Had the specials of Black cod w/lump crab, spinach and some type of hollandaise sauce and my companion had shrimp & scallop scampi over linguine. Black cod dish: Very small portion for $28. Choice of two sides also -opted for French fries, which were good, and seasonal vegetables-French cut green beans. Well, the green beans were like they walked out to a back garden, picked them off the plant and warmed them enough to melt the butter. Second try was like they just brought them off the plant. Black cod was nothing to rave about. Was like basic Atlantic cod. Shrimp & scallop scampi over linguine ($18, no side option included) - good flavor, if you love garlic and hate vampires. Garlic chunks were so large that the scallops looked small! Would have been so much better if the garlic was not "chunks". The large garlic chunks made the dish pretty bitter. Plentiful amount of seafood though. The warm warm bread and dipping oil was very tasty as the "appetizer ". Manager tried to make our experience right with our issues and offered us a free dessert. We had the Lava carrot cake, which had carrot pieces and served warm. A good sweet dessert for those that fancy carrot cake. Oh yeah, and the smoked bourbon old fashioned ($13.50) was pretty darn good! Served with a glass on top, containing the the smoke. Adds quite a flavor to the bourbon and I'm a whiskey drinker. We are annual visitors to the area and have been coming to this location for several years. We do not have a Bonefish Grill near where we live but have been to others. Let me start off by saying this has to be one of the best Chain restaurant brands around and this particular location is fantastic! My wife and I dined there recently and the place was about half full when we arrived at 6:30. We were seated at a cozy booth on the bar side. From the hostess that seated us, to our waitress Mikaela, to the food and value, everything was excellent! I started off with a Smoked Old Fashioned. Well made with a quality Bourbon, but what stuck out was the detail....they used one large cube of clear ice (how many places do that!) and a real maraschino cherry (not the artificially red-dyed version. First, they serve a gratis plate of hot (yes hot!) fresh baked bread with their signature pesto dipping sauce that is to die for! We then split a Crab and Corn Chowder which was served HOT and topped with shredded crab meat and crumbled applewood smoked bacon. It was so good we actually came back later in the week for a takeout order of two bowls! I ordered the parmesan crusted trout which was a large nice filet of mild white flaky fish with an incredibly crispy skin on the bottom and topped with a light lemon butter sauce. Outstanding! My wife was in the mood for a steak, so she ordered the filet mignon. It was a nice 7 oz steak, cook to perfection (medium rare as ordered) with the horseradish sauce on the side. The sides we ordered, garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed string were HOT, not lukewarm in many restaurants. The string bean were also amazingly perfected cooked al dente and not mushy or overcooked. We decided to skip dessert, but have had their Creme Brulee and key Lime cake in the past which are made in-house daily and are excellent. Prices are very reasonable, but considering the high quality of the food and excellent service, value is excellent! We look forward to returning and highly recommend both this brand and location. read more

Absolutely terrible I'm in here at 1 for brunch. There is maybe 3 other people in here and they said they're out of French toast. Why even do brunch if you can't fulfill the orders. Wife ordered the Tomato Avocado Salad and a cup of crab chowder, I ordered the lobster roll with white truffle Mac & Cheese. The salad was amazing. Full of flavor. Simple, but well done. The chowder was nice and thick. Had a very smooth, almost buttery taste, but not too heavy. The lobster roll was full top to bottom with lobster. In came on a flaky Brioche bread and tasted amazing. Whatever dressing they use is incredibly flavorful. Mac & Cheese was really good, but a little blend, though sauce was thick and perfect amount (I hate runny sauces). Their should be very little sauce left on plate and have just enough to cover pasta, which was the case here. People in booth next to us had fish tacos. So it finally happened. I had my first bad meal at Bonefish . Eaten at Bonefish probably between Bellaire fl and Paramus nj 40 times snd last night it was bad. My wifes Cod imperial was very good but unfortunately I tried the new cedar plank salmon. The salmon was as dry and tasteless as an old boot. Overcooked so bad the only taste was of the wood plank. The seasonal vegetables was broccoli. It was the worst broccoli i have ever had.it seemed like the cook boiled them for an hour. read more

