The food was great but I have one complaint how in the hell can you not have sweet tea? You do know you are in the south right.?

Our server spilled oil all over me ruining my pants and once it was brought to her (Kelly H) attention, she just disappeared. We had to ask the manager to bring our drinks. The manager offered a free dessert because of the spill. Here's the kicker, we received our bill and the dessert wasn't free. We didn't bring it up, just paid and left. Horrible service. Food came out sporadically and the last person in our party waited 5 minutes for his food. There were only 6 of us so it wasn't a large party. Dinner out last night with the Tuesday specials was very reasonable cost, I had the scallop and shrimp entree with 2 sides, all very good. DH had the mussels starter as an entree, which makes a great selection if you aren't quite as hungry, the bread with the mussel broth is so tasty, and with the herbed oil is just fantastic. We finished with desserts, the key lime pie for him and the brownie for me, mine came with ice cream on the side and whipped cream on top, very rich. The food all was in line with a 4 star review but the service was extremely slow, our waiter appeared to be covering mostly tables in the bar area and he would disappear and not be seen for extended times. My dessert brownie was very under-baked and was served on a plate hot from the dishwasher so by the time I got it the ice cream was fairly melted; DH's coffee was refilled but cold by the time his pie arrived. My husband and I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago on a Friday evening. Although the food was good & waiter Daniel friendly and very attentive, the two hosts upon entry to the restaurant were rude. After an online survey where I pointed out my dissatisfaction with the two hosts, the Manager emailed me, said he would call to talk further and never called. Very disappointing. There are dozens of other restaurants to choose from & spend my hard earned money, where hosts/waiters treat you with the respect you deserve. read more

I've always said management has alot to do with the food at ANY restaurant and it is with big regret that I must inform you that this Bonefish has a new management crew and the food is not the exceptional stuff it use to be. I really begrudge the amount of money that they charge when the food is so bad and they keep the air so cold that you can't finish your meal before it's also cold. Have to say that was my last trip to this Bonefish. Guess they're keeping it cold so you'll hurry up and eat then go so they can get someone else in there. It's really a shame now I'll have to go all the way to the beach and hit Tautog's for really good seafood. read more

Good seafood, as to be expected. The Happy Hour crowd seating is very loud and impersonal. Great place to socialize if you want everyone sitting 4 seats next to you listening to your conversation. Good place to meet singles that are 50+. Not my scene, but good seafood. Beware, floors by bathrooms are super slick. So many women I know have busted their ass going to the restroom if wearing work shoes. read more

We always enjoy Bonefish but tonight we were disappointed to say the least. We arrived and decided to eat at a table in the bar. We should have rethought our decision after we waited for someone to clean our table. We waited at least 45 mins for our dinner after ordering. When we finally received our meal, one had cold scallops and the veggies were under cooked. The manager apologized and presented a couple of coupons. We will give them another try as enjoy this restaurant a lot. We are just noticing some issues and hope they get things turned around. read more

We went Friday- a party of 5 we had made reservations. We always have to wait a bit even with reservations which is annoying to me but this time it was only a 5 minute wait. Our server, Michael was amazing. I had mentioned a special that I got and loved that was no longer on the menu- he offered to see if the kitchen could prepared it for me. They obliged and I was so thrilled. He was prompt, offered suggestions and made the experience that much better. I prefer this location to short pump- it's worth the extra drive. read more

I come here a lot and I usually leave more than pleased with everything which is why I didn't rate it one star. Based on this experience, however, I would give negative stars. My server Michele was nice as can be and I don't blame her for anything. I ordered a medium rare sirloin steak but what came out was raw and definitely rare, not medium rare. I tried to eat it because I have worked in food before and no one likes a complainer but I just couldn't do it. Once it was time for the bill, I said something to Michele about it and she happily got the manager, Jesse. This is where the problem comes in. I realize that mistakes happen but a sour and bitter attitude doesn't sit well with me. Jesse offered to put my piece of steak on the grill as we were leaving and everything else was eaten off our plates. When I said I did not want it put back on the grill she said oh well, you should have said something sooner. There were no alternative options offered as we didn't want to wait for another steak. As a frequent customer who has worked and managed in food I think it could have been handled a lot better. Even if she just pretended she cared would have helped. Unsatisfied with that encounter, I then asked Michele if there were any other managers there I could speak to. Kennedy from the kitchen came out and was so pleasant and a lot nicer to talk to. She resolved the problem 100% and acted like she actually cared and listened. She gave me a coupon for a free app and a free dessert when I come back next time which was very much appreciated. I can't say enough positive things about Kennedy. A nice attitude goes a long way so props to her. Jesse on the other hand needs to be coached on how to handle customer complaints ASAP. read more

We went on a Wednesday night and between walking in and out it was about 2 hours. They have a happy hour special on Wed that appears to pack the place. This also caused the limited parking to be maxed out. Due to the over-crowding, service was slow but the waitress kept up as well as she could and the food was tasty and hot. We went to Bonefish to celebrate our 24 year first meet. We have been there several times in the past but this one was a disappointment. To begin with, we were surprised to find heavy brown paper covering our tablecloth. How backwoods! This is totally unexpected in such a restaurant. As always, the bang, bang shrimp was good but too much sauce. The drinks were okay but 3 olives in 1 martini was overkill. My husband had Ocean Trout that was smothered in lemon butter that made it too oily to eat. He left half his meal on the plate. I had the special - Lobster Thermidor Mahi Mahi with Florida Rock Shrimp - that was okay but definitely not special. The 2 lobster pieces were about pecan size and the 4 shrimp looked more like popcorn. Overall, we were disappointed. We will be looking for a restaurant that uses a tablecloth as it is intended. Or cooking at home is always pretty good at our house. read more

Not bad for a chain. The on Midlothian is one of the better ones. However, the clientele has definitely gone down since 2007. You will see baseball caps regularly now. Use to be no lower than business casual. However, every restaurant has seen its clientele decline since 2007. Famous for its bang bang shrimp and you cannot go wrong with any of the fish. However, the steaks are nothing to be ashamed of either. Great for happy hour or just dessert as well. read more
