We came here on a Saturday night during parent's weekend. Thanks God we were able to find a reservation during the busiest weekend in Syracuse. They were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We really like our server. We shared the crispy cauliflower which was amazing. For my entree I ordered the salmon with mango sauce with 2 sides : broccoli and asparagus. I really enjoyed my meal so did my lady bug who ordered the mahi mahi. Please keep in mind this is a fish restaurant. I read some reviews that discussed about their lack of presentation. I did not find this at all, but if you do think presentation is lacking, you are welcome to go to a place that serves bite sized portions with beautiful presentations. I went in there today to get some lunch... I had gone for a long walk on the Erie Canal and was a bit hungry and got off it... I was in the mood for something light, first thing, the bartender brought me some bread with a dipping sauce which is really really good and the bread was. fresh and I ordered a seasonal option... Another month, another wine pairing dinner at Bonefish! This dinner was a 4 course pairing with a variety of red and white wines. The food was delicious with the only exception being the roasted potatoes which were so salty, they were truly inedible. The manager was made aware by several diners so hopefully that will be corrected. The soft lighting is always comforting. The servers worked as a team to ensure timely and temperature appropriate delivery to all dishes. The manager always parts us with a small thank you gift of a couple candies and a coupon for a complimentary bang bang shrimp. There is also raffle held for usually 3 gifts. The manager gives one to all dines with additional tickets available for purchase. The funds go towards the Bonefish foundation that helps struggling employees and/or those in need of help due to a natural disaster. This is something I order occasionally-- and I've had some excellent ham-free EB from a few venues. I was so disappointed! The english muffin was hardly toasted, the eggs were practically raw -- not poached like I've always received them in prior orders -- and so bland! Hardly any of the Hollandaise sauce. I thought this would be a seafood house. I had fish n chips. The fish were just big fish sticks with fries. My wife had chicken Marsala with mashed. The chicken was dry and we had to ask for butter. We Almost ordered another meal. Our waitress must be on her first restaurant job, too loud, I had to tell her I was ready after she walked past 3 times in a nearly empty place. She said the fish n chip was one of the most popular. I don't see it. We are in town and we May come back. I did look at Yelp from the parking lot. My bill came to $50. I ordered bourbon salmon, mashed potatoes, spinach, and a piece of coconut pie. My food sat until it was cold despite me attempting to notify them I was there to pick it up. The mashed potatoes were only edible once I drowned them in butter. The spinach is so chew I can't eat it. I have found so many bones in this piece of salmon that I am throwing it away. We were visiting the area and my friend misses Bonefish because the one near us closed. I had never been before. I ordered Chicken Marsala. The presentation was ugly, slapped on a plate with a scoop of dry mashed potatoes and a large plop of broccoli. The chicken was dry and tough as heck. I had to ask the waiter for a sharp knife to even cut it. I didn't want to ruin my friends meal so I just knawed my way through it. Had to ask for butter to moisten the dry potato. Broccoli was steamed with nothing to give them any appeal. Overall, her filet plate also looked dry and unappealing and this $30 dinner was dry and almost inedible. I would never go back. Service was ok tho waiter was out to lunch and had to be reminded to bring requested butter and did some spaced out things. Service was great. Sides were great. Fish was not. Our server was enthusiastic about many things on the menu, though she was especially effervescent about the butterfish, so we took her advice and ordered it. I'm not sure what it was supposed to taste like, but the fish we were served was either nearly spoiled or undercooked. It had a slimy texture and an "off" flavor. I did not finish the fish, as its taste was unpleasant. Given the servers positive experience with this meal, I think the problem with our fish originated in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we're unlikely to return since a seafood restaurant should be better able to select and prepare a simple fish meal. read more

