I once loved this place. Stopped for lunch and my husband and I were greeted by a young lady who looked like she preferred to be any place but there. As luck would have it, she was our waitress! We ordered drinks & lunch and unfortunately, I think this woman wasn't used to taking drinks and food orders at the same time and each time we tried to get her attention, she walked away! When I finally walked up to her to ask about the drinks, she said she was just going to get our food, but would we like drinks instead. I asked for the manager and she stated that the manager wasn't in and no one was over her...I did speak with the drive through girl and after getting nowhere, we left-hungry, thirsty, and unhappy. read more

It's my first time coming to Bonos so I wasn't sure what to expect. I brought my family, and we were seated right away however the server took 20 minutes to come to the table. This could have been a fluke because we were seated in an odd section, but either way it sucked to wait. When our server did get to us the service was good and we got our food pretty quick. I got the rack of ribs. It was pretty good, and for the price you can't go wrong. 13.99 for a full rack of baby backs with 2 sides. There were multiple flavors of bbq sauce, but a lot of them were mustard based so I didn't really hit them up.After we got our food the server went incognito again. All in all the food was awesome and the service was slow. If you are not starving or impatient I say go there right away, however expect to be waiting. read more

This was a very good BBQ joint. My only two complaints are, the sauce wasn't quite sweet enough for me, and neither was the Brunswick Stew (it wasn't like the Brunswick Stew I'm used to), and it took a while for us to get our check. She had already almost cleaned out and we had to wait for a little bit. However, it had gotten very busy so we have her the benefit of the doubt. read more

What a disappointment !! We had Bono's a couple years ago and it was great but not this time. We ordered 2 pork platters to go. The pork was way overdone to the point of a jerky like texture. The vegetables for the coleslaw were not washed well and the slaw tasted like dirt and a musky gross thing going on. Fries were cold and soggy when we opened them in their parking lot. The dog liked it is the best thing I can say. Absolutely no love or quality control in their food that night. We would of been better off with fast food. Not going back. read more

Best bono's experience ever and let me tell you I've had many. We got our drinks and food in a timely manner despite the fact we were those people that showed up as the doors opened. Our waitress Jacquelyn was the best/ most beautiful waitress ever she laughed at our jokes and even gave us her number... okay that's a lie we gave her our numbers but same thing right any way despite our age difference I think we are probably going to fall in love one day. The food was great too it was made by a man who drove in to the parking lot in a car that was pretty much the bat mobile and if I could imagine how well bat man can cook it's probably as great as this guy did. My daughter and nephew stopped in for dinner on Memorial Day. We had never had BBQ so we thought it would be fun to try. Our waitress Heather was great explaining fr all our questions and even brought us a sample of the brisket which was a bit too chewy. She recommended the turkey but forgot to mention it was processed meat. We had the pulled pork which was one of my favourites. Another favourite was the dry rubbed ribs. The baby back ribs were not fall off the bone but were good. We did not care for the sausage or the chicken. The chicken was dried out and burnt. The other waitress working was talking with us immediately brought new chicken . The sides we got were all very good. I especially liked the green beans. The mac and cheese was good but with it being like warm it lacked its creaminess. The fried corn on the cob was a chewy yuck. heather will never let you go thirsty. Our over all experience was only good because of Heather . She is on my list as one of the best servers I've ever had. As far as BBQ I think the chef is over cooking most meats . read more

This was my second time of ever eating at this Bonos. I guess a die hard SONNY'S fan. Bonos isn't bad but SONNY'S is better in my opinion. The chicken I had was very moist which is unusual in so many cases when you order chicken cooked anyway it comes. I was well pleased with that. The coleslaw tasted fresh and sweet which I love. French fries were fresh which I requested they do and to a golden brown. They got it right. The tea was perfect and I'm a southern girl so I know about sweet tea. Tea goes with EVERYTHING. The garlic bread was also moist and not over cooked and dry. My husband had the ribs which he said were very good and had no complaints. After reading my review I gave them a five. They were really better than I had given them credit for in my mind to begin with. Yes we will be going back. Our waitress was pretty good. Just a little slow about checking back on us but over all it was worth giving them a second try. read more

Worst service ever! Granted there were only two waitresses, but they weren't that friendly or helpful. It took about 7 minutes for the hostess to make an appearance and seat us... It didn't get any better after that. The food was ok, but the lack of service trumped any desire to return. read more

Ate at the Bartram Park Bono's. Ordered the two meat combo and selected the brisket and pulled pork with collard greens, sweet potato, and Brunswick stew. Ordered the brisket fatty. The brisket was tough and the fat was not cooked to soft. The collard greens were ok but sweet, I know some people put syrup or sugar in their greens but not me. The Brunswick stew was just weird. I grew up in Ga. and have traveled and tasted this stew extensively and never anything like this. The sweet potato tasted boiled. read more

This is the worst BBQ in the city, dry chicken and ribs. The only thing that was not dry, was the turkey, and I think because it's processed. They have to take more pride in their food especially if they have a drive thru, Don't put a to go window in if you can't handle cooking food properly. As a local, we visit this location frequently and is a bit inconsistent with service and taste. However, we can consistently count on great BBQ anytime Antonio is doing the cooking. My fiance' and I are big fans of BBQ food. However most chain restaurants are very disappointing. We like to use coupons, to try different places, and if we like them, we will return, even if there aren't any coupons available. So we went to Bono's BBQ, with a buy one entree' and get the the second entree' half off. Well this place is awesome! It's nice to go into a BBQ place and see an actual BBQ pit, where the customers can actually see it. And the smell was wonderful! We were greeted and seated very quickly. Our young server Courtney, was very bubbly, friendly, professional, and really knew about the menu. I can usually tell if our dining experience will be good or not, just by ordering my ice tea. I always order unsweet, with extra lemon. And if a server can't get that right, then Rut Roh! Not only did I get my extra lemon on the side, but they were not thrown in my glass, to fish out with my fingers. Yaaayyyy! I hate having to put my fingers in my drink anyway. And needless to say, everything thing was perfect. Their newly smoked wings were perfect. I ordered them only smoked with no other sauces, and used the sauces on the table. After serving our food, Courtney said she would bring me buffalo sauce, on the side if I decided I wanted some. But I def did not need any. The ribs, my fiance' ordered, were BBQ'ed to perfection, and melted in his mouth. All the sides we chose, were good as well. Even if, Gordon Ramsey, ate there, he would be impressed. A picture of beer was really, really cold, and BIG. No ice reservoir needed, which takes up beer space. A very good price of 7.99. So all in all, this is a great place to eat. We have been there three times now, and have never been disappointed with food and service. Which in this day and age, is hard to find both together. The restrooms were very clean as well. As when dining out, I feel if the restrooms are not maintained, and most customers are most likely to use them, then how clean is the kitchen. But our server Courtney, really went above and beyond.
