Tried the Chicken linguine and it was good. Enjoyed the fried shrimp sandwich with a pickle and orange sauce dripped over it very good tasty. They also introduced a Derby grilled shrimp special with this this awesome pineapple salsa with different flavors delicious. Enjoyed cosmos. The service is Always great. Ambiance Nice.

this was my first time here. we thought it was excellent. first, we got the cheesesticks and they were huge. then, we got the crab ragoon hush puppies. they were excellent. we all ordered the fish and chips. the fish is hake which is a mild flavored white fish which resembles cod. the fries and onion rings were both good. my son got the linguine with lemon butter and capers. we all tasted it and thought it was fantastic. for dessert we got the Nutella ice cream pastry dish which was superb. our waiter, John, did a great job. we met the owner and was a pleasure to talk to. they give a military discount. the side salad was good.

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the Cap Cod Shrimp Roll but it was fantastic. I didn't get a picture because I ate it too fast. We went on a Tuesday during happy hour and the service was fast. It's a really cute place with indoor and outdoor dining. We got both desserts and loved them both.

We came here with a small group after thurby. It was perfect! Service was amazing, I can't remember our waitress' name but she was very sweet. Food was delicious!!! Onion rings and fries were to die for. Whole group was happy with their entree. Street parking.

So we waited like a month since it open to let it work out their kinks and I will say everything was fantastic when we checked it out. It's amazing to have a nice seafood restaurant in the Germantown neighborhood and I can see patrons coming in from all over to check it out. Service was prompt and timely in terms of spacing out drinks, apps and entree. I am sure the pictures speak for themselves. I have visited them twice an both times wonderful. Once was for happy hour when it was less hectic and the second time it was at the peak dinner traffic. It could get really loud in the restaurant when it's busy but I would take loud over lingering seafood smell. That's the nice thing about the place .. don't smell like raw seafood. I would highly recommend to give it a try and support local joint.

Frannys was great, I really enjoyed it! I love raw oysters, & their slush condiments were refreshing!! I also ordered salmon & Lima beans which I was a bit taken aback but honestly finished my entire plate!

We stopped by Franny's for happy hour during the holidays! It's an incredibly welcoming atmosphere, with tall ceiling and brightly lit interior. We arrived around 4:15 pm during the weekday, we were immediately greeted and asked if we had reservations, which we did not. Fortunately, we were seated at a nearby two seater. Service was fast and friendly! Server went over happy hour menu and made a few suggestions. They have a great happy hour - $5 martinis and cosmos with a few appetizers including mozzarella sticks and oysters. Drinks and food came out fast - bar was packed and parties continued arriving while we dined there. Mozzarella sticks were fresh and homemade, three came in an order for $7. The owner came around and chatted with us - as the evening progressed, lights dimmed and it became more of an evening vibe. We'll be back!

What a lovely addition to Louisville! Came here with a friend on a Friday evening to enjoy dinner and their happy hour. I ordered the cosmo to drink and it was so delicious!! We got the oysters and mozzarella sticks from the happy hour menu and loved them both. I got the shrimp basket, a bit on the expensive side but it was really good! And you get a nice decent portion. My friend got the fish and chips and she stated they were yummy. The staff was warm and explained everything to us. Very knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was very busy but it is lent. Not sure if that is why it was jam packed. I do recommend reservations. All in all will definitely be back and will recommend. Could be for family, date night or dinner with friends.

I'm having a tough time judging this place. The quality of the fish seemed very good and the service was wonderful. However... Fish and chips: the fish was so lightly breaded that it wasn't really crispy at all and when they played it half of it got soggy. The fries it was served with were bad. No seasoning, and not crispy. Fried fish sandwich: almost the same notes. The fish was so lightly breaded that it wasn't crispy at all. The bread was good however. I ordered a glass of bubbly and it was served at room temperature. Bleh. The ambiance was very clean, seaside, east coast. Seemed casual and family friendly I will be going back to try the clam chowder and oyster happy hour.

My husband and I came here for our first time tonight. We were impressed! The hush puppies were absolutely delicious and we loved our meal. The service was great as well.

