Unfortunately, the sauce doesn't add much flavor either. My teen ordered the brunch tacos - bacon, eggs, and cheese - and said the crab cakes were better. There was a large machine near the rear of the restaurant blowing air during our visit. Unfortunately, the hostess initially sat us at the table closest to that machine and to the restroom, but thankfully Austin was able to move us and did so graciously. The food and drinks are always delicious; majority of the time, service is topnotch as well. This time, the server was fine but could've been a little more attentive. I love Bonefish Grill. Parking Lot: easy to find parking. Since in a shopping center. Location:Smaller location compared to other Bonefish Grill I have visited. Clean environment and lighting was perfect at this location ( not too dark and not too bright). Food: Delicious, flavor wast fantastic. I ordered the Chimichurri Steak and the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. Drinks were delicious I got a Sangria. Service: Hostess was really friendly and walked me to my table with no wait. Awesome experience. Bonefish is well known for their dish called "Bang Bang Shrimp" and the appetizer did not disappoint. My husband had the blacken chicken egg rolls and enjoyed them very much. The menu itself was plentiful. You had options on top of options with a flare of creativity!! I loved the flexibility. For the entrees, my husband ordered the chimichurri bistro fillet with a side a mushroom risotto, kung pao brussels sprouts. I ordered chilean Seabass with chimichurri sauce, a side of broccoli and whipped mashed potatoes. My husband's food was DELICIOUS. The kung pao Brussel sprouts was the favorite. I love roast brussels sprouts in general, but the Kung pow sauce elevated the brussels sprouts for me. The Seabass was cooked to perfection as well light, fluffy and tender. The chimichurri sauce was a perfect compliment to the sea bass. When we have a good meal, we always want dessert. We had their apple cider cheesecake and bourbon brownie. The cheesecake was delicious out of love for the apples to be sautéed versus raw because the garnishments that were like a cookie crust gave me the crunch that I needed so having them sautéed would've been better for me. For the bourbon brownie, warm and delicious would've been great if there was ice cream however they were out of ice cream. Shout out to our waitress Allison who was amazing. She provided a great experience and made awesome recommendations. I will definitely request her when we visit next time. Another shout out to the manager Andrew he was very proactive on the dining room floor serving with a smile making sure everyone is having a good experience. The ambience was an overall vibe. The Bone Fish Grill at North Hills were always making mistakes on our food, the drinks were terrible and the service was something to be desired. So we started going to the Bone Fish Grill at the Cary location for the last 6 years and loved it until now. First off I made reservations for a booth in the bar area for 7:30 PM on Friday night. We got there and all the booths were occupied and they told us that and put most of not all in the bar area. she said, that it would be at least 20 minutes for a table to clear. I took a walk around the area and looked the earliest table to empty would be at least 1/2 hour as 3 tables were different stages of enjoying the fresh bread and salads. The Maitre D stated she was sorry and that she could seat us in the main dining area where there was close to 12 empty tables or more. I see that Bone Fish have removed the St. Josephine's Mussels from their menu, the mussels were far better than any other restaurant in the area. They replaced the original potatoes Au Gratin with another potato dish that is not near as good but you get ton of it, I would rather have the original back hands down and so would every person we talked to. We started with drinks and the drinks were quite good although my wife's Margarita was in a small glass and the level was at least 3/4 inch below the rim. We ordered the Supreme Dip which was very good. When we ordered our food I told the server that we wanted to finish our salads before they bring us our main meal and my wife reiterated the same. Well, she could not take directions well, because we received our meals in the middle of our salads, we told her how displeased we were and she stated she was sorry. Well, I am not going to finish my salad while my main meal is getting cold so I left half the salad there and it was rather tasty. We had a gift card from the North Hills Bone Fish Grill which they gave us about 9 months earlier when we thought we would give them another try and of course they disappointed us and they gave us the gift card to bring us back. Well, our server stated that it had expired and could