This was my first time trying crawfish here, and I have to say it was absolutely amazing. I always thought crawfish could only be eaten with Cajun sauce and that it was quite dry, becoming too salty the next day, but at Pho Penscola they suggested I try their signature sauce - Garlic Butter - and it was a fantastic combination lol. As someone who likes spicy food, I really appreciated the spiciness of this restaurant; you can request non-spicy or medium spicy if you like. This is the 3 lbs I ordered, and I have to admit this is the best Vietnamese restaurant selling crawfish in Pensacola. I will definitely be back next time. read more

My 8-year-old son chose pho for his birthday lunch. I said okay, you get to pick the place. This is the place he picked mostly because they have awesome milk teas. The restaurant is nice, but it kind of has an identity crisis of sorts. It was certainly some American type restaurant in the past, and you can still see it. You can also however see the Asian flair. Most importantly, it's clean and comfortable. Personally, I think their pho beef broth is delicious. The milk teas are, too. What kind of keeps me from rating this place with five stars is the pricing. It cost more than $100 for four bowls of pho and three milk teas. No starters, no desserts, just pho and drinks. This restaurant came highly recommended by some locals we have become acquainted with. We decided to pay Pho Pensacola a visit to find out if the place is really that good. Well... signage outside the store says they offer sushi. Their online menu has lots of sushi rolls on the menu. When you get seated and receive a menu you learn they no longer serve sushi. So some of the kids were disappointed. We ordered grilled pork spring rolls, which I wasn't very pleased with, and rare steak pho. The pho broth was good. The food came out pretty quickly, and whenever we requested something it was provided in short order. The dining room is spacious and nicely decorated. The service is pretty good. This place has what I call the "freshness factor", especially in their boba REAL fruit smoothies but really everything had an extra flavor zing I didn't expect. Lots of good comfort food here. I had an awesome experience a year ago too, and even though they don't serve sushi anymore they've perfected their pho focus. My husband wanted me to write that the Vietnamese beef stew was especially "stew-pedenous", he drank every drop of the broth. He also loved his mango smoothie! All of their choices were pretty authentic and I enjoyed their menu. Pho was just as good as their rice plates. I have to recommend their Bo Luc Lac. For me it was a good 8/10. Their appetizers were pretty generic, but still overall good! Didn't get to try their boba, but their Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese Coffee) was pretty good! First time trying this place, here's my verdict. The place is clean and decorated in their traditional, cultural decor along with the music, one would imagine they're dining at home. With old style moped, tv and a traditional menu to go along. They do offer Cajun, sushi bar as well as fries. Something for everyone and for all ages. I went with vermicelli grilled pork, pho, fried shrimp with fries basket, 2 sides of spring rolls (that's how I roll, pun intended ) and a fresh Durian bubble tea. Food didn't take too long, spring rolls were steaming hot and my customized bubbletea came out perfect to my demands. Also, first place in Pensacola I like, definitely hit the spot in my search for a good fresh fruits bubble tea journey. Presentation was nice, good service and competitive price to another Asian restaurant Tu Do which was my go to until this place. Pho was very aromatic and bold, in both taste and smell as if it's been simmering all day waiting for that customer who's going to rate them on a Gordon Ramsey level (harsh and honest). The spring rolls were crispy and none greasy (the way it should be but believe you me, not all places satisfy the same way). All in all, my go to (Tu Do restaurant I've been going to for over a year now) had been dethroned and I'm rating this place 8 out of 10 (and I'm very critica). Ample parking with a nice, serene and storytelling water fountain as from a scene of an old folk tale with koi fishes, water falls and people fishing like in the olden days. Keeps kids entertained for 5 mins, guaranteed ! Went back second time and got videos of the food to show and tell. By far the best Viet restaurant that I've tried in Pensacola. When visiting my parents, this was one of their top recommendations for food in general. Everything here is great, you can't go wrong no matter what you pick! Great selection; their menu is /huge/ with a wide variety of food. From their pho and other