a menu for the blue crabs

If you like snow, crab, shrimp and garlic butter, and this is the place for you. Right now they only do takeout at their Largo location or their Food Truck at various local events. The first time we found them was at the Safety Harbor Arts and Wine festival. We ordered the snow crab cluster and shrimp. They give you a choice of Grant's (should be famous) garlic "Stutta Butta" It's probably called that because it is such delicious butter that it will make you stutter. And they give you a choice of regular or spicy. I must caution you that you'll probably need one of those plastic bibs and about 20 napkins and even then it's still very messy. But it is so worth it! The snow, crabs and shrimp were drenched in that spicy garlic butter sauce. As were yummy boiled potatoes, and corn. Everything was so good. There, Clearwater, brick, and mortar location. It's only take away. Nice family owned business and delicious food.

Baby let me tell you. Despite the lack of service and not being able to sit inside was a downer for me. As I can't see a health food score from outside but the taste of the sauce and crabs quickly made up for it. Garlic sauce 10/10 It was simple not too salty and flavorful! Blue crabs 9/10 I only scored it 7 because they don't give you an option to pick large or small crabs and they were VERY small. But I ate every last one! Corn 10/10 Fresh not frozen Sausage 10/10 Not that cheap dollar store sausage . Close to Nola style Neck bone 10/10 Omg the best smoked neck bone I ever had in my life! Shrimp 8/10 It was ok. I prefer head on with my boil. Still very good. Fruit punch 10/10 taste like my childhood lol Overall I highly recommend. I'm surprised they didn't have cars wrapped around this establishment. Give the option for large or jumbo crabs and this place will sell out! Whenever I'm in Tampa this will be my first stop!

Blue crabs were amazing! First time trying and will 100% be back. Filled with meat and the garlic butter was so good!

This place need both of your hands to work the food. Not work for food :). We happen to pass by and try this place. It is a crab place. Many have come to here get take out. For a crab place, you need time and patience for little meat. But I like it. There is not many table in the restaurant. As a result their take out is popular. We got two snow crabs and 5 shrimp with garlic sauce. They do give a little more leg for us. The sauce really get inside the meat. Very juicy. The shrimp is fresh and easy peeling. It accompanied with potatoes and corn. The snow crab leg long enough and good chamber meat. We do not need to wait long. Food is at the high range but worth the money.

The food was delicious! Service was very quick and fast. Next time I would like to try the garlic hot but the garlic was great as well. I would definitely recommend.

The visit was solely to doba taste test of different crab trays- this location is in Largo and as we were about to enter a young gentleman came out to confirm if we had a call in order for pick up or not. They weren't allowing anyone in due to Covid which I can appreciate. He took our order outside and advised it worked be 15 to 20 minutes. There didn't seem to be a lot of people waiting but hey, who knows how many to go orders they had before we arrived. The food was just ok to me. Lacked flavor but the crabs were meaty. The neck bones were delicious. I could have had just that and been fine. Prices are fair and the portion of food was good just wish there was more flavor to them.

I started to give this place 1 star due to the lack of good customer service when I first visited but things were much better this second go round. The two times I ordered from Grants Seafood & Grille they had children working the front counter, so you can only imagine how that went. I will say the prices are some what on the steep side for what you are getting but the food has always been fresh and flavorful. I usually order one snow crab, shrimp, and sides which includes a piece of sausage, a piece of corn, and a few potatoes. This will usually run me around $16-$17 which is pricey compared to what you can get for that price at a seafood spot in Saint Petersburg. Nevertheless, I will continue to visit Grant's Seafood & Grille since the food is good and it beats driving all the way to the South side of St. Pete for crabs. I would become a regular if they improve the wait time and remove the kids from the cash register.

My boyfriend and I were craving seafood and wanted something serious. However, we weren't prepared for how serious this food was. It gave us a stern talking to. We listened to everything those crab legs had to say too. This was so good, we didn't care how messy it got. We were down for whatever. We also ordered broccoli and fries. The best broccoli we ever had. Got regular garlic on that while we got spicy garlic on the main dish. We should have just got extra broccoli- because it was so so good.

Seafood goodness of snow crab, shrimp, broccoli, corn and potatoes drenched in Grant's signature "Stuttah Buttah " sauce.

My meal was definitely worth the drive to Largo for the finger licking signature "Stuttah Buttah". The restaurant although small in size but filled with the family's kindness and dedication to serve quality food, cooked and seasoned to perfection. By far an adventure of deliciousness in every bite. I'll not only be returning but will tell a friend.

This place is amazing! Not your typical tourist trap. More of local joint. They are currently doing "to-go" only due to Covid. We got our meal & took it to a local park. Best seafood we've eaten in the Tampa area, hands down! Be sure to get Grant's juice, you wont be disappointed!

