I visited Bong Bong for my sister's birthday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you are looking for a restaurant to celebrate with a meal, I highly recommend Bong Bong. Just let the hostess know, and a large group of servers will come over with some signs and sing happy birthday. I am not the biggest fan of hot pot, but I greatly enjoyed this restaurant. The service was great even though they were very busy. We never had to really wait without meat or anything else. The vegetables, sauces, seafood, noodles, desserts are all self-serve. This is one of my favorite Hotpot restaurants in the Denver area! Their broths are so tasty and the meat is top notch! My favorite thing about the restaurant is how large and spacious the tables are making it easy for everyone to have multiple plates without feeling cramped. They also have some of the best soft serve ice cream ive ever had. The coconut and chocolate soft serve is a heavenly combo and I crave it daily now. The only things I would just be aware of is the seafood quality can be a little hit or miss. Im always super careful because we are a land locked state but there have been a few times the Scallops and other shellfish smelled off. They lost a star for that. Also be aware that the wait staff do not refill drinks. I only wish they would at least do water but the fun drink options like slushies and milk tea make up for it! The Good: We recently had lunch at this new restaurant, which has only been open for two months. The place is very clean, and the non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price. The Confusing: If you haven't done hot pot before, prepare to be overwhelmed. We didn't realize going in that you have to cook all your own food at the table, and the initial menu is complex. You start by choosing from eight broths (we picked the Bong Bong Signature, which was okay but didn't quite "warm the soul" as advertised) and four meat options, of which you can pick two per person. What we wish we knew: The food isn't just in one place. We thought the first big wall we saw was everything, but it turns out there are 2-3 other areas to select food from! There is also a massive sauce station where you compose your own dipping sauces. They offer some loose guidelines, but the whole thing was pretty confusing. We would have loved some pre-made sauce options. The Bad: It would really help if they provided some guidelines on how long to cook the various meats, seafood, and vegetables. We didn't know how long to leave the raw shrimp, scallops, and calamari in the broth and definitely overcooked them. The array of vegetables is impressive (comparable to H Mart), but we were unfamiliar with many of them and felt a bit lost. Also, they don't allow two people to share one broth bowl, which we would have preferred. Hot station had cooked appetizer items that were lukewarm to cold. The Price & The "Leftover Fee": Lunch on a Tuesday was $29.99 per person, which the menu claims is a $10 savings over the "regular price" of $39.99. I can't imagine paying the regular price for this. Be warned: this is an All-You-Can-Eat program with a strict "clean plate" rule. They will charge you extra if you leave raw food on your plates! We had literally one piece of chicken, one piece of pork, and one piece of meat left, and they tried to hit us with the extra charge. We protested and they eventually waived it, so our total was about $65 for two. The Verdict: Some of our confusion was definitely our own fault for not knowing the cuisine better. If you already have some "chef skills" and know exactly what you are doing with hot pot, you'll probably like this place. But for beginners, the lack of instruction left us feeling disappointed and somewhat overcharged. read more

Decided to try Bong Bong after hearing great things about it. The interior is really nice. It was clean, and I loved that there were two sauce stations, and four refrigerators to grab your vegetables, tofu items, fish balls and seafood (each refrigerator contained all the same items). This really helps with keeping lines low. We were seated right away but did wait maybe 10 minutes before anyone came to take our broth and meat order, but you can definitely hit the sauce bar and grab your other items before placing that order. My partner stayed behind and was able to place my order. They have self serve drinks, which is also unlimited. They had milk tea, Thai tea, an orange yogurt slush and one other flavor. They also have a Pepsi fountain dispenser, and of course water. The Thai tea was okay, I liked that it wasn't too sweet. The orange yogurt slush was actually pretty tasty! There was also a hot food station. To name a few items there were potstickers, French fries, and vegetable egg rolls. They also had red bean baos and egg custard. They also had fruit offerings like watermelon and pineapple as well as dessert. Some times you would see at a Chinese buffet like the cakes and cream puffs but they also had Vietnamese desserts as well. I enjoyed their coconut and chocolate swirl soft serve. That was a great way to end the meal. For $40 (dinner), I think it's a decent price point because of the included desserts, hot food and drinks. What made me take off a star was the bathroom. It was disgusting! One stall had no toilet paper and the other had feces smeared on the tank. I was grossed out to say the least. It may sound nitpicky at this point, but the distance of the bench from the table felt kind of far. Anyway, I'd come back again, just avoid the bathrooms lol read more

