Mac & Cheese and French Fries

Fantastic! And what made it great was the wonderful service. As most know, I travel with my littles and sometimes restaurants are quite equipped to handle my three, 5 yo and younger, crowd. Kudos to the attention we received. Oh and our food, wonderful! Ribs were moist and tasty. Everything was fresh. It was nice to see.

Went for lunch with hubby. Server was very attentive and friendly. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer they were ok. I got the special which was a smoked wing basket. I ordered the wings naked. the flats were great has good smoke flavor and well done the drums had good smoked flavor but were a little chewy probably because they were so big. Hubby had the three meat platter with sausage, pulled pork and brisket. The brisket had a lot of fat on it and not much smoke flavor, pulled pork didn't have any smoke flavor either and was better when using the variety of sauces which are good The sausage was the best. You should not have to douse your meat in sauce to make it taste good. Not sure if we will be back.

Terrible customer service. I called to ask why I didn't get pork when I paid for pork and the GM cut off my every sentence. I hope she finds peace in her life. I paid for half pound pork and received one slice. She didnt stop talking long enough to hear that. Her name is Tristen, the GM. She is unprofessional.

We've have driven by many times but never had stopped by .. they have and average size menu , they have some things that other BBQ places don't have ..Bohos has green tomatoes, sweet potatoes,Brunswick stew , home maid banana pudding among other things .I started with the green tomatoes. My entry I decided to try their beef brisket plater , the beef was tender , but was lacking seasoning. Liked the green tomatoes, great breading. Also the liked the onion rings they held up good didn't fall apart like other places. My wife's wings were delicious they had a nice crispness to them , smoked just right. I also liked the green beans u can tell they were cooked with smoked ham in them . Friendly service and all wood decor looked like an old country home inside ..

A Flavorful Feast at Bono's BBQ! On October 13th, twenty-twenty-four's cheer, The Zane Wylie Family had BBQ near! At Bono's we gathered, a culinary quest, Where smoky delights put our taste buds to test. Our server, Tristen D, with a smile oh so bright, Was fast, friendly, and efficient, making everything right. The family meal dazzled, portions massive and grand, With BBQ magic from a skillful hand. Ribs that were tender, brisket so divine, Pulled pork so juicy, it felt like a sign. We finished with banana pudding so sweet, A creamy delight, just the perfect treat! And as if the meal wasn't enough of a boon, We downloaded the app to earn smokin' tokens soon. With rewards in our pocket and joy in our heart, Our experience at Bono's outshined from the start. Bono's BBQ, you've won our acclaim, With food so delicious, you've earned your fame. We'll definitely be back, our taste buds can't wait, To savor more goodness and fill up our plate!

Ordered brisket sandwich. It was the driest piece of dry meat you could imagine. Certainly not brisket, maybe a piece of smoked sirloin. I give them two stars because they actually delivered this inedible sandwich in a fairly timely fashion.

Baked beans, pulled pork, brisket and Collard Greens
James E.

This is a good bbq join. The meats were delicious and there was plenty of crispy fat on the brisket! Baked beans were yummy. Collard greens were good but way to peppery! The fried pickles had a good taste but I'm not a fan of the cornmeal breading on anything-especially fried pickles! Over all I enjoyed my meal. Would rate it about my top 5 or 6 for bbq joints in my area.

Would you pay $4.19 for less than a half cup of banana pudding with one piece of banana?

They make the best BBQ around for sure, the only reason I give 4 stars is the service could be a little better.

Firstly, I would like to point out that when a review is posted is not the same as when the visit was. Secondly, a woman FROM YOUR BUSINESS came to MY car and personally told me that the restaurant was closed for renovations. And she did the same to at least 2 more cars of people. AND I asked here why the hours were NOT updated on google and she replied "Well we posted the hours somewhere." And no, this what not on a Sunday. We checked the hours before planning our trip and you were supposedly going to be open but your hours were not updated to reflect any renovations. You are a rude bold face liar making up things that plainly didn't happen. Here's how I can prove you're a liar: how would I know that you were closed for renovations supposedly before they started as you claim if I'm from out of town and came on a day that you're always closed as you claim before they ever started? I couldn't. I would have had to be there during the renovations as I was. And I was told by a woman on your staff! Talk to your staff maybe before you get so nasty. ORIGINAL: Tried to go to this place on vacation. It was closed for renovations and only found out after pulling into the parking lot. What vacation destination closes for renovations during vacation season anyway? They did NOT update their google hours nor did they put it on their sign at the restaurant. While I tried to find an alternative place for lunch after having my plans ruined, several other cars showed up like myself to the restaurant to be told by someone that they were closed as no one knew. My family planned a trip to this location just to try this restaurant. (Over a 3 hour drive). They should have updated their hours or at least put it on their sign. Poor management. Never even apologized for the major inconvenience. I already posted this review once and the owner or manager had it taken down because they didn't like my truthful post about their poorly ran restaurant. I consider that very disrespectful and misleading to everyone out here seeking honest reviews. If you want better reviews then be better. Don't doctor the stats!

My family lived in St Augustine for many years and SD's was our go to spot for all things BBQ!!! Their ribs and brisket are to die for!!! Pretty sure I heard they smoke their meats for 7+ hours....ohhhhh yeah!!!! Never forget the homemade sauces!! This review is based on my new SD's experience. We came up for a weekend at the beach and decided to give the Downtown St Aug/ Ponce de Leon location a try because the SR 206 location is ALWAYS packed. We figured it was only right to spread the love!! WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! The smells engulfed my nostrils before I ever turned into the driveway! The cute smoke house was just the right size and I enjoyed watching the meat come right out of the smoker then sliced and diced right in front of me. Cameron P the pit master was definitely doing his thing! My budget was $100...we got 2 full slabs, a pound of beef brisket, and a half chicken! Our total was $100.11.....and of course we thru the crew a tip because we appreciated the love and work they put into their magnificent products. The fries and appetizers were also solid, and portions were generous enough to leave satisfied. The drink menu is extensive too, with a strong cocktail selection that fits the whole Prohibition theme. Service was friendly and generally on point, even though it was busy.
