Bonefish Grill to me is like a less exciting version of Red Lobster. I live no more than 5 minutes away from here, yet I always forgot of its existence. I just never was appealed to come here until someone else wanted to. Bonefish Grill is better than what I expected. We came on a Saturday night and this place was INSANE, so keep that in mind. Like, if we wouldn't have made a reservation there would have been no point. The atmosphere is upscale. It's dimly lit and I find that nice. Our service was okay, our server did what was needed and that's enough to make me happy. It is very loud in the inside, though. The food and drinks are pretty good. I ordered a limoncello cocktail and loved it so much I had a second round. For my meal I got the shrimp tacos and they were good. I probably wouldn't be eager to pick this place over other dinner spots nearby, but it gets the job done. read more

First time trying the restaurant a few days ago. The theme and decorations of the restaurant are very very nice. When you walk in you think the food will be outstanding. Well the food is not outstanding at all. It reminds me of a Texas Roadhouse when it comes to quality of food. The food presentation is not good with most dishes. The quality of the food is not fresh at all. Most the sides feel as if they were frozen then cooked in the microwave. The steak I had was ok but all the sides were not good at all. We consistently have great service, delicious food, and zero wait time when we dine at Bonefish. They typically have coupons to help with the price, and a fantastic rewards program. One of our favorite things about Bonefish is the community table by the bar. When we visited Friday, we sat there and enjoyed conversations with the couple next to us. It allows you to be seated quickly and meet interesting folks! A must-have at Bonefish is the bang bang shrimp. It's only $6 on Wednesday. Right now they have 2 person special for $55 that comes with 2 entrees, bang bang shrimp, and a dessert. The flourless brownie is to die for! It comes out warm and practically melts in your mouth. The ice cream that's paired with it also has a creamy texture. I'd really like to make it in on a Tuesday where they have 3 course meals starting at $16. A Monday would be nice too for the $5 martinis. My favorite is the pineapple one. All in all, you'll probably get a great deal any day you go between the reward program and daily specials. Wow... what happened to the excellent service?? Went on a Friday night with no wait..seated in the lounge but this seemed to irritate the gentleman waiting on us. No specials/dessert offered/explained, dishes weren't cleared, and we had to ask other servers for items. Check wrong but we just paid it to avoid further interaction. Located off Hurstbourne Lane across from Lowes, the ambiance is dimmed lighting, white tablecloth, and attentive service. We started with appetizers: - Ahi Tuna Poke - Red onions, peppers, cucumbers, and cilantro toss and Hawaiian poke sauce. $12.50 Creamy and served with tortilla strips for dipping. - Calamari - Fried with peppers and served with sweet, spicy Asian sauce. $12.50 Not too greasy and tasty. The entrée options range from their select seafood pairings to pasta, chicken burgers, or steaks. They also offer six Woodfired Grill seafood options serve as your choice of lime tomato garlic, mango salsa, lemon butter, chimichurri, or pan Asian sauces. I selected the mahi-mahi Dorado, blackened and with the chimichurri sauce, $19.90. It was server served neither under done or overcoat but just right for me with a tangy blackened seasoning and slightly sweet and savory sauce. There are a range of side options, and I choose the whipped potatoes and French green beans, paired with a dark and fruity cabernet $11.50/glass. Dinner was delicious and entree presentation was classic. Tips - Reservations are recommended, especially for weekends. - Tables are fairly close together and entrees are geared towards seafood, therefore this may not be the best choice for families with young children. - A bar area is available for dining or cocktails with friends. When my mother in law wanted to go out for lobster on her birthday, we boycotted the other place she wanted to go. It had gone downhill dramatically in recent years and we just didn't want a rehash of overly salted, poor quality food. So we decided on Bonefish. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely nice and went out of their way for us. I do feel that they care. The problem was the quality of the food wasn't as good as it had been in the past. We began with the pot stickers which we have always loved before. The night we were there, they just didn't taste as good. I'm honestly not sure why. My mother in law enjoyed her lobster but felt her asparagus was undercooked. Honestly, that was just her opinion, as I had the asparagus also, and it was very good. Most people, (myself included) don't want their vegetables steamed into oblivion. My steak though, ordered medium rare, came out blue and cold in the middle. I could tell as soon as I put my fork in it that it was not cooked to temp. I'm not sure how they missed that. The mashed potatoes tasted fine, but looked like something you would get in a cafeteria; a perfectly round mound with some green stuff sprinkled on top. My husband's steak and lobster was good, and he said the rice was fine. Since it was her birthday, my mother in law ordered cheesecake, as did my husband. I ordered the hazelnut brownie. Neither my husband nor my mil cared for their cheesecake, but they're from New York