We come here frequently. The food is always great and service excellent. Today we had a nice casual meal and great conversation. So much so we did not even care that the kitchen was behind. While we said nothing to the staff our waiter Christian and the manger went out of their way to make sure we were fine and wanted to compensate us for any inconvenience. The worst and most expensive mistake I've made in a while. Everything tasted frozen (I don't know whether it was or not but that's how it tasted). They used to be good, then got worse, then got good again and now literally the worst experience I've had in a long long time. The fish was okay, the soup was not good tasted old as did the broccoli and the potatoes au gratin and even their signature dish, the bang bang shrimp. Everything was limp and old and my Chilean sea bass which was the most expensive fish on the menu was maybe 4 oz. I like this Bonefish Grill -- and most others in this chain. Each is a little bit different because of the staff and a few local variations in the menu and specials, but it is part of a chain. Outback Steak and Carrabas are the most well known other restaurants owned by the same company. That being said, I like Bonefish Grill the best of the group and when I first started eating there (at the one in Fort Lauderdale) I didn't know of it's connections. This Wellington/Lake Worth one has been here for some time. We've often dined here at the bar or in the bar area in the past and I was surprised I had not done a previous yelp review. I'm a member of their dine rewards club. It's free to join and after 3 times dining out, your reward is that the next meal is 50 percent off (up to $20). You also get notices of specials and featured items emailed regularly. We came here on a rainy evening and due to Covid, the actual bar was closed, but they still had high top tables nearby. We had excellent service. They start you out with a small loaf of baked bread and an herbed dipping oil. This is good to munch on while waiting for your main entree. The current menu is not as large as it used to be. The fish choices are limited. But they had trout here on their daily specials the night we dined and I was happy to try it. The trout was pecan Parmesan crusted -- very lightly -- and had some pieces of artichoke hearts and a lemon butter sauce on top. The trout was light in texture and delicious. For my 2 sides, I chose my go to -- jasmine rice -- and their seasonal vegetable of the day which was broccoli. The broccoli was a tad overcooked. The portion of trout was so large that I took half of my fish home. My husband had their grilled salmon. It comes in two sizes and he opted for the smaller portion. He had garlic whipped potatoes as his sides (twice). He said the fish was perfectly grilled and flavorful. I'm sure we will be back again -- and to other Bonefish Grills (we've been to ones in the Tampa and Orlando areas as well). They have good happy hour drink specials, too, for those that imbibe. This location is a bit further one from my home but we started liking this location because their wait time etc was always better. We used to dine there and the service was always good. They have opened up the restaurant again ( post covid 19), but I have been continued to order delivery or pick up. They do a great job with pick up or delivery orders. Everything is nicely packed and assembled. Their must haves are the bang bang shrimp, you can request the sauce on the side but it tastes better when it's mixed in. Any fresh catch options are good. They can prepare it how you like it cooked. And it comes with sides. In desserts, their macadamia nut brownie is a must and it comes with ice cream and raspberry sauce. The Bonefish at Wellington is a great place for dine in. I have been going there for past 10 years and every time had a great experience. Moreover if anything is out of place or doesn't go well, the manager is always willing to make up for the inconvenience. This is something not every restaurant does and that is solely why I gave this restaurant a five star. The food is great and fresh, staff is always nice and friendly and place is always clean. The mashed potatoes were oh so moist and felt as if I was placing a soft seasoned cloud in my mouth. Bite after bite became more exceptional. The scallops and shrimp did not need the sides of sauces because they were cooked to perfection. I sampled multiple drinks from their craft cocktails, which is a must. We reserved a table for two last Friday at 8:00pm, the earliest they had on short notice, which was OK. We got our table at 8:15 and waited 15 minutes to be served. The server forgot our soup. Six friends celebrated 3 Birthdays last night at Bonefish . Our waiter, Scott made our evening! He had great energy - he was very pleasant, helpful, and all of his suggestions with cocktails and entrees were spot on. During these hard times with Covid, it's hard to find good employees. We were very impressed with both Scott and the manager, who brought us chocolate chip cookies with happy birthday on the plate and a candle. All entrees were served together and were very good. Some friends brought us to Bonefish Grill last night for dinner. The place was packed so I guess the food must be pretty good. We waited 15 minutes before we got our table and luckily we had a reservation. As soon as we sat down, we got our bread with a side of olive oil and Italian spices, very good bread. Our server was very friendly, we ordered our food and he suggested the fish, being in a seafood's restaurant. We ordered, the chowder,bang bang shrimps, the crab cakes, mussels, trout and I ordered the pork chop with fries. We unanimously agreed that the food was okay. My pork chop was overcooked and dry, I asked for medium but I was not, my fries were okay, personally I like shoestring fries and I don't understand why that by now all the restaurants don't serve them, they're the best! We saw our friendly server at the end of our meal, he never checked on us, except some guy who came at a certain point to see if we needed anything. The warm bread and olive oil was a great start. The service was very good as well. Now the bad. We ordered an omlette and lobster and filet benedict. The lobster was terrible--rubbery and flavorless and the quality of the steak was so low. The eggs that are supposed to be poached came out rubbery and burnt. How does this happen with a poached egg!? They were like plastic. Bacon was mostly fat and poor quality also. Omlette was tiny and lacked flavor. wow... I have got to say the manager was great. I have been places where drinks have spilled all over me and no manager came to see me. I am so shocked at what happened on 12/18/18. I was eating dinner at the high top with my father. A older couple ( husband/wife) were to our left. The older man dropped his napkin and fell. My father helped him up. Him falling was no fault on the restaurant. Even so the manager came over and gave them a free bang bang shrimp coupon and a free dessert. We eat here at least once a month, and sometimes more. Five of us had dinner there Sunday night, and everyone enjoyed their food. The service was outstanding, The restaurant was not crowded Sunday evening so it was quiet and conducive to having nice conversations within our group. Bonefish, when crowded, can be raucous, but dining there last evening was an absolute pleasure. I find the prices very reasonable - my mahi dinner was inexpensively priced. My favorite dinner there is the Bang Bang Shrimp and Corn Chowder but calories and cholesterol don't allow me to indulge in those dishes very often. It's hard these days to find quiet restaurants where one can truly communicate with one's companions. Most restaurants, and even the nicer ones, feel that they have to turn the music up to such a high decibel level, the guest can't hear each other. That must be a generational preference but not one that I understand. Parking is convenient but the parking lot can get very crowded and be difficult to navigate. We look forward to returning soon. They have a fairly large non-seafood menu, so even carnivores will find menu offerings they like. read more

It's bonefish, so I got fish. My gf and I did not have reservations but we still able to get a booth quickly. Host very friendly and welcoming. The booth wasn't too comfortable. Just seem like they just tried to cramp so many people inside. They just need more room or something. On the other hand our waitress was very nice! To start off my gf and I order the fresh pineapple Martini. Monday is Martini Monday so it was $6. The fresh pineapple Martini was soooooooooo GOOD. Most definitely fresh. The homemade vanilla bean syrup was really good too. I give it 100/10 for the Martini We also order the imperial dip as a appetizer. That was okay wasn't mind blowing or overly delicious. It was a sad day May 25th. It was my birthday and looked forward to having a nice lunch. I ordered the lump crab meat and avocado salad. I needed a search party to find the crabmeat.
