Definitely my favorite chain restaurant. The Lillys chicken with grilled chicken, fresh spinach and creamy goat cheese is amazing. The boom shrimp is legendary. The blackberry sangria is delicious. And the decor and ambiance is not dated and tired like alot of chain restaurants. And if you sign up for Dine Rewards you can use your points at Outback and Flemings too. AMBIANCE: After about 20 years of dining here I am closing out any prior enthusiasm for dining out here. There is simply no fine dining anywhere in Lee county Florida. None. My wife and I have been here many times, at least twice for anniversary dinners. As in the past, the corporate restaurant decision-makers happily trade loyal customers for their persistence of playing wild electronic music (or something) to accompany one's dinner. Tonight we endured something like chain-gang music , "bang, bang" called "Me and Baby Brother" by War. Have you heard this? Have you left the room? This was followed by "Celestial" by Ed Sheeran. This collision of piano keys was enough to make Jerry Lee Lewis weep. I think the player of this one chose to play only black keys, nothing else. After this anniversary dinner music, why not "Feelin" by Anoraak. This one, complete with whistling fireworks and "whoops", none of which could be understood, maybe it wasn't lyrics, just whoops. Who finds that to be dinner music? FOOD: My wife is fond of the Bang Bang shrimp. She stated it was "fine" I wanted to try their "Bourbon-glazed 16 0z. Rib eye, wood grilled and finished with a chef-crafted sweet and spicy glaze. I ordered specifically "no more than medium rare. If it doesn't look great don't brings it." The rib eye was fully medium doneness, but the waiter brought it anyway. The glaze totally masked the meat so a bite might be 100% fat or some other percent of steak and fat. Not so pleasing. This was over $37.00, not bad at all if it had been as ordered. I'd gladly pay an additional $25.00 if I could have gotten a great steak. But it's not every week I can drive to Howard Street Tampa, to be treated well at Bern's Steakhouse, one of America's very best experiences. SUMMARY: There is no fine dining in Lee county. I have been wanting to go here for years the ones located in Ohio and I finally got to go to one here in Florida with a beautiful place welcoming atmosphere beautiful linen tablecloth Bianca our server was fantastic. She was spot on with refills. Had a lovely smile and was all around. Excellent I truly enjoyed my house salad with Woodw grilled shrimp and the citrusherb vinaigrette. The homemade bread with pesto was absolutely delicious as well and you can't go wrong with their tea, refreshing and delicious. I should have known to leave the moment I walked into Bonefish Grill, and here's why. This wasn't my first time dining there. I've eaten at Bonefish several times before without any issues. The food was always decent, and the restaurant was usually busy. This time, though, something felt off from the moment we walked in. The first thing I noticed was how empty the restaurant was. There were only a handful of people dining, which immediately struck me as odd because it's normally packed. I even mentioned it to my fiancée. The restaurant also seemed unusually dark--we could barely read the menu. I ordered a martini, and as soon as it arrived, I accidentally spilled it all over myself. Right then I told my fiancée, "We should just leave." She replied, "Don't let that ruin your night." The waitress and manager came over with towels to help clean up, which I appreciated. However, with so many empty tables available, I couldn't understand why they didn't offer to move us to another table. We decided to stay and ordered our food. I started with the fried calamari, but it was extremely salty and overcooked. All I could taste was burnt batter--the calamari itself was almost nonexistent. My fiancée ordered the soup, and it was so salty that we had to send it back. Then my entrée arrived: fish with lemon butter sauce. Unfortunately, it was also overwhelmingly salty. By that point, I knew we wouldn't be coming back. We finished dinner, paid the bill, and went home. That's when things took a serious turn. Shortly after we got home, my fiancée developed severe stomach pain and started feeling very sick. About 30 minutes later, I experienced the exact same symptoms--sharp stomach pains, nausea, and intense cramping. We were both miserable. Based on the timing and the fact that we ate the same meal, we strongly believe we suffered food poisoning. Paying good money for a meal that left us both sick is completely unacceptable. I don't know if the excessive salt was being used to mask food that wasn't fresh, but something was clearly wrong. Bonefish Grill needs to do better. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, and it nearly sent me to the hospital. Needless to say, we won't be returning. read more

Our favorite bartender is Kevin and look forward to his outstanding performance every time we go there. He always makes us feel like he is very happy to see us and ofcourse we feel the same! Whenever I am traveling to a new area, I Google "Bonefish Grill", and compare reviews to other local "one off" seafood restaurants, and unless there is an outstanding choice, I enjoy the familiarity of the consistency of the housekeeping, the level of service, and the wide selection of food, making it easy to accommodate special needs of people in our party. It's the kind of place where dining solo at the bar is as enjoyable as being at a table with friends - except I just haven't met them yet. What a nice respite from our day! In town due to my MIL being in skilled nursing care. I have been contemplating this review since our March 13 visit to the Fort Meyers bonefish Grill. I thought that we have dined at Bonefish in this location on numerous occasions over the last 10 years as well as locations in Hilton head, South Carolina and Maryland. What struck me was that we