and used to Junior's. I tried it and thought it was just ok. The brownie was also just ok; a bit undercooked to seem gooey, and lacking the flavor of the homemade brownies I sometimes make. It honestly felt that everything we were eating was straight out of a food truck, then prepared and plated to order, and made to look better than it really was. So my first time was at a Yelp Elite Event and the group that I came with to celebrate a friends birthday the second time (most recent) was superb. I would recommend coming here for the happy hour alone, the prices are great and the drinks are great too! We made a reservation for our girls night out, which was super easy. The atmosphere is very elegant with the low lit lights and candles at the table, it's great for celebrations or a date night. They have a lot of fish selections and for someone who does not eat any fish or "under the sea" types, I still couldn't decide until we were ordering between the Pork Chop or Sirloin. I chose the sirloin and it was amazing. I added the bacon mac and cheese as a side and honestly, I could just sit there and eat that until I was too full. The house white wine was very tasteful for a chardonnay. Overall, I loved my time here and our server was great. One of the managers came out and handed our birthday girl a gift of chocolates, which was super nice. We also had gift cards that they were kind enough to combine for our meal. I went online to bonefish Saturday night I ordered porkchops my boyfriend, ordered chicken marsala, and to save on delivery fees. He went to go pick it up. He brings it home and it's the wrong order so he immediately takes it back up there. I want you to know they refused to remake the correct order they told him that he had to take it up with GrubHub or DoorDash. He left the food there. We ordered from their website. The location is great. Plenty of parking. The ambience is wonderful, very relaxing and inviting. What makes the ambience so nice to me? - the warm toned decor and low lighting complement each other very well. The service is GREAT! We could not have asked for a better waitress. She was friendly, visible, timely and attentive without being too much. But...I was very disappointed in the taste of the food - presentation was also lacking. Considering I've visited their Atlanta location a few years back, I was looking forward to a great dining experience. I ordered the Mahi Mahi topped with lobster (and something else) with the garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Only the garlic mashed potatoes were well seasoned....and yes, that would be the garlic seasoning. The Creme Brûlée (vanilla) was also a disappointment. We had the Seared tuna appetizer. I would probably give that a 3 1/2 star. It is good but not as good as the original Ahi tuna. The original had sesame seeds and lightly seared! My wife had the imperial cod which had way too much blackened spices. The original recipe was much better. I had the butter fish with crab meat on top. It was the daily special. The dish was served with mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. The mashed potatoes were good but the Caesar salad had three times too much dressing on it! Ok so here is my review. Where do I start? First, the bread was barely warm and was told it was not made in house only the dipping sauce for the bread was made in-house. The crab cake was delicious as was the potatoes au-graten (did I spell that right?) anyhow, the spinach was freshly prepared, I liked that. Steak was also made to order well. Small, but made well. We've now been to Bonefish three times and it's always a great spot for date night. Our server Tiffany was fantastic. We ordered drinks to start, the red sangria and mojito. Both were generous and delicious! Each entree comes with two sides, and we were able to swap out one side for a small dinner salad. I liked the opportunity to swap! This place is actually a chain. Didn't even know it until I moved to Ohio. When I came one winter with my parents, we had made a reservation. That's your best bet for a weekend evening. We got seated in about 20-30 minutes because of it although the place stayed pretty packed the whole time. I ordered a steak medium well with a side of spinach. The spinach was bitter. Not a fan. Lisa had the regular grilled salmon dish with lemon chive sauce. I asked about the partner plate. It is a new menu item. It is bacon, blue cheese with spinach held up by a super nice piece of grilled salmon. So sue me for going with the salmon. It is head banging great. The sides are fine with special kudos for the cole slaw. It has a dressing that takes slaw from picnic to fine dining. So fresh and crunchy. Clean, nice piscene decor. Only missing is a view of the ocean from the window. I guess Lowes facade will have to do. The visit was truly worth the price. read more

