I know it is a little unusual to order a burger in a seafood restaurant, but it is worth it. The burger was delicious - served medium with a side of homemade chips. While Bonefish might be a little more expensive than Red Lobster, the consistent and quality food and service definitely makes it worth it. read more

I have never written a review about any restaurant where my wife and I have had dinner. I am usually open minded and fair. We eat out often and realize sometimes things don't go well every visit. That said our first experience at the Bonefish Grille was far far below standards.We made a reservation for 3pm on Sunday Feb. 17th.When we arrived a few minutes early the host said he did see a reservation for us. However there was plenty of seating available. We thought it would be a good time and not to crowded. Our server Zack did a good job. We started with the bang bang shrimp(highly recommended). They were tasty but under cooked. No biggie so we just didn't mention it. I ordered the crab cake and filet mignon dinner with cole slaw and garlic potatoes. Steak ordered med. rare. My food was warm at best. My steak was raw and potatoes luke warm at best. The cold air (lack of heat) in the restaurant did not help. The cold slaw was the worst I have ever had. It tasted as though someone deliberately poured something in it to make it impossible to eat. I had my wife try it and she agreed. I requested bread and butter and it was delicious. The Macadamia Brownie Ice Cream dessert was delicious. The only reason I am writing this review is because my family gave us Bonefish gift cards for $100.00 and it was pretty much a waste of money. I think you should know the cook(not chef) is risking getting people sick from improperly prepared under cooked food. We are not the type of people that would cause a scene or complain. We just don't return to establishments that think so little of their customers to treat them this way. I hope you take this constructive criticism seriously. The food is fantastic usually, but the service is never good. I've come here a good amount of times- and every visit i find myself waiting for up to 20 minutes just to get my drink. This recent time when i came here, we waited 5 minutes just to be seated in an empty restaurant. After we finally got seated, we waited another 10 minutes just to put in our drink order. I asked the waitress for butter when our bread was served and it took me asking 2 other waiters just to get a slice of butter. Food is great, but only if you have time to wait. read more

My wife and I had an early dinner at the Bel Air Bonefish Grill on Friday around 4. We were quickly seated. She had the lobster stuffed shrimp (a special) and I had the Kobi beef burger. The lobster stuffed shrimp was $19.90 and the burger was $13.80. Both dishes were hot, properly cooked and very good. We had soda and tea ($2.99 each) to drink. We had the doughnuts for desert. The doughnuts came with caramel, chocolate, and fresh whipped cream. They were fantastic and a good value for $5. One of the hostesses had way too much perfume. The bathroom was clean. We were very satisfied with the service, price and food. We will return. read more

I've been a loyal customer for nearly 5 years and the quality of both service and food has been steadily declining for the last 3 or 4 years. Today for instance my boyfriend and I went out to dinner and our server didn't bring us the complimentary bread OR silverware! We asked for both twice and didn't receive, once our food was brought out he had to grab silverware from an empty table behind us. I always get the same dinner and today it was burnt to a crisp, everything else was just bland. Also my boyfriend asked for another beer when I ordered dessert and our waitress didn't bring his beer out until after we were completely finished our desert. If it's possible to give negative stars, this one definitely deserved it! It was one of the most disappointing dinner experiences I've ever had. Starting from the corn chowder crabmeat soup, no corn no crab anywhere and the soup was cold. Appetizers Bang Bang shrimp was messy and soggy. The lobster fritters were burnt and with ZERO lobster flavor, we even told the waitress please do not over fried the fritters and they were still over cooked. For entree, kung pao monkfish, maybe 5/6 pieces of small breaded something, I really not sure it was even fish inside, with plain white rice, menu said Jasmine rice, and very undercooked string beans. Any bar food anywhere probably has more flavor! Dessert was banana froster, the supposed crispy shell pieces were not freshly cooked so it was kinda oily, ice cream and banana were fine at least. My wife and I decided to stop in and have lunch as I was off on a holiday. We were shown to a comfortable table with plenty of room. The music and ambience was pleasant which added to the expectation of a great outing at Bonefish Grill. Our waitress Linda h arrived at our table and asked if we wanted something to drink and we both ordered Raspberry sweet tea. I noticed a demeanor in our waitress but thought nothing of it until later during the meal. We ordered the popular Bang Bang shrimp for the appetizer, salad and cod for the entrees. Linda was responsible for at least 6 booths of couples and small families. As our waitress passed back and forth taking and bringing orders, she not once asked my wife and I if we needed anything or how our food was. As she left the kitchen, she stopped at each of the booths to question and service all of the customers behind and in front of us and NEVER asked how we were doing? My wife and I were the only African Americans in her boothes and we took her actions to be racist. It has been years since my wife and I have not left a tip for a waiter or waitresses service; but that day came today! If we go back to this location I will ask that we be placed in another area away from this waitress! read more

Ugg this was a very disappointing venue. I was expecting something a notch higher than red lobster. And somehow it was lower just more expensive. We tried a number of dishes and each one was just bad. The sashimi ahi tuna was 50% sesame seeds sometimes covered on 5 out of 6 surface sides. So all you tasted was the seed - perfect for seafood house to mask the real flavors Bang bang shrimp. A little sauce goes a long way. This dish could have been ok. But instead of shrimp tossed in a light flavoring it was drenched it made the breading on the shrimp soggy. And again over powered and seafood taste. The corn crab chowder was ok The fish and chips was ok but again a seafood house did it the way red lobster serves it with fries. No traditional potatoes. The soft shell was probably the best thing we ate and everyone liked it. And the au gratin potatoes were comforting. The lamb chops were mediocre. To be fair i eat a lot of lamb so i can be picky on it. The crazy thing is the cut and quality of the meat was fair for the price. But again way too much sauce so i literally had to wipe it off each bite. Needless to say we went to another restaurant for dessert based on the fails on the other courses. Overall they have the ability to be better but the menu and delivery need major refinement. Its not a value or quality play which makes this place just noise on the highway of food. Where you go when your first and second choice are too busy or too far away. Too be fair service was pleasant and did match the level of the venues expectations. read more

I have always loved going to bonefish in Glen Burnie. Today I made the mistake of going to the Bonefish in Bel Air. The service was absolutely awful. The restaurant was basically completely empty at 11 am when we arrived. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers in addition to waiting 25 minutes for our drinks. We watched several tables around us get their food and drinks. I feel that we were discriminated against because we were the only table at the restaurant with children. We asked for drinks numerous times and we never received them. We were ignored time and time again. Our server's name was Dana; if you get her as your waitress, ask for a different server. Bottom line, if you have children do not go to the Bonefish in Bel Air, it is clear that they don't appreciate families. They make families feel like they are a burden and unwelcome in the restaurant. read more

I was not happy with my dinner at all. I have ordered Bang bang shrimp and the Classic Ceviche appetizers many time before and enjoyed them. This time the shrimp was dried up tiny unrecognizable, not worth eating. The cerviche, which should be cut up pieces, small enough to scoop on to the chips provided, was in large pieces (only onions, shrimp, a few scallops, sweet potato??????? (which did not belong) and did not have cilantro, peppers, any of the usual herbs or the usual marinade, it was dry. read more
