Should've known when walking into front door that our experience wasn't going to be ideal! Kitchen staff was sitting in the lawn furniture meant for guests smoking cigarettes. Once inside (restaurant had maybe 10 customers), each time the front door opened the smoke from the employees would rush into the dining area. We had a table of 5. Had to flag down our server after waiting 15-20 minutes for anyone to take our dinner orders. Three of the five had ordered the $39 filet. Each of us ordered our filets to be cooked Medium. All three of the steaks were cooked well done with NO pink or red showing. The others at our table had finished with their meal long before our steaks returned to the table! Had to flag down a manager to let her know about the kitchen mistakes! Offered a free dessert. Declined the free dessert due to sitting at the table for 2 hours 10 minutes. We were ready to leave. For the price paid for the filets, I expect it to come out right the first time and a for it to be choice cut steak, which it was not. I was only able to swallow down 1/2 of it with the help of sweat tea.. Not the Bonefish reputation I am used to in other locations! Terrible experience from service to food. read more

Placed an online order for pick up. Some of the ordered items required you to pick two side but only offered additional charge sides and would not let you not pick any. Then an additional charge side was not included with the order. When we called to have the one item refunded they kept hanging up on us. If I could give no stars I would. A complete disaster from start to finish. Let's start with having to walk through the smokers sitting at the front door entrance. This is the only restaurant in town that allows that .The server we wanted, Chris, we were told he was cut and then saw him serving multiple tables that came in after us. Our server seemed fine, the guy who brought out the drinks, bread etc was totally a train wreck almost spilling the drinks on my daughter only to find out they were the wrong drinks too. Bread was good and bang bang app was good as normal. Other than that, every meal was screwed up in some way except one kids meal. I ordered one of "summer specials" DYNAMITE SALMON which according to the menu should come as wood-grilled Atlantic salmon, with a creamy spinach, mushrooms, and lump crab dynamite topping. It shows up with maybe a teaspoon of spinach it was not creamy at all; more like a few shreds of spinach, no crab in sight and maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of mushrooms with broccoli and rice. By the time the server showed back up to see how the food was it was 14 mins later. He could not explain why I had broccoli and rice that I never ordered and was like well maybe they were out of something... Like what! Our other dish was grilled fish that was so over cooked you just could not choke it down cause we did not have enough drink. At that point, I just sent it back and we called it a never again. Oh and no manager ever showed up to do service recovery. They will be like Red Lobster and a dying brand if they keep this type of experience as the norm. read more

Decided on an espresso martini (very good) and two appetizers beef potstickers and the usually reliable bang bang shrimp. Potstickers inedible and sent back. Mushy texture, weird white fibers/hairs in the bite I took. Bang bang shrimp chewy but edible. I guess that sauce would make anything taste good. Service was great, felt bad for the waiter dealing with the kitchen and lack of supplies. Waiter also made our espresso martini so 5 stars for him. Environment is dark, seems like they are trying to maintain some level of classic, modern dining but it fails when the food is so bad. read more

It was our first time here visiting Pensacola for our family reunion. It was late getting to the restaurant because of our delayed arrival at the airport. The server we received was exceptionally nice and pleasant...perhaps we were the only table left before closing in 40 minutes left. We sampled some drinks before purchasing...and quite frankly that was quite a treat! 2 out of 4 dishes we selected were below average, but it wasn't horrible. The ambiance of this place was cheerful and uplifting, friendly and inviting. Would definitely return the next time we are in town and request the same server because he was very outstanding! Food is awful!! I ordered the Brussels sprout salad with grilled chicken. The chicken tasted like a dirty grill and it was served over a cheap bagged salad either lots of the tough fibrous stalks chopped up in it. There were no discernible Brussels sprouts or macadamia nuts. The dressing was sparse. When I sent it back I was told by the server I was the first person to have ever complained about it and instead of asking if I would like to order anything else they just took the chicken off the tab and charged me for a salad I didn't eat. There are too many other restaurants to choose from with better food and the response to my dissatisfaction was not appropriate. We had already ordered an appetizer and each of us had 2 cocktails so it's not like I was seeking free food. My friend ordered the tuna poke bowl and she said hers was bad too. I have been a fan of Pensacola's Bonefish Grill since it opened. No more. Prices have always been high, but they offered several discounts to take out the sting. They had happy hour prices on a good selection of wines. They also offered an AARP senior discount that you had to specifically request. It seems that Bonefish has changed their business model from customer service to corporate greed. We were a party of 6. We won't be back. The only red wine they had on happy hour prices was a pinot. No merlot or cabernet sauvignon. 3 of us ordered full priced wines but only 2 were initially delivered to our table. The bar person who brought them had no clue which was Malbec or cabernet. I requested the senior discount, but we were all charged full price. I should have requested it a second time, but forgot to follow up. Food & service used to be consistently good. The Caesar salad had so much dressing on it, it was more like a soup than a salad. Their broccoli used to be served al dente, but ours was over cooked. The scallop special & trout entrée were excellent, though. Our server was good. No manager ever stopped by to check with us. 9 months ago I gave them a 5 star review, but this visit was a huge disappoinment. read more

