This location was recommended by a few friends so maybe it was a bad night but I was not a fan. Our bartender seemed extremely disinterested. He took an ridiculously long time to make 3 drinks. Then when he was done he was giving our drinks to the group next to us. We go to pay and he walks away only taking my one friends card. Then starts making more drinks with her card in his hand. That was another wait to get our cards back. The decor was really pretty and the crowd had good vibes but two other women came up to us to complain about the bartender as well. It seems they were too busy taking shots to care about their patrons. Our drinks sucked but it was a pretty place to sit and chat with friends. Like I said, Ive heard good things about this bar so hopefully it was just an off night but I won't be rushing back to try again. I gave an extra star for the decor and the good vibes of the other customers.

The menu was great - I settled on the flatbread which I highly recommend especially if you love honey drizzle on pizza crust. My friend ordered the salad which was gorgeous and fresh. We finished off with the churros. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to return and recommend to friends.

The menu is seafood-heavy, so if that's your thing, you'll have plenty of options. If not, the burger is a solid pick, better than you'd expect from a seafood spot. It can get loud inside on busier nights, but the outdoor seating is a nice option, especially being in Baldwin Park.

Such a letdown unfortunately. It was my pick for Mother's Day. I was swayed by some very glowing…read morereviews, which contributed to my high expectations. Made a reservation for 7 p.m. Arrived a bit early and had to kill some time at the bar, as they were only seating on-time. I ordered an espresso martini, which looked more like a shot than a cocktail. It wasn't great. Not the right consistency. Weak color. Once seated at our table, my party of 3 ordered 2 apps. We all agreed the Ceviche was the most bland we have ever tasted. Served sans lime wedges, which might have helped, but not much. The Crush Puppies were also meh. Rather small portion that appeared to be fried a bit too long. The other cocktail I ordered from their bar menu (grilled cheese and pickle one) was again miniature-looking. Our entrées were a step up from our apps, at least. I was very disappointed that my top pick, the Cioppino, had just sold out. Guess that was a popular dish on Mother's Day. My daughter's Truffle Bucatini had a satisfying flavor. Service was fine. The hostess, however, wasn't all that friendly or helpful. The interior is nicely styled and has an upscale feel with verdant plants tucked here and there. The central bar has an enticing vibe. Overall though, it was an expensive outing that failed to impress us.

After months of anticipation... I finally made it to Alfie's…read more It was exactly what I was hoping it would be: a slice of culture. Real people. Real life. Real youth. Real energy. Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. No complaining about that ! lol

However, we initially entered to get a picture in the photobooth for our friends birthday. There was no one at the door checking IDs. After we all piled into the photobooth, someone walked up and asked for our IDs. He wanted us to exit the booth to get them. Eventually said ok because we had already paid and on a timer. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.

We sat outside and enjoyed the evening before heading home. My server was really good and remembered me from my last visit. It is located in a great location along the main downtown drive of Baldwin Park. We were sat right away by the windows upfront. It looked like more people were located around the bar ordering drinks than sitting at tables. Service was pretty good. For drinks, a margarita and a Mountain Dew. The margarita wasn't anything spectacular. For dinner, we ordered the Cobb salad and a burger with fries. My cobb salad was good but I did not care for how it was plated. It was laid out separated by ingredient. Made it difficult to mix together and enjoy bites with all the ingredients together. The ingredients though were fresh. I heard no complaints about the burger and fries. I feel like for the location, other restaurants in the area, and prices, that the food and experience would feel slightly more elevated.
