Garlic blue crabs & shrimp platter
    D'onica S.

Baby let me tell you. Despite the lack of service and not being able to sit inside was a downer for me. As I can't see a health food score from outside but the taste of the sauce and crabs quickly made up for it. Garlic sauce 10/10 It was simple not too salty and flavorful! Blue crabs 9/10 I only scored it 7 because they don't give you an option to pick large or small crabs and they were VERY small. But I ate every last one! Corn 10/10 Fresh not frozen Sausage 10/10 Not that cheap dollar store sausage . Close to Nola style Neck bone 10/10 Omg the best smoked neck bone I ever had in my life! Shrimp 8/10 It was ok. I prefer head on with my boil. Still very good. Fruit punch 10/10 taste like my childhood lol Overall I highly recommend. I'm surprised they didn't have cars wrapped around this establishment. Give the option for large or jumbo crabs and this place will sell out! Whenever I'm in Tampa this will be my first stop!

Blue crabs were amazing! First time trying and will 100% be back. Filled with meat and the garlic butter was so good!

This place need both of your hands to work the food. Not work for food :). We happen to pass by and try this place. It is a crab place. Many have come to here get take out. For a crab place, you need time and patience for little meat. But I like it. There is not many table in the restaurant. As a result their take out is popular. We got two snow crabs and 5 shrimp with garlic sauce. They do give a little more leg for us. The sauce really get inside the meat. Very juicy. The shrimp is fresh and easy peeling. It accompanied with potatoes and corn. The snow crab leg long enough and good chamber meat. We do not need to wait long. Food is at the high range but worth the money.

The food was delicious! Service was very quick and fast. Next time I would like to try the garlic hot but the garlic was great as well. I would definitely recommend.

The visit was solely to doba taste test of different crab trays- this location is in Largo and as we were about to enter a young gentleman came out to confirm if we had a call in order for pick up or not. They weren't allowing anyone in due to Covid which I can appreciate. He took our order outside and advised it worked be 15 to 20 minutes. There didn't seem to be a lot of people waiting but hey, who knows how many to go orders they had before we arrived. The food was just ok to me. Lacked flavor but the crabs were meaty. The neck bones were delicious. I could have had just that and been fine. Prices are fair and the portion of food was good just wish there was more flavor to them.

I started to give this place 1 star due to the lack of good customer service when I first visited but things were much better this second go round. The two times I ordered from Grants Seafood & Grille they had children working the front counter, so you can only imagine how that went. I will say the prices are some what on the steep side for what you are getting but the food has always been fresh and flavorful. I usually order one snow crab, shrimp, and sides which includes a piece of sausage, a piece of corn, and a few potatoes. This will usually run me around $16-$17 which is pricey compared to what you can get for that price at a seafood spot in Saint Petersburg. Nevertheless, I will continue to visit Grant's Seafood & Grille since the food is good and it beats driving all the way to the South side of St. Pete for crabs. I would become a regular if they improve the wait time and remove the kids from the cash register.

My boyfriend and I were craving seafood and wanted something serious. However, we weren't prepared for how serious this food was. It gave us a stern talking to. We listened to everything those crab legs had to say too. This was so good, we didn't care how messy it got. We were down for whatever. We also ordered broccoli and fries. The best broccoli we ever had. Got regular garlic on that while we got spicy garlic on the main dish. We should have just got extra broccoli- because it was so so good.

Seafood goodness of snow crab, shrimp, broccoli, corn and potatoes drenched in Grant's signature "Stuttah Buttah " sauce.

My meal was definitely worth the drive to Largo for the finger licking signature "Stuttah Buttah". The restaurant although small in size but filled with the family's kindness and dedication to serve quality food, cooked and seasoned to perfection. By far an adventure of deliciousness in every bite. I'll not only be returning but will tell a friend.

This place is amazing! Not your typical tourist trap. More of local joint. They are currently doing "to-go" only due to Covid. We got our meal & took it to a local park. Best seafood we've eaten in the Tampa area, hands down! Be sure to get Grant's juice, you wont be disappointed!

    Good to go

Back for another visit . The food here always on point . The youth that work here are very well mannered with great customer service skills. Its kept clean food is served hot and well worth the wait. Take my word for, you won't be disappointed with the food, services and clean atmosphere.