Fantastic drinks, amazing seafood, and some of the best oysters around. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the bartender made the night memorable with excellent service and creative cocktails. Pomegranate cosmopolitan and Grapefruit Manhattan were amazing. Ambiance was perfect. Comfortable seating, lighting was amazing. It wasn't too loud. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

However, the older man at the cash register (perhaps the…read moreowner?) overcharged me for everything, and when I pointed it out to him (at first I thought it must be an accident), he threw dollar bills at me while hollering that he knows how to run a restaurant. Well, maybe that's true because most restaurants fail and this one has been around for a while, but maybe it's because they're overcharging their customers instead of increasing their prices on the menu, and hoping the customers don't notice. I've never been so nickeled and dimed at a restaurant! I was so insulted that I handed his few dollar bills back to him and said I just wanted him to be transparent about what he was going to charge me, before he charged me! I asked for a Tilapia sandwich (menu price $8.95) and a Haddock sandwich combo (menu price $13.95 for the sandwich + cole slaw + fries). I asked if the sandwich came with anything on it, and he said no, but he could add pickle slices. He didn't tell me about an upcharge. I asked if I could substitute the fries in the combo for fried mushrooms. He said yes, but there would be a slight difference in price. I said that would be fine because the side items showed it was only a $0.45 difference in price (on the menu, french fries are $3.50 and fried mushrooms are $3.95). I asked if I could pay with credit card, and he said yes, but didn't mention a card fee. What I thought I would be charged: $8.95 + $13.95 + $0.45 = $23.35 + 6% tax = $24.71 total. Instead I was charged $30. When I asked him about it he said there was a $1 credit card fee that he had neglected to tell me about prior, and that instead of charging me for the difference between the price of the fries and mushrooms, he rang each item up separately instead of ringing it up as a combo (first of all, why would he do that??? and second of all, why wouldn't he tell me he was going to do that???). Then he told me he also charged me for the 5 skinny quarter-sized slices of bright green pickles you get from the jar. When I said, "you charged me for pickles?" He said, "of course I charged you for pickles!" So he charged me $8.95 tilapia sandwich + $9.95 haddock sandwich + $2.50 cole slaw + $3.95 mushrooms + $2.00 pickles (TWO DOLLARS FOR 5 SKINNY QUARTER SIZED PICKLE SLICES) + 6% tax + $1 credit card fee = $29.99 (AND OF COURSE HE DIDN'T GIVE ME THE PENNY NOR ASK IF I WANTED TO KEEP THE PENNY; HE KEPT THE PENNY FOR HIMSELF AND CHARGED ME THIRTY WHOLE DOLLARS FOR A $24.71 MEAL).Which isn't a big difference, but in this economy, adds up, and the LEAST they can do is be TRANSPARENT ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE GONNA CHARGE YOU. AND THEN WHEN YOU NOTICE THE DISCREPANCY AND KINDLY & CALMLY ASK IF THEY MADE A MISTAKE, THEY SHOULDN'T GET DEFENSIVE, RAISE THEIR VOICE AT YOU, AND THROW DOLLARS AT YOU IN FRONT OF A LINE OF CUSTOMERS. This was my first time here and I was excited to go back and try everything else. Instead, I'm never going back and I'm telling everyone I know.

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.

Menu isn't extensive but good items and variety that will satisfy anyone's appetite. It was Father's Day but as soon as it opened they were quickly filled with patrons and people kept coming; even waiting to get in. The fries in duck fat were awesome. Since so many baskets of fries like this for a long time. The smoked wings are great, meaty and savory. I had the pork belly tacos; my only disappointment was you only get 2 per order. The fine combination of ingredients were splendid and the pork belly so tender. My wife had the bbq pork sandwich on pretzel bun. Very good tasting and this was with no bbq sauce on it. If you're in the area, do yourself a a favor and stop in. I can't wait to go back ( as we live in southern Indiana) so might be a bit but definitely want to try a few other items.

As we parked we noticed people coming in and going with several looking like carry outs. When we entered there was a big board with the menu items in nice sized print. Obviously being first time we had to digest the options. Meanwhile many carbon and picked up carry outs. The dinging area is small but quite adequate and during nice weather you can sit outside as well! The host/order taker was very helpful; her main choice by popularity was the double filet cod sandwich. She said that's what they sell the most of so we took one of those with side of fries for my wife. I spotted the catfish and asked about that. Another patron heard me and said it was definitely was good just not as big as the cod but still plentiful - so I went for it with cup calm chowder. She said mine came with 2 sides so gave me the fries and discounted my chowder to make it more economical; she looked out for us by adding some value. That also went a long way for us as seniors. We ordered a beer each, limited offering of beer but sufficed. We sat down and waited our number to be called. Meanwhile people kept coming in and picking up to go orders. We did strike up conversations with other patrons about our age and they said stopping here is a routine Friday stop. We were impressed with the through put of customers while we were there. Didn't take long for our number to be called. Picked up the order; everything was fresh and hot, all types of condiments were present. My catfish was very tasty, most like pond raised, but had a very good taste. The filet was a nice portion, it made 2 sandwiches for me plus the chowder filled me up. My wife's cod was 2 nicely portioned filets. 1 filled her up so some take home. Fries were good as well, hot and crispy. Obviously we are real close to this location but when back in Louisville and looking for fish/seafood and other items as well; we while be back. Staff and owner were also nice and checked in with everyone dining in. Definitely try this place.