We ordered our friend's favorite meal, a salmon dinner, to bring to him at the Moffitt Cancer Center Hospital. He was barely eating and was quickly approaching his end. When we shared this sad fact with the person at Bonefish Grill, he refused payment and said, "You are going through enough, so please accept this from me. I wish your friend well." His words meant more than he could ever know. We were extremely touched by his compassion and generosity in providing our friend with what was, in fact, his final meal. I ordered crab cakes and lobster tails via Uber Eats. I picked up the order and decided to check after I left the restaurant because there were people in line after me waiting to be seated; I didn't want to hold up the line. I stopped at the nearest table I could find, after walking less than a minute, and noticed the unappetizing crab cakes pictured. I guess whoever fulfilled the order didn't care about presentation. One crab cake was crumbled; the other was also coming apart, albeit at a lesser degree. I couldn't serve these to my house guests. Overall, I spent around $50 for the most bland, poor dishes. We had a great experience at Bonefish Grill when we came for dinner this week. We arrived around 6:30 PM but they had one booth open and were able to seat us right away. Wednesday is known as their Bang Bang Shrimp Day, but we were here on a Tuesday and they have a lesser known special known as "Hooked on Tuesday". Since we got here just in time for happy hour, we ordered a few house wines for $4 first. For our meals we decided on the Hooked Specials, which includes a salad and dessert along with a choice of one of 9 entrees. I got the atlantic salmon with pan asian sauce, jasmine rice and broccoli. My date got the ahi tuna steak with sauteed spinach and whipped potatoes. The meals were a bit slow to come out as it was quite busy, but once they came they were excellent. The salmon was cooked just right with the perfect amount of seasonings. Broccoli and rice were a little bland, but complemented the seasoned salmon well. For dessert I opted for the coconut pie, which looked decadent, but I was so stuffed from dinner, I ended up taking dessert home and sharing it. All in all, at Bonefish you know what to expect. It's a restaurant with great variety on the menu, with an environment that feels upscale, but prices that are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the experience. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Besides having amazing bread with olive oil dip, I order the same meal at every visit since each and every time it is made to perfection. It is the Bonefish House Salad, made with olives, hearts of palm, baby tomatoes, and citrus herb vinaigrette, with an addition of grilled salmon. I order the dressing on the side but usually end up using the whole container since it is too good to throw away. It is sweet and tangy at the same time. The salmon is flaky and delicious. We just had dinner at the Bonefish Grill. I would like to say the wait to sit down was about 5 minutes, the host reassured us they were cleaning a table for us. The server Ashley was super courteous and made it a point to ask if we were happy with our drinks and dinner. My husband drank blackberry tea and I drank white sangria. Both were delicious. We had for dinner 2 for $45. Excellent price great portions! We had MahiMahi and I had Shrimp both entres came with salad and two sides and dessert to share we had key lime cake!! So waitress seemed good but immediately after we ordered our drinks, which were soft drinks. ( we don't drink) she seemed totally uninterested in us. We haven't been here in probably 5 yrs. Our main gripe was that the portions were too small for the bucks. However, last night we decided to go. We got a nice booth and ordered beers and some fried calamari. They both came out rapidly. The calamari looked a little small but we devoured it. A couple of minutes later the manager came to our table with a huge portion of calamari and apologized that the original order had been short changed. We smiled and gobbled up the extra! We also ordered the Caesar salad and were shocked that it was wonderful. These days, every restaurant has their definition of a Caesar but Bonefish got it right. For the main course, we got the rainbow trout and the ahi tuna. The trout was huge and so was the ahi! The veggies were fresh. I got the au gratin potatoes that were cheesy decadence. We struggled to finish all of our meals. We had polite, accommodating service. The only gripe that I have and have always had with Bonefish is with their "slamming".