I don't even know what to say or how to start! I was craving seafood. I've been to other chains that were so so. I've been wanting to try Grants for some time now but I hate driving (not that it's super far from me, I'm just lazy) So, this past Wednesday I was on IG (I also follow them) and they posted a picture that literally made my mouth water so I said ok, leggo! I hit up my cousin to see if she wanted in on this goodness; she was in. I placed our order through their IG page that connected me to their website. Super easy peasie! I got the Wednesday special that included one cluster, shrimp, muscles, potato, and broccoli with their garlic hot seasoning! You not beat that price! OKURRRRR! After a few minutes of ordering I set out to pick up the order. Due to the virus, they asked for the make and model of the vehicle so they can bring it out to you! They might want to think about keeping that policy, it's very convenient for all. Anyways, after my 15 min drive, I get the the restaurant that is in a small shopping plaza. I honestly passed it bc the sign isn't that big. Note to owners, get a bigger sign. Your food is really that good... people need to know where you are so they can get them some!!!! After a few min of waiting, our food comes out and we are on our way! The smell... OH MY! I was salivating! I washed my hands and dug in. I almost forgot to take a picture. First bite, no life, was the broccoli (I love my veggies) was so tender and flavorful and may I say the biggest stalks of broccoli I have ever seen! Suttah buttah hot garlic sauce Yasssssss! It had a good amount of heat but I do wish (I LOVE Spicy) it was a bit spicier. I ate every last drop and thought about saving the rest of that hot garlic sauce in a container! Listen, stop going to these chains and go support your local mom and pop small businesses. They know how to DO IT RIGHT! I'm a forever customer! Update****** 5/20/20 I told a few friends about my experience and we decided to order. We placed 4 orders. 3 trays of the Wednesday special, I wanted mine to be a little spicier so I got the garlic hot and added the extra hot for a $1.50 more. My cousin got two clusters with 5 shrimp and added on sausage for $1.99. I wrote specific instructions to have the sausage added to that tray, which shows on my receipt. Ok, here we go, all set. I drive to go get this wonderfully flavored food to enjoy with family and friends with no doubt that they will also become "forever customers" Once everyone opened their trays, I took a look and I must honestly say, I was a bit disappointed. No tray was the same and non looked like they did the week prior. The amount of food was less, the sauce was less and it just seemed lack luster. On top of that, there was no sausage in the tray for my cousin. Bummer. Ok Grants, what's going on. No biggie, things happen. I call, no answer. I call again, no answer! Hummm?! That's interesting. I decided to go to my IG page and send them a message to inform my order did not have the sausage we paid for. Guess what, they read the message but no acknowledgment to date yet they have seen the message. This makes me very disappointed Grants. Answer your phone and acknowledge your customers! No Bueno!!!! Perhaps they had an off day, things happen, but, I think I will take some time and return to Grants in a few months to try it out again!

My husband and I shared the Hungry Crab Festival boil. It was delivered separately from the rest of the groups' orders due to being too large to fit on the serving robot. Our food was hot and tasted fantastic. The kids all complained about their mac and cheese being watery and bland. The ones who also got boils said they were fantastic. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. We loved the complimentary warm bread served with seasoned olive oil--it was a huge hit with the kids before our food even arrived. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with two delicious dipping sauces. It disappeared quickly! For our entrées, the coconut shrimp was outstanding. The shrimp were large, coated in a crunchy toasted coconut breading, and paired perfectly with the orange blossom honey marmalade. The creamy garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and roasted tomatoes rounded out a delicious plate. We also ordered the crab cakes, which were packed with lump crab meat, perfectly seared, and complemented by the Creole mustard aioli. Our kids were just as impressed! The kids' fish and chips meal came with a surprisingly generous portion of flaky fish, crispy fries, and fresh fruit, making it an excellent value. Our other child ordered the adult cheeseburger entrée and couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. It was thick, juicy, perfectly cooked, topped with melted cheddar, and served on a soft bun with crisp lettuce and tomato. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. Combined with the relaxing outdoor atmosphere and exceptional service, Guppy's delivered a fantastic dining experience. To our pleasant surprise, we were seated right away even though the restaurant was very busy! They initially placed us in a booth and we kindly asked if there was a table near the window since they had a great view of the water. The hostess checked and found us a table next to the window. Great start so far. Our server was pleasant, though service was a bit slow. But again, the restaurant was very busy so we understood and were just happy to enjoy a meal there. It was our last night on the beach and we were very hungry, so we decided to order a bunch of items: Espresso martini Bread basket Lobster bisque Smokin' fresh tuna spread Sushi Red grouper (catch of the day), Indian shores style with shareable side of au gratin potatoes Red grouper (catch of the day), wood fire grilled with mashed potatoes Shareable side of charred asparagus Our server spaced them out and brought out the drink, the bread, the soup, and tuna spread first. The bread was supposed to be sourdough, but when the basket came out I noticed it didn't look or taste like sourdough so we checked with the server and he informed us that they ran out of sourdough so they gave us basically a French baguette. This was surprising and quite disappointing because we should have been notified of the change right away. Also concerning for allergies, but fortunately, we didn't have any. Then came the sushi and finally the entrees. Almost everything was delicious. One of the grouper entrees was a bit overcooked, but we really enjoyed the sides. The espresso martini was smooth and strong. Even though I always make room for dessert, we decided to skip because by the time we finished our entrees, we had already been there for two hours. Also, my son ordered a scallop dish and it came with almonds all over the plating but almonds were not described at all in the menu. When we called the restaurant back to talk about the mistake, the server who answered, said she didn't think that anything could be done about it, but maybe they could make a buttered pasta for our son who ordered a signature entrée and not from the child menu. She said she would ask her manager and call us back. She did not call us back, so my wife called back and asked to speak to a manager. She was able to talk to the manager. Ultimately, my son was able to get the order cooked again without nuts. The manager's excuse was that they had recently designed new menus, but they hadn't been printed so the nuts weren't listed. We ordered off of a digital copy online so that would not need to be printed onto paper. For allergens like nuts, that absolutely needs to be listed on the menu. They did comp his order so I gave two stars, but thank God he's a super careful kid. The food that I ordered was grouper chowder, and the coconut shrimp appetizer. The chowder was bland and had one 1 in x 1 in x 1.5 in chunk of grouper in it. The saltines it came with had more flavor. The shrimp in the coconut shrimp was cooked but parts of the coconut were undercooked and tasted like raw coconut, which is either because too many were cooked in the fryer at once or the fryer temp was too high. We picked up the order. I noticed that the place was busy but the kitchen staff seemed small. Probably too much pressure in the kitchen to meet diner demands. Maybe the kitchen needs more staff.
