It's bad enough prices are high on everything, but to be grossly over charged for bad drinks served in plastics cups with little ice. Too much. Cocktail menu descriptions are misleading. Do NOT order the Redneck Margarita. It's a tiny jar of beer for $10. Zero craftsmanship in the bartending. I left my game at half time because I'm so disgusted at being overcharged for a horrid product. Do not waste your money. I arrived before my family and the lovely hostess seated me immediately. Moments later I met our server, "Dom" who got me set up with a beverage while I awaited my family. Dom was terrific! He was patient yet attentive, well versed on the menu items and a delight to talk to. My family finally arrived and since it was a gathering of the siblings from around the country, everyone was very chatty while we all got caught up. Dom was extremely patient with our never-ending delays due to conversation and never once made us feel rushed! Disappointed and Disrespected at Bonfire Tempe - Won't Be Returning I had high hopes for Bonfire Tempe after a fun DJ Bingo night on October 24th, where I won two $5 coupons and genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere. I even planned to make it a regular spot and recommend it to friends, family, and colleagues. Unfortunately, my return visit on November 4th was a complete letdown. From the moment we arrived, service was extremely poor. It took over 12 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, despite multiple staff members loitering near the bar. We were seated at a hi-top directly across from them, yet no one seemed interested in serving us. We ordered a modest meal--happy hour wings, a chicken Caesar salad, a Philly sandwich, a Bonfire BLT, and drinks. My husband's water refill took over 20 minutes and required us to actively hunt down our server. The same happened when we were ready to leave; we had to search again just to get our check. When the bartender finally approached, she quoted our total as $90 but refused to provide a printed bill. I offered my two $5 coupons, which she took with visible annoyance, saying she needed manager approval. Then she disappeared. After nearly 30 minutes of waiting and being ignored, I approached her at the bar. She went to find the manager, then came back and quoted a new total: $107.64. Confused, I asked to see the itemized bill before paying. She refused, saying I could see it only after payment. Reluctantly, I handed over my card. Only then did I learn the breakdown: an 18% auto gratuity, a 2.99% credit card surcharge, and an additional 7% tip--bringing the final total with tax to $114.40. When I questioned the excessive charges, the manager, Jaya Martin, stepped in and responded with condescension and dismissiveness. Her justification? "We have the right to add the gratuity... to protect our servers." When I asked for a refund of the extra tip, she flatly refused. Her final gesture was to smugly point to her name tag and suggest I grab her business card "on the way out the door." To Jaya Martin: Customer care is what protects your servers--not hidden fees and poor service. I've tipped $100 for great service before. But this experience? It earned nothing but regret. I will not be returning to Bonfire Tempe, and I'll actively discourage others from dining there. If you value transparency, respect, and basic hospitality, look elsewhere. read more

The establishment is a neighbors dream it's a place when the weather is nice you walk or bike to. The owner and staff are awesome food is really good large menu not a lot of food allergies options but a variety of delicious eats and cuisines to get you comfortable and coming back. Honestly we were really looking forward to trying this place. The reviews were great but our experience was not good. We were seated right away but our experience went downhill from there. Our server brought one water - but there were 3 of us. We waited almost 25 minutes before he returned so we could place our order. It's was about 50 minutes before the food arrived. It was delivered. By a runner and not the server. He didn't return to check on us. The restaurant wasn't very busy for a Saturday night. As there were a lot of open tables. I had an meal at this place on a Tuesday evening. The bill was presented to me on an electronic device. I complete the bill by inputting my tip amount and agreeing to the final cost. They did not offer the paper method to pay, meaning the transitional way of giving you a paper copy of your bill, you add the tip amount to the cost and sign it. The electronic device was different. I seen my total cost and I add a tip and that was that, no paper copy of the transaction for my record. The issue is the total I agreed to pay doesn't match what they charged my credit card, they charged me more. I have contacted the restaurant thru email, and never received a reply. It has become a very reliable Go To location for date night, double date night, family lunch and "just a quick one" before we go home and pay off the Babysitter! Patio great when weather permits. Live Music fun when it's there. Dining Room side is spacious and clean when it's open. But let's face it...we are Bar people. We like the vibe of the bar side and the Staff is so accommodating even when we drag kid(s) along . FOOD is very good. Burgers are moist & flavorful. Good variety of "stuff" to dress them up. Fries are fresh cut kind of thick "curls" of potato. Buffalo Chicken Dip good but Better is you have them add Bleu cheese (offered as an option, take it). So we have gobbled our way thru the menu after multiple visits and when do I Finally remember to take a pic? Had a great visit here yesterday. There is a great selection of menu items and drinks to choose from. Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable, and the pricing is very reasonable. Surprisingly, the place was not very busy, which had me questioning the time it took to get our drinks each time. The food actually came out faster than expected. We tried a three item bbq combo combo consisting of burnt ends, bb ribs, and brisket, with two upgraded sides of mushrooms and onion rings. My only complaint is that the brisket was very, very dry, so much that the sauce couldn't even fix it. We only ate a little bit of it. When the server asked us how our meal was, I was honest and said everything was great, but the brisket was terrible. It was the only thing left on the huge platter. I was hoping she would offer to remove it from our bill or offer something else, but she didn't. So, instead of leaving it to be thrown away, I decided to take it home and do something with it. It's not a huge deal, but this did disappoint me. I guess they don't train their servers to make accommodations to the customers. More or less how establishments act these days. First time here and the food was really good. Jada our server was fantastic very polite and attentive.

