What happened here?? For many years, the Bonfire was our favorite place to go for a hearty breakfast with great friendly servers. Sadly that is not the case anymore. The servers and kitchen staff seem to change like the weather but even more disappointing is the quality and portion size of the food. At our recent "last chance" visit, the ham and egg breakfast was served with a piece of ham that was shaved so thin that you could nearly see through it. Oh how I would love to see the owner's reaction if HE was ever served a portion like this. Please, I would rather be charged a bit more for a meal if it helped keep employees happy and kept the chipped ham off the breakfast menu.

I judge a restaurant based on the amount of exposed brick they have on the inside. This place has tons of it. Very nice decor. Very old school yet modern. The appetizers were fantastic. We got the loaded hush puppies and the lobster crab dip. For the entrées we had pasta, French onion burger, and a chicken sandwich. The pasta and the chicken sandwich were excellent, but the burger was just average. Our server was great and the food came out super quick. Definitely a spot we will return to!

It is homey, but new and clean. We had a seat in the back by a big fire place. The service was fast, effective, and friendly. Kenzie did a great job taking care of us. We started out with calamari. It was good, but not much different from other calamari I have had. It came with a mayo based sauce as well as a sweet Thai chili. My wife had the Shroomer, which was a portabella based burger. She really enjoyed it. I had the walleye. It was on a bed of risotto with broccoli and mushrooms. The walleye was blackened. It was a delicious dish. It was listed as "Riverfish" meal on the menu Overall, a fun night with really good food.
