Pollo Rosa Maria Nice Chicken Polo dish with mushrooms and prosciutto. The salad was fresh and of good portion. Service was excellent.

Recent remodel in dining room and bar brighten up floors tables and the bar. Very clean restrooms. Lighting is perfect. Started off with an Arnold Palmer and unsweetened iced tea. Keith, our server, brought out fresh warm bread with spices in olive oil to start. Ordered the Veal Marsala with mushrooms in sauce. Pan seared garlic cloves accented the Spinach or broccoli side. Chicken Polo was great served with an Asparagus side. Vincent, the owner, came out to greet us tableside. The dessert was the famous CARRABBA'S ITALIAN GRILL SOGNO DI CIOCCOLATA (CHOCOLATE DREAM). Delicious indulgence in chocolate is a must try! I highly recommend this fine Carrabbas in Apex, N.C. located on Haddon Hall Drive next Sky Zone up on the hill. Spacious parking is well lighted with Handicaped accessible entrance and wide doorways. The bar is full service with good selection of wines and cocktails.

Sad day when your an Italian restaurant and your lasagna looks like something I cooked, and I can't cook.

    The actual dish.

This place has always been a favorite but not tonight...my first impression was the dirty door. Next the lack luster caring of the staff...totally off what I know of this waiter. Then the dirty oil dispenser. The food tasted good but the picture on the menu was not true in real life ( no tomatoes, not enough of other goodies like spinach and mushrooms) . The chicken and noodles tasted wonderful. This visit did not meet my expectations of a birthday celebration.

Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring our drinks were always full and checking on us at just the right moments without being overbearing. The food was absolutely delicious. The fried flounder was outstanding--perfectly crispy on the outside, incredibly flaky and fresh on the inside, and not greasy at all. We also tried the Chicken Jarrett, which was incredibly savory, juicy, and packed with flavor. It is a fantastic option if someone in your party wants a break from seafood! If you are looking for top-tier food and a welcoming atmosphere in Cary, this is the place to be. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

The…read moremini crab cakes were a perfect starter and I enjoyed their very flavorful but not spicy version of their popular shrimp & grits. Nice atmosphere inside, but recommend reservations as they fill up quickly. The Deets: Some friends/coworkers and I decided to catch up over a meal and we decided on trying out this location of Cape Fear Seafood Co. on Lake Pine Drive. I had been to the one located in the Village District (formerly Cameron Village) of DTR in the past and knew of this one opening up through Yelp. If you know me, I am usually not one for seafood but remember I had a pretty good experience at the one in DTR. We noted that it would be a good idea to have a reservation so one was made. Good thing, this place gets crowded fast, even around the 5pm point. Upon arrival, we were promptly shown to a table with menus. While walking in, this restaurant has that beach type feeling with brightly painted areas and subtle pelagic decor without going overboard. The bar area gave a warm, inviting vibe. Back to the menu, their menu is pretty expansive but not over the top multiple pages. I think even the non-seafood lover can find something to like here. We started with hush puppies for the table and I went with the appetizer sized mini crab cakes for myself. I loved the mini crab cakes and the lemon beurre blanc sauce with them, just enough for a starter and tasted great. The hush puppies were good as well but just a tiny bit too brown for me, they were a little bit more done than I'd like. I like them more of a golden finish instead of brown, just my preference. For my main dish, I went with their Cape Fear Shrimp & Grits. They are a pretty popular choice here and I remember liking them at the DTR location. They remained a great choice, they were delicious. They are very flavorful and enjoyable without being spicy, which I like as I am non-spicy food person and it seems most everywhere does their shrimp & grits spicy. I find this take on them refreshing. I would have liked more cheese grits in the serving as it seems to be like a half serving, however the shrimp as well as the creamy sauce were plentiful. Service did a good job here, checking on us periodically. In all, I liked this experience here at Cape Fear Seafood Co. for the most part and would enjoy visiting again in the future.

It said they came with three different sauces, but mine only had the red sauce. My daughter got the chimichanga. I tasted that and it was very good. Special orders are even do-able if you call or visit their website and tell them, they might be able to pick it up on their next trip. Shrimp, scallops, seafood, and, on this day . . . crawfish cakes . . . The crawfish cakes were fine. I'm not sure I'd get them again, but not because they weren't good, but because they were too salty for me and after the third bite, it was too much. If that's not an issue for you, then these would be a win. Along with the those, I picked up about a half-pound of the fresh shrimp. The fish and shrimp are in coolers and they weigh them on the spot. The nice thing is being able get them in the amount that works for you -- even by the individual shrimp or by the scallop. While there are a lot of variables that go into measuring, the slightly over half pound I received ended up at 15 shrimp. It's hard to top fresh seafood and Apex Seafood & Market makes it simple. I had called in advance to make the reservation for a birthday dinner and we had a little happy birthday sign on the table as soon as got there which was a cute gesture. The menu has a bunch of different things which I really liked. And a few cocktails and mocktail options. We got a few drinks; the Apple Jack, the Mexican herbalist, cinder & citrus, and a few basic drinks. They were pretty good. For apps, we got the fried mozzarella and the ahi tuna wontons and they were both SO good. For mains, we got the lamb shank, the chicken francese (which was the best one) and the beef medallions, which was a little sweet but was fine. For dessert, we got a few. The best was the apple galette, but the Oreo cheesecake was pretty good too. Ashley was our server and she was alright. We asked for bread and she hesitated to get us some. She told us that there might not be any left but she'll check. She ended up getting us some and informed us that that was the last of all the bread at the restaurant. It was only 8 pm but it was alright, it was enough bread, I guess. Once we got drinks, we asked for some extra lime. She got us some, and once again, informed us that that was the last of the lime in the entire restaurant. Odd commentaries that were unnecessary and seemed like a fib. Every drink came with a lime, and some dishes needed lime. Didn't seem like it was even possible to be out of limes. The commentary was unnecessary and seemed like she didn't want to serve us. Even if some of the comments were true, it was unnecessary and made it Seem like the restaurant did not have enough ingredients which isn't a good look. Towards the end she was polite and more accommodating. Food was good and the vibes were nice, the service could've been better.

We stopped by on a Sunday morning and the place was buzzing--I'm guessing many diners were coming from church. Thankfully we made a reservation because every table seemed to fill up quickly. To kick things off, we each ordered a refreshing Lone Rider wheat beer along with two appetizers. The Shoestring Okra Fries were a fun twist on a Southern classic--crispy, lightly seasoned with chili citrus seasoning, and even better dipped in the tangy lime mayo. We also shared the Artichoke Dip, which arrived bubbling hot, creamy, and perfect for spreading on the toasted bread. For brunch, we went with two very different dishes, and both were excellent. The Asparagus & Mushroom Omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor from the goat cheese and pickled onions, while the buttery biscuit with jam on the side was a nice Southern touch. The Fried Green Tomato & Bacon Benedict was the standout of the meal. Crispy fried green tomatoes, perfectly poached eggs, smoky bacon, and rich hollandaise came together beautifully without feeling overly heavy. We couldn't leave without one more treat. The Strawberry Kiwi Margarita was bright, fruity, and balanced with just enough tequila and a zesty spiced citrus rim to keep it refreshing.
