    Crab Cakes
    Lorine M.

Made a reservation and was seated quickly. It was mid week and did not look busy so not sure how much a recommendation it would be to have one prior. Inside is clean but feels very dated with old booth style seating and tables with chairs. Service was attentive. Crab cakes were ok, they were drowning in sauce, which if I had known it would be covered in sauce I would ask for it on the side. I like to choose my own adventure with sauce application. The crab was ok, lots of flake with some visible lumps but most were broken up with a little too much filler. I had the surf and turf and husband had the salmon. So long story short everything had a gravy/sauce on it. The salmon was ok and the sauce (which was expected) the sauce had no actual taste of plum or mango so not sure what happened there. The rice has no flavor at all. The surf and turf....the steak was served rare and perfect but had a blob of gravy and a single sliced mushroom on it. The two scallops and two shrimp were swimming in a cream sauce/gravy. I looked back at my pictures of the menu and nowhere does it mention this as part of the dish. The chocolate cake was nice but no "lava" was seen. The cake was very hot and literally steaming we cut into it which made me pause...there is no fresh baked cake that would come out like this. Felt and tasted like it could have been a microwave cake. If it were not for the ice cream this cake would have been just a ok "baked lava" cake. Overall the experience everything was cooked to temperature but bland and like I said drowning in gravy and was a very ho-hum.

Had the opportunity to try brunch while in town one Sunday! We were seated immediately and service was fast and efficient. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were delicious! Would definitely come back to order them again.

It isn't really Irish, except for the green sign welcoming you to O'Brian's out front, and of course the famous Ruben sandwich. So, please don't think you'll be overwhelmed by Irish fare. The menu is eclectic, but I went for a cup of French Onion Soup and a Ruben sandwich, yeah I know predictable. The French Onion soup was great and very tasty. The Ruben was an overstuffed delicious delight. Absolutely no complaints there. The service was fine and the staff was friendly. This is a great spot for lunch for the business area. I'd come back again.

The stuffed mushroom appetizers was ok. A little pricy for the 6 small mushrooms but it was tasty. We also liked the French onion soup... now the rest was a mess. I was very grossed out by the menus as you see splattered old food, wrinkly pages etc. My steak salad was not editable. I ordered medium steak and it was undercooked. On the bottom of the bowl was a mixture of butter, oil and salt, thAt made the entire salad like eating a plate of salt. Sent the whole thing back as I was so grossed out. Our server was sweet and fast. All together I would not recommend. Seems dated, the quality was meh and the prices are a little high for the quality

Let me tell you this airport is cozy. And by cozy, I mean you blink and you've seen all 11 terminals. It's so small if you miss your gate, you can probably still hear them calling your name from the parking lot. Naturally, I "ran into" Beach House... mainly because it's the only place to run into. But thank God it was there. I ordered the bowl and the wings, and listen I was hungrier than a hostage. That food didn't just hit the spot, it tackled it. The wings were on point, crispy and sauced like they meant business. The bowl? Cleaned it like it owed me money. After a week of work, that meal felt like PTO for my taste buds. Now let's talk about Kourtney. Airport service can sometimes feel like, "Here's your food, good luck in life." But not Kourtney. She delivered the kind of service you don't expect in an airport especially when most customers are one-and-done travelers she may never see again. She was friendly, attentive, and on it. Absolute pro. If airport hospitality had a Hall of Fame, she's first ballot. I know I'll be back working the Panhandle again, and when I do, I'm pulling up to Beach House before I even check my gate. For now 100% recommend. Small airport, big flavor, and service that actually makes you smile before getting crammed into seat 23B.

Disclaimer: I am only reviewing the bar…read more And that bar was awesome! The Pensacola airport does not have an endless supply of eating/drinking establishments, but what they do have works just fine. That includes Pensacola Beach House, a nice spot for a drink or maybe some bar & grille fare. We had a flight to catch and a thirst to quench. Pensacola Beach House met one of those two needs, serving up the locally sourced Pensacola Bay Brewing's brown ale in a bottle. A smashingly good choice! Though we did not eat, the service was excellent, and I did ogle the young man's street tacos next to me, which looked pretty fantastic. I was admittedly not hungry, so maybe next time. It is super easy to find on the only real concourse, great service, nice space, and not airport-priced. I think I paid $7-8 for a bottle of beer, which is not outrageous for an airport. Great spot!

They hit that mark, but it cost me $40 with tax & tip. That is for just a salad and an order of french fries! The water came quickly in a real glass and tasted excellent. Very clean and cold, and greatly appreciated. Since it was a real glass I did not ask for a straw which is unusual for me. I enjoyed a nice view of the skatepark across the street as I dined, and watching all the people having a good time in the outdoors was refreshing. Most restaurants don't offer a view like this. There are a set of dining bars with chairs at the windows on either side of the door to amplify the view, but I opted for a traditional table since there were many available when I entered. As for the food... well, it was good, but not great. The $14 iceberg wedge was dotted with some delicious pancetta and gorgonzola cheese, and the lettuce was super fresh and crisp. Where it missed the mark was the overly mayonnaisey dressing. It really needed some more seasoning or something and I could not taste any buttermilk at all, even though it is called a "herb buttermilk dressing." The single cherry tomato (halved) was delicious and sweet, as were the 4 thin slices of radish. While the presentation was nice, it really needed more tomatoes and radish in my opinion, and a stoutly buttermilk dressing. The duck fat fries were crisp, too crisp. I enjoy the soft mushy potato inside the crispness of lard-fried potatoes, but very few of these offered that. They were generally too crisp, and some were crispy all the way thru making them a solid crisp. They came mostly unseasoned so I had to use the salt shaker generously. The sausage bits were good but a bit on the greasy side. The dipping sauce was mild, bland and oily, and I wished they had offered a ketchup alongside as well. Whether homemade or store bought, ketchup would have added color and some much needed acidity to the plate. Your mileage will vary, but for me, there are better options in my price range and this is not a place I can take hungry teenagers.