not honor it. No big deal we tried and most good restaurants would have honored it no questions asked, as our dinner was over $140.00. We are members of the Bone Fish Grill and other restaurant groups, so we get points and build them up to get a percentage off a meal some day when we build enough. I put my phone number on the receipt to get our due points to get off a percentage off our next meal. My wife stated that it should have been her number, hoops. So we asked our server if the points went through and she said, yes. Well, my wife usually gets an alert a couple of minutes that we got points for our dining there, no such alert came through. We did not confront her, but how many times can you let a server make mistakes before you call the manager over. We should have but we didn't and the fact that we are such nice people I gave her $1 less than 20% for a tip. I should have a lot less and than maybe she will do better on her next table. The Cary location has been our go to Bone Fish Grill in the area as the food is always good, but one more experience like this and we will start looking at the Bone Fish Grill in Durham. If you haven't been to the Bonefish grill in Cary for a while, you need to check it out. They upgraded the dining area. It is modern, comfortable, and a tad too dim. I'm glad I checked it out since the menu is way better than I remember. Plus the employees (including the manager) are incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. I particularly like the bang bang shrimp and ahi tuna. Most recently we enjoyed the bang bang shrimp tacos accompanied by fries. I should have swapped the fries for chips though. Their seasoned tortilla chips are delicious and crisp. Dine in or order takeout. The website is easy to read and use for online orders. Ample parking is available, but the areas closest to the restaurant may be taken. Took us a while of driving around to find a spot further away (but easily walkable). Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this restaurant to others! read more

We came to bonefish to celebrate my mom's birthday - they all got the mahi mahi which was excellent, and I got the tuna poke bowl. The poke bowl was just ok - toppings were scarce and the fish didn't taste the best. I think I may have ordered the wrong dish here. They also forgot my side of Brussel sprouts, but brought them out promptly after we reminded them. The second piece of salmon was 1/2 the size of the first, not a center cut and was overcooked and rubbery. I ordered desert as 2/3 of my meal was inedible. I ordered the flourless brownie sundae. Last week we were in the mood for fish. Sadly, we went elsewhere instead of BFG for dinner and had a mediocre fish dinner. This week we needed to redeem our craving for seafood and decided to check out Bonefish Grill. What a major difference! We were super early for our reservation but it wasn't a problem. They were able to seat us in a darling two top at the window. They were super accommodating and very welcoming. Once again I find myself wishing I had a better memory because our server was the cutest, most friendly server I've had in a while. She was very quick with our drink orders and very knowledgeable about the menu. My mom went for the filet and lobster tail while I had the Mahi with mango salsa. When they delivered the lobster to my mom you could see something was off about the tail they gave her. The manager was very quick to whisk the "offending" tail away with a promise of a better one. Meanwhile, we were in bliss with what we could honestly say was the BEST steak we'd had in a dogs age. No, seriously, this steak was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth like butter. BUTTER! Mom went to town on the steak al.ost forgetting the tail. Meanwhile, this glorious piece of fish was served to me. The Mahi was fresh and cooked to perfection. The mango salsa was perfect with the blackened spices. I was a very happy camper. Finally the replacement lobster arrived and you could tell it was a good one. According to my mom, who wolfed it down, it was as good as the steak! While digesting a perfect meal, another one of the managers came to the table to apologize and inquire if the replacement lobster was satisfactory. Since it had already been consumed it was an obvious "yes!". The prices were extremely reasonable, there is ample parking and it is in a very nice area. The ambiance was ideal for dinner. If I had a complaint it would be the music was a little loud but it was good music so I can't really complain! If we hadn't just dined out two weeks in a row I'd say we will be back next weekend.....maybe the following weekend can be justified. I can't wait to dine out again! read more