Viet dishes to seafood boils to even sushi, it's all wonderful and the number of choices is great for when the group can't agree on what to get. The food and service have always been good since the change of management from Seafood Station to Pho Pensacola. I have already been here three times since it became Pho Pensacola. Like other guests, I was a bit confused with the exterior of the restaurant. The sign off the street says Seafood Station, but there is a banner above the entrance that says Pho Pensacola. We came in and were seated after a few minutes of waiting. The dining area is fairly large so you can easily come in with a large group. I'm fairly new to the area, so I can't definitively say this is the best bun bo hue in Pensacola. However, I can say that Pho Pensacola serves an extremely flavorful bowl of bun bo hue and it may as well be the best one in the city! We stopped yesterday at Pho Pensacola because it was the last Pho restaurant in Pensacola that we haven't tried. Well very disappointed so do not waste your money at this restaurant. FIRST: we ordered appetizers spring rolls with tofu and fried pork egg rolls. It came out spring rolls with tofu and spring rolls with pork ... which we didn't order. I said to my husband return it as it wasn't what you ordered, but he said that is ok, he can try it SECOND: we ordered Pho with meat balls and brisket and Stir fried noodles with vegetables and tofu WITHOUT ONIONS AND GARLIC as I am vegetarian and can't eat onions and garlic. I spoke to the waiter in English and VIETNAMESE. My noodles came out WITH ONIONS AND GARLIC. I could have them re-do my noodles as that is the 2nd time the food came out wrong. But I thought I shouldn't waste the food, so I fished out all the onions and garlic and kept my noodles THIRD: we also ordered a grilled pork sandwich (bánh mì thịt nướng) for to go. He didn't even make the sandwich and CHARGED on the bill. We asked him about it and told him that we didn't want the sandwich anymore, then he took off from the bill. Note: we came in around 3:00PM and there were only 2 other customers there and us. So the restaurant wasn't busy and I also spoke vietnamese to them. How wrong should things happen? Was in town and wanted some Pho. We were a bit thrown off when we pulled up to the location and thought we had the wrong restaurant! The outside looks like a seafood boil restaurant, but then the sign let's you know you made it to Pho Pensacola I was very happy with the service we got, everyone was very nice and accommodating. They have a boba/tea menu filled with many options. I had no idea what to order and our server recommended the kumquat tea. I got that, and I ended up also getting their Pho Special. The serving size was generous and I was more than full afterwards. The kumquat tea... was... amazing. Perfectly citrusy, sweet, yet tangy and slightly tart. It paired very well with a bowl of Pho in my opinion. I'd definitely come back just for that tea! The Pho was great as well. Overall, I really enjoyed this place. My second and last time here during my Florida trip. If it weren't for the free egg roll, I don't think I would've been so inclined to return this second time around. I ordered the smoked salmon and Hawaiian rolls. It took about 20 minutes for them to make, with two other parties seated at the time. The smoked salmon was room temperature, which made the sushi extremely unappealing. The end pieces were also.. not filled, which is very uncommon in my experience. The Hawaiian roll had a good concept to it, but the pieces directly under the fruit salsa were overly saturated by the juices of the fruit. If you like fresh fruit on sushi, I would imagine their golden dragon roll would do the trick. This roll was just over-the-top and again, there was a lack of freshness with the raw fish. The sushi and egg roll would rate a 2.5. The Thai tea, spring rolls, and banh mi would rate a 4. Pricing is high for certain items that truly aren't worth it. I haven't found a decent Vietnamese/Japanese place in the area yet, but I will not be returning here. read more

I was so impressed with this place -- it may not look super fancy from the outside (and we showed up at 1:30, so the place was really empty at first), but the sushi was honestly incredible. We tried half a dozen rolls, all of which were fresh, delicious, and surprisingly (awesomely) affordable. The only frustration was the wait. We showed up and were the only ones in the restaurant for 30ish minutes so we figured we'd receive our food fairly quickly -- two other couples followed us in the next hour, and both received their full meals before we'd even received one roll. That wasn't a big enough deal to not make me come back, but rather is just a note for the management.