So many amazing selections! This location shares a parking lot with a lot of surrounding businesses, but there were still plenty of spaces. When we first walked in the place was crowded! We recently saw a TikTok video about it and we're assuming that that's why it exploded with the popularity. It was only a group of four so we were able to get seated quickly. The tables are massive! A four person Table had so much space for the toppings, meats, seafood, everything! You order the broth with the server and the meats. You can then go to their buffet type wall to pick out your own veggies, noodles, and seafood. They also had a huge selection of fried foods and dessert! The sauce station looked like your standard station. I got the broth and it was really good! I only add a little bit of garlic and sesame oil to my broth so it's still kept most of its flavor. We went during dinner time which means we were able to order some really great cuts of meat. I'm not a big seafood person so I skipped that section of the wall buffet. I will say that their veggies look like your standard ones and I was able to get some corn and broccoli. They offer six different types of noodles, four were dry noodles and two were already pre-soaked. I went with a Ramen noodle and a rice noodle. Their fried section is around the corner with their dessert section. They offer plain fried rice, plain, lo mein, spring rolls, dumplings, french fries. A lot of great options in my opinion. For the dessert side, they had soft, serve, ice cream, slushy, espresso, machine, and those little cakes, and pastries! The price difference is only $10 for lunch and dinner so I wouldn't mind getting the lunch option next time. I did see that they offer some more private rooms that I think you have to reserve an advance and there's another section where you can sit on the floor like a traditional Taiwanese hot pot style. Came here to continue the birthday celebration weekend for the family. We love how spacious the tables are and the hot pot were a little bit further from the edge of the table with wider and shallower pots compared to other hot pot places. This is great for various reasons: 1 - not getting steamed in the face when cooking. 2 - having space in front of your pot to put the sauce and the dish for hot food. 3 - the pot is shallower so you can see your root veggies and seafood in case they decided to take a deep dive and disintegrate (or get really tiny and chewy). I love love love that they offer so many dessert options, yes this hot pot place is a bit more costly compared to others, but they have a big selection of dessert, hot dishes and drinks. Some reviews not on Yelp had mentioned their dessert is flavorless, but I think if you know an Asian person you'd know the highest compliment for an Asian dessert establishment is - not too sweet, which Bong Bong delivered. The thai iced tea had strong tea taste, not too sweet, so is the milk tea... and their soft serve was done well too. Great service from the lady who helped us with amazing recommendations. We were super excited to try the fancy new Hot pot restaurant in town. And to be honest, the food did not disappoint. You do have to kind of be bop around the whole restaurant to find everything you need but they have everything. It's got a larger seafood section than most of the hot pots I've been to in town and the dessert section puts every other Hot pot restaurant to shame. The meat was not quite my favorite. It was a little bit tougher than some of them we've had, but honestly no real complaints on the food at all. Drinks are included, which is something that's a little bit different. They have a selection of teas and some fruit smoothie type drinks as well as flavored water and Pepsi products. The vibe of the restaurant is actually really good. And the service was great, very attentive, but our major problem was the wheelchair accessibility. Wheelchair accessibility: so to start off there's only two close accessible parking spots, both of which were taken up by the senior daycare center's staff vehicles or company vehicles and so we ended up having to park much further away, and it was hard to navigate getting onto the curb. The path of travel from the sidewalk into the restaurant is also a little bit difficult. There's an outside table that blocks a lot of the room and then there's a couple of tight turns to get in. There's a double door to get inside. We had staff help us one time on the way out: on the way in we navigated in ourselves as long as you have an extra person with you, it should not be too difficult. There's plenty of room to travel in this restaurant. All of the tables have benches or Japanese style seating that can't really be moved out of the way. I was able to sit on the side of one of these tables and stay in my wheelchair which worked OK, however, it was a bit hard to reach the heating element/bowl. Staff did offer assistance multiple times which was appreciated. Everything is spaced out really nicely, but the largest issue we encountered was the bathroom. The exterior door to the women's bathroom was nice and light and easy to open. However, the apparent handicap stall is not accessible at all; it is narrow and the door swings inward cutting off already limited turn radius. even with a medium size manual chair it was difficult to get in and actually was impossible to get out. It required two people to help and we almost had to remove the door. We did speak to the staff and gave us a suggestion on how to help but I'm not sure if it's gonna get fixed. There's also no grab bars and the soap and towels are a little bit high. So while we would love to come back for the food, we're not sure if we're gonna be able to come back because of the accessibility. read more

We were told to order our drinks at the bar, which we found odd- and then when we did, the bartenders were confused about why we were ordering at the bar. I know this place is pretty new, so it seems like maybe they're still working out the kinks. Lots of great hot pot options- veggies, meats, seafood. The seafood was probably the star of the show. One side is regular seating and one side you sit on the floor. No shoes allowed. It's a spicy broth with a touch of curry and umami flavor. I liked it a lot. The dinner menu was available to us as well so we ordered the premium short rib, premium rib eye, beef belly and pork belly. You can order four meats per time. That was enough for us for the entire meal since we loaded up on seafood. I chose quail eggs, crawfish, blue crab, large prawn, clams, mussels and oysters. Then I felt guilty so I got lotus root, bok choy and spinach. Also chose different fish cakes and tofu. Four different noodle choices as well. It was a delicious lunch. Not sure about the crab but it's ok. Lots of other choices. Servers were polite and helpful. They do have crab crackers for the claws. I also liked the French fries and you tiao. The desserts were ok. She tried the pana cotta and I tried the tapioca. The soft serve we both liked. It's a little hard to get the cones out without crushing them but we managed. LET ME TELL YA, when my Taiwanese friend visiting suggested this place I was SO excited. Walking in I was immediately impressed by the scale and look of the restaurant - reminded me of a hot pot spot I recently went to in Toronto. You select your broth, I got the original bong bong which is a base of bone broth and you order any alcohol with the waiter upon sitting. Each person can select 2 meats (highly recommend the short rib) at a time. The veggie and protein options that you get up to collect yourself are plentiful, except I couldn't find any soft tofu. You can also then create your own sauce, then go grab other hot foods like fried rice and potstickers. You have options for beverages as well - milk tea, Thai tea, juices and soda. The meats came out timely and were great quality (at least the ones we got), we were pretty full after 3 rounds of ordering. Desserts are a plenty as well, pudding options, fruit and soft serve. Hold tight! you do not have to eat meat. There is the wall of veggies+. There are so many options on this wall. Only thing i didnt see is beef meatballs but they are already on it and going to get it in the next few days. This is a beautiful restaurant and everything was pretty clean. However, the food was not good. The sauces were hard to get and hard to scoop. In addition, some of the items were put in the top which made it hard to see and get if you're short like me. Our server was alright, he focus on being a jokester with jokes that fell off and came off rude instead actually serving us. He took awhile to come check on us and take our order. The food was not the best also. The shrimp was not fresh, it was all mushy when cooked. For $40 per person that is extremely overpriced for the lackluster food. There are other hotpot places around for better quality at a better price. I would not come back here again.