This employee walked past up to greet rhe 2nd white couple and fill their water glasses. This employee never approached us to greet us or ask about our experience. We asked for the manager (Peter) and he had no answers for the actions of his hourly employee who told him she did feel comfortable to speak with us. We dined here early on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was quite busy! A popular place. The pineapple martini is one of my favorite cocktails here. It's a perfect blend of flavors that makes for a great summer drink. They were featuring a special this evening that included salad, a filet, six grilled shrimp, two sides, and dessert. Bonefish has great seafood. The service is often inconsistent but it recently got a full makeover that for some reason has improved the service! They are still somewhat slow but friendly. Enjoyed the bartenders! The new swordfish special with pumpkin ravioli is yummy. We visited recently for my daughter's birthday and had a table of 9 including 5 kids. The best part of the evening was definitely great service. And of course the bang bang shrimp. My seabass was a tad fishy as well as slippery in its consistency. My husband's grouper was a bit thick, like a steak, and not that flavorful. The kids all loved their burgers , my daughter liked her tuna, and my son-in-law had good things to say about the fish and chips. It's hard to get good seafood in Indiana, and I admit to being spoiled by living in Florida for some time, so overall I'd give Bonefish an average rating. I'd recommend the Sashimi Tuna appetizer as either a starter or a main. I will say my most recent meal was soured by our server 'Hallie S' who probably had the worst attitude, demeanor, and professional comportment I've seen in quite a while with no sense of customer service as demonstrated by rather snarky and unprofessional interactions with members of our party. So I made a reservation this time The hostess was prompt and walked us to a middle table. The wait staff are great!! When a girl isn't a fan of fish, a restaurant named Bonefish isn't a first choice. But, I was with friends and I have promised to visit more places this year. Plus, the menu dismissed any worries I had about not finding an entree beyond fish. There's LOTS to choose from: steak, chicken, pork chops, burgers and salads. We passed on appetizers but did order drinks. I had the Mojito. It's huge! Taste wise it was good but it isn't your typical flavor or sweetness. After a couple of swigs, your brain and taste buds will adjust. One will get you through the meal. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin. I'm a medium well girl (sorry red meat lovers) and it was cooked great. Still juicy even though most of the pink was cooked away. My side of garlic mashed potatoes were perfectly whipped and not overly garlic. And the coleslaw was crisp, not soggy. I never quite placed the spice but it had an Asian flair to it which I loved. Bonefish also serves bread with olive oil to your table. While we didn't order dessert, I must say the menu looked divine and tempting. An overall wonderful dining experience. This was our first time. The only real plus I could give was that I felt like I was way underdressed but that didn't limit me from being admitted into to restaurant. We arrived around 6pmish so it wasn't surprising we had to wait. We were told the stand up chairs were open seating and found an open one only to find out it wasn't THAT section. However, it didn't seem that the hostess knew that table was clear and open for seating that we probably could have been seated at that table as everyone else waiting were larger parties. We did end up catching a table in the bar area afterall that was a shared table. It wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't seated next to someone who allowed their little one to play the video on their phone loud enough for everyone around us to hear. Our server admitted that he was new. It didn't prevent me from providing my standard tip (20%+) despite the fact we had to ask for several items to start enjoying anything to eat. Food was ok. Nothing seemed to scream out to me to really savor and enjoy. Although my cod was tasty it didn't fully hit the spot and the spinach tasted something I could have made at home. Mashed potatoes are always a hit with me so those were worth the plate. Other than that, this isn't any place I will likely return to anytime soon. It basically met the "ok" list. Too bad, I was really hoping for a wow! It's a chain, yet it still would have been nice to felt like it had its own style worth returning for another visit. We go every year with my sister-in-law around the holidays because she loves the white Cosmo. Well, the drink was fabulous as usual, but the dinner was terrible. I had haddock which was dry and overcooked and way too salty. I only ate three bites. My sister-in-law and husband had grouper the waitress who had no personality came over after we ordered and told them the risotto they were out of. So they asked for a menu so they could select something else after she went to get a menu She came back and said oh they found some and we said ok. the food came out and there was no risotto. It came about two minutes later in a bowl, that was so odd. They should've waited till they could've put it on the dish with the small piece of burnt grouper lol. Anyway, the restaurant was fairly empty and now I'm wondering has the service gone downhill? Has the food gone downhill? We have never had an experience like this at bonefish. We went to dinner for a birthday and it was amazing!! The restaurant was very clean. Our server was externally friendly and attentive. The vibe in the restaurant was both elegant and relaxing. We had kids with us when we went but it also seemed like a great date night spot. The food was so delicious. I ordered shrimp pasta and it was very good. The drinks from the bar were very well made too but did seem to take a while to come to the table. The presentation was nice though. I would have to say that overall it was a very good experience. I would definitely love to go back and I would recommend this restaurant. I think next time I will have to try some dessert, because this time I filled up on too much yummy food and forgot to leave room. read more