We've been here a couple times... servers are very friendly, but service was overly slow both times. Today we ordered a pizza, and the stand they placed it on was angled a bit. As we attempted to get another slice off the tray, it slid and fell to the ground. We asked for a replacement, then, when the bill came, they charged us for both pizzas. I asked to speak to a manager, explained the situation to her, she said she had to talk to the owner. She never came back, sent our poor server to deliver the news that they were only going to give us 50% off one pizza. We were there for over 2 hours, never got asked if we wanted refills of any of our drinks, had to ask twice for a side of ranch, our kids like coming here because of the games but we won't be back. Update: read the reply from the owner below, this is my reply to him: The child was serving herself a slice. She did not knock the pizza off the stand. As I told the server that the stand was angled, she admitted "they're not the best". I mentioned to the manager to check the camera, to see the entire pan slide onto the ground. The manager asked me if the children ran into the table, I said no. She then asked "did the pizza fall due to faulty equipment?" The owners response below is passive aggressive and inaccurate. I've seen this business being built after the closing of the tilted kilt and some chicken place that was here before this. When I originally looked this up, the first picture that came up was a martini. That is specifically the reason I stopped by today. When we went it was pretty dead and quiet. I ordered the s'mores martini and based on the picture (very staged) I was a bit nervous about how it came out. I was actually surprised because the only thing that was missing was the melted marshmallow rim. Everything else came as pictured. Pleasantly surprised with the presentation. Don't confuse this with an espresso martini. No coffee or espresso in this one. Not bad overall. Just not what I expected. There was a huge food menu and drink menu. Like ridiculously huge. Short version: holy crap, not only is the place huge, but their menus are, too! Definitely worth a return visit, especially since I opted not to try one of their cocktails ... so my next visit will be appetizers and cocktails, plus an Uber. LOL! Longer version: got hungry early so stopped in Saturday around 4 ish and the place was already hopping. We were still seated immediately though. There is plenty of parking for sure, even saw a lot in the back; there is a large dog-friendly patio (with heat lamps), and even walking around to the front door and sitting down, I realized there was a large room in the back. So when I say this is a big place, I do mean BIG. The greeter dropped us off at our table and just as I was trying to figure out why the hell we were given two menus, I realized one menu (front and back!) was their drinks and the other (front and back!) was their food. Our server arrived at our table within seconds and asked for our drink order. Upon delivering those, she asked if we were ready to order food, to which we replied no. She came back again, still no. The third time I told her to give us at least five minutes because, seriously, their menus are extensive. It's going to take awhile to read through and decide. We opted for the cheesy garlic bread, the five cheese pizza, and one of the meat combos. Jeez, I think we'll be eating leftovers for the next week. It was a lot of food, and the prices were reasonable. Everything was delivered hot, and although it took about 20 minutes, there was no question it was fresh food. We had the Ole Smokey pizza, ribs, smoke chicken thighs, smokehouse salad (brisket), and a cheese pizza. The star of the show were the pizzas! Cooked perfectly and the toppings were quality. They also put a nice touch on the crust with some extra parm. The ribs were also great. Nice flavor and sauce. The only thing keeping this review from 5stars was the coscia chicken (smoked chicken thighs) were pretty dry, and the salad was small for the price. The food is still good; prices have gone up more than other restaurants; some portion sizes have decreased such as the salads and the toppings. Service is very good. This last visit, however, the server cashed us out while I was still eating. Ambiance and cleanliness - This is where Bonfire has bottomed out. Normally they have regular, recognizable 70's to current, country) music playing. Friday night early (5:30) dinner it was techno music. Someone had puked on one of the urinals in the men's room and the women's room needs attention also. They close off the side of the restaurant that has booths for private parties and during the summer. The side that they seat people on has tables that you either sit facing the parking lot or the bar. If you're facing the parking lot then hopefully you're not there for the 'elevated sports bar' experience because you can't see the tvs. We have had to ask for a 4 top table so we can both watch the game. read more

We sat there for 10 mins at least without being asked if we wanted a drink. I have worked in the food service industry and can understand dealing with people all the time can get old, but when you're working for tips a little friendliness goes a long way. I normally would just deal with it and hope it got better but with the price of going out these days it is not worth spending my money at an establishment that treats you like a nuisance. What an awesome place. Our waiter was attentive, helpful, and friendly. It looked like a typical bar at first, but the TVs had different games on and there was a game room in the back for the kids. They also had trivia tonight (Tuesday), but we didn't officially play. The food was SO good. My dad had the smoked wings and said the smokey flavor was great. My mom had the pulled pork and really enjoyed it. Her favorite was the fries, they were a cross between steak fries and typical fries. Very good!! I had the Southwest Mac and Cheese topped with pulled pork. It was amazing!! Finally my son had the kid's chicken nuggets, and he ate them in record time. We have visited the west valley location numerous times and it's pretty good, but this newest location in Tempe is by far so much better. It feels not only larger; it's got better lighting, pool tables, karaoke some times, full bar and more. Did I mention service was amazing today. We chatted with multiple of them and our server made great recommendations. We started with the green chip pork nachos as an appetizer (Freaking Fantastic) . By far one of the best nachos we've ever had anywhere. They did not skimp on the meat, the guacamole was fresh, and so many toppings. Chips were not soggy and portions we huge. We only ordered a half order and couldn't finish because we were worried we couldn't eat our main courses lol. I ordered the BLT with fries and my husband the two mean bbq plate. While my BLT was ok it wasn't my fave. It came on a large bun and was lathered in mayo. Mayo is already not my fave, but I'll tolerate it. It was not only too sweet, but too much of it for me. The bread was ok, but I'd of rather it been toasted on regular bread. No biggie just personal preference. The bacon was crispy, great amounts of it and fresh tomato, avocado and lettuce. Fries were ok as well. Cooked well, but more like shaved wedges. My husband loved his ribs and such. Great flavor, fall off the bone and what he couldn't finish he brought home to our son who inhaled them instantly lol. All in all great stop.