Ate a late lunch on Monday with my wife. Had the bang bang shrimp app and was very good. We split a salmon entrée. Salmon was good flavor but was overcooked. Not bad enough to return or even say something but a bit dry. Had a glaze on it which helped. Our poor server was finishing up a big table and they were a bit much to handle. She was definitely affected by the patrons and the manager had to get involved. We were able to talk with her and I believe that helped calm her nerves. So many tables squeezed into the dining area that it's difficult to get up and to the restroom. The food is still good - predictable but good. While the service was very good - our waitperson did try to steer us away from the trout because it has bones in it...?? Seems something the kitchen should take care of - or we understand the risks. I had the trout (despite the warnings) and she had the Lucy's chicken. Chicken was good as was the trout (only one bone identified). We weren't super impressed with the service. There weren't many people there when we were in, yet it was still quite a wait for our food. My husband's steak was overcooked. If you've ever been to Bonefish you'd know that there's a few pretty good popular items among a list of very average items and it is pretty overpriced. I also think if you know how to cook well at home this food won't be fantastic for you. The service was okay, our waiter actually didn't even smile at us until it was time to sign the check (LOL) and the host seemed impatient and also not friendly. People love high energy and warm smiles when getting served and greeted so how we were treated was very annoying to me, especially because it was my family's first time going (I've been here before with friends). We got the signature pasta, bang bang shrimp, and imperial cod. If you know how to make pasta and salmon at home you will not be the slightest bit impressed by this one, so I'd recommend something else. The pasta and salmon both lacked flavor and even my dad who will get and like pasta anywhere wasn't a fan. The cod imperial was good but I would say the imperial dip appetizer is more delicious. The bang bang shrimp is great- I'm sure everyone knows this, so I'm pretty sure the bang bang tacos would be good too. The creamed spinach was yummy too- we chose that as a side for a $2 up charge and it was a good portion. I would give it a 4/5 if our service was good but sadly our overall experience was a 3/5. read more

I stopped here for lunch after visiting my eye doctor across the street. I hadn't been to a Bonefish restaurant in a while but was really wanting some bang bang shrimp. The inside was clean and the hostess greeted me at the door. My actual server was amazing and so friendly. I ordered the bang bang shrimp, corn chowder, side salad and the Mac & cheese. Everything was delicious. I wouldn't get the Mac again but not bad enough to remove a star. I also ordered the pineapple martini which was sooo good! A group of five of us went to this Bonefish for Easter. I ordered to start the LUMP crabmeat and avocado spinach salad. Firstly, the salad had next to no crabmeat which definitely not fresh lump. It looked and tasted like it was right out of a can. I asked the waiter if this was the right amount of crab and he said he would get me more. He came back with a 1/4 teaspoon of more crab. I sent it back. For my entree I ordered the Chilean sea bass with rice and rosemary potatoes. The sea bass was a tiny piece with cold rice and fried potatoes with a drizzle of some white sauce on it. I sent that back too. To replace that I ordered Lilys chicken which was just ok. My friend ordered the filet and shrimp and the shrimp came out half raw. Steak was dry. Another friend ordered the filet with shrimp and scallop scampi. She said it was not good. The fish was smothered in some kind of sloppy tasteless sauce. To make matters worse, the service was horrible. Our server hardly came back to see if everything was OK. When we finished he left all the dishes on the table took our checks and never cleaned the table. This review is based on a takeout order from this past weekend. I ordered 2 meals online for carry out. I received a text stating that my food was almost ready and to click the link to enter my parking space number when I arrived, which I did. I arrived at the exact time my food was promised, but sat in my car for 15 minutes waiting. It was busy so I thought maybe my food just wasn't quite ready. Finally, I had to use the restroom so I went inside and saw my order sitting at a table near the back of the restaurant. I grabbed it on my way out and no one ever said a word to me. My food was cold and needed to be reheated when I got home. I also did not receive the sides I had ordered, just French fries. That being said, the food was delicious and the portion sizes were large. I just wish someone would've taken the 30 seconds to bring our food out at the time it was ready. read more