We live only a mile from Bonefish Grill and do eat and have eaten here frequently over the years. The restaurant has always been impeccably clean with a warm, inviting atmosphere. With three sons, all over 6'3" tall, our family prefers to sit at the elevated tables in the bar area but the dining room was always very nice too. We've, obviously, had many different servers over the years but, by in large, the wait staff and the hostesses and hosts have almost always been very friendly, polite, and efficient. The bang bang shrimp and the fried calamari are our two "go to" appetizers and there's always plenty of warm, fresh bread, with refills, while you're awaiting your dinners. Each of us has his favorite fish entrees but we're always interested to see what's new on the "specials menu". In most cases you're welcome to substitute side dishes, which is rare in many restaurants. In full disclosure, I don't think any of our family has ever tried any of the chicken or beef dishes (we go there for seafood) so we really can't vouch for those. Although we're usually too full for dessert, the ones we've tried have been excellent. All in all, we really enjoy the Bonefish Grill and find it disappointing to see some of the less than positive reviews posted. First impressions were confusing to say the least, the restaurant seemed to be clashing in style with both fancy dining tables and decor, and also a casual bar on as you walk in. It was pretty empty inside and felt a bit eerie. The service was awkward to say the least, usually in most restaurants i go to the service treats you like a pal who's just walked in, but for Bonefish Grill it felt like we were completely disconnected as though we were two different species on Earth. There wasn't anything super egregious though, apart from one server who seemed like he really didn't care about his job and would just slam the drinks on our table then leave (he also forgot to give us straws). We also had to wait a fairly long time for our food to come out, roughly a good 50 minutes, despite there being very little people eating inside. For an appetizer I ordered the bang bang shrimp and i got fish and chips for the meal, my family member ordered a filet with rice and mashed potatoes. The shrimp was fantastic! It melted in my mouth and left me craving for more at every bite, and it had just the right amount of heat and flavor. The bread and oil we were provided was also pretty good. Our main courses were not great. The fries i got were good, but the fish was very oily and instead of a nice crispy fish i got doughy, flavorless bites. My family member's Steak was ordered as medium well, however the steak came out with a lot more pink, and when tasting it we both tasted a fishy flavor on the meat, which is cross contamination. The rice and mashed potatoes provided however, were pretty standard. Overall, we did not have a good experience for our first time here, and while there were some bright spots, I feel as though the negatives vastly outweigh the positives. The meal was also pretty expensive, especially for what you get, so i do not believe we will be returning anytime soon. read more

I have 3 words for you: Bang Bang Shrimp. I don't even like shrimp and I enjoy the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer at Bonefish. Besides the shrimp, the menu features a predictable spread of fish entrees for a seafood restaurant: salmon, sea bass, mahi, and rainbow trout. Entrees come with a choice of finishing sauce. My personal favorite is the lemon butter caper sauce. For non-seafood folks, there are steaks and chicken entrees available as well. Most of the time I will opt for the salmon or mahi and generally they are very good. On my last visit, I did get a mahi filet that was overcooked and as a result, pretty rubbery. The seasoning was still good and I made it work, but it was still disappointing. Luckily this is a rarity and most dinners I've had there are on point. The Fayetteville location is usually steadily busy on any night I've been, but they are good about getting tables ready pretty quickly for diners that are waiting. The bar drinks are good, but can be pricey. If you're in the mood for seafood in central NY, you'll do well to try the Bonefish as they have good service and good food. read more

With the demise of Bonefish in Rochester, Fayetteville is the closest open grill. We actually went to redeem Fathers Day bonus coupons that expire the end of the year. The 800# contacts were absolutely no help in allowing the use at any other Blooming Brands restaurant (Carrabbas, Outback) locally. Can't blame this on the restaurant. They are practicing very obvious COVID precautions with the booths partitioned around the periphery of the dining room, with the center being off-limits! The menu and service was familiar with Victor's location which we had frequently enjoyed. We did miss mussels, which were no longer available, but everything else was great. Be sure to call the restaurant direct for reservations since hours may change and to verify is any discounts will be valid that you may have saved during the location shutdown. read more

I absolutely love coming to the Bone Fish Grill. Their food is always so good and they have burgers for those who don't like seafood but the menu is heavily seafood which I love! I always get the bang bang shrimp for my meal. It's a huge portion so I think it would be enough if someone had for a meal on its own. They had some awesome specials like the pumpkin ravioli so I gave that a try and it was amazing! It didn't taste too overwhelming if pumpkin and the sauce was delicious as well. To end the day I split the pumpkin lava cake which was so good but very sweet so I definitely recommend sharing. The server was great! I always drink so much water at restaurants so he kept refilling my water at the perfect moments. I love the atmosphere and vibe of the bonefish as well. I brought my 3 year old and they do have a kids menu and are kid friendly which is always a plus. I absolutely will come here again and recommend this place to any seafood lover! read more

There are plenty of food options in the Fayetteville area, however this spot is great for delivery with little mouths to feed. The macaroni and cheese is delightful and always a hit. My first experience here was a birthday brunch, and the food was awesome. I'm a brunch fanatic so good food and drinks can seal the deal for me. Lately however we just order delivery for our kids when they are hungry and we don't have time to cook. They have a great menu with plenty of options. The portion sizes are a little small for the pricing but when it comes to convenience that's a small price to pay. Bread was cold & stale (however when she brought another order later on, it was warm) Soup was good. Steak & jasmine rice were just okay, definitely not hot, seemed like it had been sitting a while. The salad- now how can you mess up a salad? Well....it was wilted, no taste and nothing special.