Back for another visit . The food here always on point . The youth that work here are very well mannered with great customer service skills. Its kept clean food is served hot and well worth the wait. Take my word for, you won't be disappointed with the food, services and clean atmosphere.

    Garlic and parm wings

I ordered online. Once you arrive, call, and they bring it to your car. Split the special between 2-3 people. It's huge and absolutely delicious. A great way to try a couple menu items. It's all seasoned really well. I don't even like red potatoes, normally, but these are great (and cut as medallions). Really liked that one of the blue crabs was small, so they threw in an extra. The wings were solid. Well seasoned, tender, a little crunch on the skin. I dipped them because the parm didn't really survive the drive, but I didn't feel like the sauce aspect as lacking at all.

The restaurant is located behind the German club on 66th Street, a second business in the German club parking lot! Apparently, the family that has his place is from Maine and they got a lot of success brewing beer. That's success led them to start the restaurant serving seafood from a family business in Maine. We started off with a bowl of New England clam chowder and a dozen oysters. To what are whistles we got a glass of their tap Chardonnay and a beer. My wife's Chardonnay was ridiculously good! But nothing could beat those oysters - sweet with a little bit of brine, and very fresh. For dinner we got a lobster roll - they come hot or cold, with the hot coming with melted butter. We also got the fried haddock roll.... Wow! Both were fantastic! I know we overdid it with dinner.... We even got an order of the whole belly clams. I didn't think anyone in Florida served those down here! Absolutely ridiculous . In short, we had fantastic dinner and terrific beverages. I really recommend you at least try to find the place - we almost didn't go in because of its awkward location and the fact that no cars were outside. We saw the place was open and decided to have a appetizer because the Yelp review was so strong, and I'm glad we did! I told the two people there they should park their cars nearby so patrons would see them..... Anyway, I'm going back again, but this time I'm bringing friends!

We had 11 people in our party so it was a large group. The service was ok. The waitress was assigned more than one table so she was stretched too thin. Drinks were ordered, but the water/tea/lemonade tastes very odd. 5 of the 11 people in our group were kids and ordered chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese or fries. My husband and I shared the Hungry Crab Festival boil. It was delivered separately from the rest of the groups' orders due to being too large to fit on the serving robot. Our food was hot and tasted fantastic. The kids all complained about their mac and cheese being watery and bland. The ones who also got boils said they were fantastic. Someone else ordered the tilapia and said it was ok. Could have used more seasoning. Overall, great for a seafood boil, but appears to be under staffed.

Broke N Bored - Name Checks Out…read more We visited Broke N Bored with a group of 6 adults and 3 kids, and after nearly 2 hours waiting for our food, I can confirm the "Bored" part of the name is extremely accurate. I spent most of the meal wondering if the "Broke" part referred to the stove. When we arrived, there was only one other family in the restaurant, so naturally we expected a reasonable wait. Instead, we had enough time to watch the tides change, discuss our retirement plans, and nearly raise the children to adulthood before the entrees arrived. To start things off, we were encouraged to sit outside in the blazing Florida sun. With three little kids, that wasn't happening. The staff did move us inside, but seemed less than thrilled about it. Considering how long we ended up waiting, sitting outside would've turned us into SpongeBob from his out of water movie. Appetizers: * The PB&J Brussels sprouts were fantastic. Unique, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. * The seared tuna was very good. * The calamari tasted good, but apparently calamari prices must be through the roof because there were more fried banana peppers than actual squid. Service: The waitresses were friendly, but drink refills and table check-ins could have been much better. During a two-hour dining experience, hydration becomes a survival issue. Entrees: * The mahi was excellent. * The "pineapple slaw" had about as much pineapple flavor as a bag of plain cabbage. Just call it slaw and save everyone's expectations. * The crab cakes were mediocre and thinner than Slender Man. * The Caesar chicken wrap was okay, but I had to conduct an archaeological dig through the lettuce to locate the chicken. * Fries were fine. * The chicken caprese was decent if you got a bite with everything together, but the chicken itself was chewy and lacking flavor. * Mashed potatoes were dry. * Pulled pork was okay, but nothing memorable. * The Black & Blue burger was decent. By the time our entrees arrived, nobody had the patience left for dessert, so we skipped it. One final note: a restaurant this size having only two high chairs is a bold strategy for a family-friendly beach area. Overall, there were a few genuinely good menu items, especially the Brussel sprouts and mahi, and the staff was pleasant. But waiting almost two hours for food in a restaurant that wasn't busy overshadows nearly everything else. The food was mostly decent. The experience? Long enough to make the restaurant's name feel less like branding and more like a warning.