THE SERVICE On 2/14/22 I visited Bonefish Grill as a first timer and I was excited to try the customer "favorites" that were listed on the menu. Now this was Valentine's Day so I understand that it can get hectic, but to see your server only twice, once to initially take our order and the final time to get the bill after I had to have the front receptionist to find them was unacceptable. I felt as if I wasn't of importance to at least stop by and check to see if I needed anything additional or if everything was okay. This brought their rating down to 4/5 THE FOOD I got the "Bang Bang Shrimp" as an appetizer and although the presentation was nice, it lacked that sweet meets spicy kick of goodness. It had more of the bland spicy mayo taste which I wasn't crazy over. However I didn't let that get me down, because I knew the entree would save the day and unfortunately I was let down yet again. I ordered the "Cod Imperial" which was supposed to be stuffed with a blend of seafood, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, topped with lemon-caper butter. It had everything EXCEPT the stuffed seafood inside. Instead I was served fish stuffed with just the cheeses and I was devastated. So based on the accuracy of the food, the taste and price, this brought the rating down again to a final rating of 2/5. I would have given my experience a 1 but that "Crushed Pineapple Martini" saved the day. It was decent, but for the price you pay, the experience was lack-luster. The revolving door entrance opens up right to the end of a long table in the bar area. This creates a bottle-neck trying to get into the restaurant. The bar itself was relatively busy, but the restaurant side was almost empty (maybe 3 tables and a private party in the separate room). When my fiancé and I went to the host, we were told it would be a 5-10 minute wait since they only had one server available, and they were waiting on someone to come back from break, little odd, but ok. We decided to grab a drink at the bar and he said he would come get us when the other server is back. Went to the bar, it was great, no complaints. Good drinks, good service, but the host never came to let us know we could be seated. After about 20 minutes, I walked over and asked if we could be seated, since I started seeing other parties that arrived after us get a table. We get seated, and asked for glasses of water. The water tasted like straight up unfiltered tap water. I grew up drinking out of a garden hose, but this was unbearable when it came to drinking. I told the server, and asked if there was any other water, and was a little put back when her reply was "no one has ever complained about the water". She gave us complimentary iced tea to make up for it. The food was really good, minus the steak being kind of bland, and a medium steak being served borderline rare/medium rare. Very disappointing experience. Came in for dinner and sat at the bar is my habit when traveling for work. Started out ok. Server was pleasant and was prompt. Ordered a drink and the bam bam shrimp appetizer to start and reviewed the menu. The server returned to take my entree order which I made. The appetizer arrived shortly after which was prepared well. Not more than 5 minutes later another server appears to drop my entree in front of me. So, forced to abandon my appetizer or eat a cold entree I moved to my entree which was adequate. The absolute biggest turn off about visiting this restaurant was the constant stream of yells, hoots, hollers, and profanity coming from the kitchen. The employees and their multitude of friends had no consideration for those trying to enjoy their meal and the management seemed to be oblivious to this and must have considered it acceptable. Bonefish is not a sports bar or a fast food establishment. For the price being paid to dine there I expect so much more. If I wanted a Hooters or McDonalds experience I would have gone there for a significantly smaller price tag. You can do better, Bonefish Grill, Pensacola. So much better. read more

The grilled chicken was very well seasoned, the Cajun chicken pasta was very good it could use more sauce in it was kind of dry but over all great flavor. The fried shrimp were very flavor full but there was a bunch of piece that taste like nothing big grease. The 5 stars is for how they handled the situation. We ordered through door dash. The ordered arrived at our house and was not even close to what we ordered. I called the restaurant and spoke to Chase. He was new but ensured me they would make it right. A few minutes later the manager was at my front door with the corrected order and $50 in coupon cards towards my next order for the inconvenience. After a long day with a family of 4 we just want to order dinner and not think to much about it. When it arrived wrong it made a stressful day more stressful. The management team handled it like champs. Although there may be a problem with the quality assurance side of checking orders before they go out there's no problem with knowing how to correct an error the right way. The food is always great! The service was poor. After the waitress greeted us, we didn't get any bread while the waiter serving the table next to us and another booth brought bread to them. As a matter of fact, the booth couple sat down after us and had 2 rounds of bread before we got our salad. They also had a carefe of water for refilling. We began with Bang Bang shrimp and thought the Bang Bang shrimp was, slightly spicy, with a wonderful sauce. Our party of three thought it was an excellent appetizer. Our entrees included talapia, schrimp and scollop's and a Chilean sea bass. The talapia and sea bass were both excellent, but the shrimp arrived too coo It was replaced promptly with a hot plate. The service was excellent our waitress attentive. The spinach side was underwhelming but the other side dishes, including the Jasmine rice were very good.