never had a bad experience at Bonefish and that is quite remarkable. What also struck me was that this restaurant accepts reservations, has a constantly changing seasonal and relevant menu, has by far the most competent and professional wait staff for any chain restaurant, food that is fresh and professionally prepared, well stocked bar with good happy hour options and lovely presentation. Top all of this off with prices that I would consider very fair and I end up with a five star review that I don't give out lightly. I think the thing that most impresses me is their consistency in providing a very pleasant dining experience. Our party of four had the grilled trout, bang, bang shrimp taco meal, fish tacos, and a fillet. I did not get a picture of the fillet, but it came out just the way it was ordered. I have been stuck ordering the trout on my last three visits and I can't seem to get away from it as it is so tasty and apparently flown in from somewhere out west. Our skilled waitress did suggest I try the pan Asian sauce, which I did and it was excellent. Guess there's no hiding the fact that we reallyenjoy bonefish and it's hard to believe they are partnered with Outback Steakhouse as that is the ugly duckling of the restaurant group in my opinion. As a sidenote, the bonefish Grill on Hilton head Island closed down during Covid and has never reopened. Hard to believe since it was always busy and appeared to be very well managed. If you didn't know that Bonefish Grill is part of a chain, you'd think it's an upscale seafood restaurant standing on its own laurels. Apparently, its deliciousness is no secret, as the restaurant was packed by 6 p.m. Go ahead, make a reservation! They start you off with a crusty loaf of bread and tasty herbs & olive oil, which I used on more than the bread. There's an under-$60-for-two dinner which I would have jumped on, but T had his heart set on crabcake which wasn't included. The crabcake he said, was more crab than filling. Yay! And the steak on his combo was grilled medium rare, as requested. Double yay! My grilled trout was nicely seasoned, and equally good. A large piece, too! I like that one's choice of sides is more than the typical-for-Florida fries or slaw. I got broccoli, unfortunately somewhat overcooked, and yeah - I went with coleslaw which was light on mayo, and better than average. (Side salads, btw, are generously sized, and shareable if you're not famished.) The wine list -- important to me! -- is affordable. We got a $30 pinot noir with a twist-off top, that was great. Met with some friends at Ft Myers location. Haven't been here in a couple of years. We walked in just at as they opened. The Hostess greeted us with a big welcoming smile. The restaurant decor is quite nice. In my opinion, classy. The Bar area looks like a great Martini Bar, it just had that "pizzaz"!!! The Hostess escorted us to a booth and Kevin, our Server, showed up promptly to take our drink orders. Kevin was a nice guy and very attentive to our needs. Our group of four ordered..... the fish & chips, the Tuna Poke over rice, the Imperial stuffed fish of some sort.... forgot the actual name but our friend said it was delicious. I had the Beef & Ginger Potstickers . Fish & chips were a good size portion. The Tuna Poke had a great presentation but felt it lacked some seasoning and had too much rice. My wife and I were at Bonefish tonight for my birthday. Our service was very poor. We sat at the bar and were ignored most of the time we were there. It was a struggle to get our drinks ordered. It was a struggle to get our food ordered. The woman bartender said would get a box for our leftovers and forgot about it. The male bartender, Jordan, asked if we wanted our check and we said yes. Then he forgot about bringing it. It was not busy--the two bartenders had plenty of time to flirt with each other and to talked with the four other couples at the bar. Jordan even told the couple next to us it was important for bartenders to not only serve drinks but to spend time with patrons and talk with them. Maybe because my wife and I were younger than the other couples they thought they'd invest time in the other people. I don't know. We like the food there and that is why we chose it for my birthday. What do they do special for someone's birthday? I have no idea because they barely even talked to us. It was very lousy service. We won't be returning. read more

If you're in a rush or on a time schedule, this is not the place to go. The server was friendly but service was very slow (We were there for an early dinner on a weeknight, so it wasn't overly crowded). I ordered the Dynamite Salmon which was pretty tasty and a large enough portion to take half home. Drinks were never refilled and no one checked on us through out the meal, so I wouldn't rush back to this location. First I want to say I love this restaurant and I go there often. My food was delicious and service was good... I was a little put off when I received the bill and I knew I was being charged extra since I opted for the lobster bisque but she said I had one more side to order so I opted for a Caesar salad. At that point she should have told me that was also an up charge of $3.00 dollars for the salad, but she never said a word and when I got the bill I paid for both sides nearly 6.00, if she just made me be aware of that. I would've just gotten the lobster bisque soup which was delicious. I just think it's unfair that the staff needs to up charge their customers. I think it's terrible business in these hard times. We loved the fresh bread and oil to dip into. I was disappointed in my Fried Jumbo shrimp. A bit over cooked and a blah coating. My side of MacN Cheese rescued me tho. Awful food. Truly disappointed in the "brunch" The eggs Benedict were closed to hard boiled yolk. 3 of us sent back the Benedict for a second try. My yolk was a hard boiled ball of yolk....for the 2nd time. The whole egg from whites to inside was tough.
