BonRue (formerly Farmstead) is a must stop in St George! They have a great variety of sweet and savory items. The croissants are amazing!! The cream filled desserts were my favorite specifically the Tabernacle Croissant. Didn't get lunch items this time but they looked delicious! The staff were super nice and the decorations were cute.
Was a little late to getting the photo! The staff was very helpful and providing recommendations, there was plenty of seating and plenty of options of food items to choose from. Everything was delicious that I tried. Got the chocolate chip cookie, the almond croissant and the chicken salad croissant sandwich. Would go again!
This bakery is so cute and has so many yummy treats and sandwiches. They have plenty of seating and are conveniently located. Definitely would come back if I was in the area again
If you're ever in the area and want a good coffee and a nice pastry this place is a must. We were passing on our way to Zion and my girlfriend found this place online and asked if we could go. Let me just say it was one of the best yes decisions. The cookie was really buttery and flavorful, the almond chocolate croissant was by far the best thing I ate there. A true gem that you should not skip on. The staff was friendly and dinning area was very clean, with great parking outside.
I get to come here every couple of years (I live in Los Angeles) but I will never NOT come here! As usual we had lunch and cookies our first day and breakfast pastries to go for the next two days. Bonrue (Farmstead in my head) is my favorite bakery in the world. The staff is so nice and helpful, and the food is delicious beyond compare. Plus since I was wearing an old school Farmstead shirt the owner made sure I had one of their coffee cups with the old name! Made me feel super special! Pics are just a bunch of great food-get anything that looks good to you!
Easily the BEST bakery in St George! So many options of pastries, sweet, savory, breakfast, or lunch. I can be really had to choose I tried a bunch and my top picks were Almond croissant - it's huge, almonds on the inside with a chocolate drizzle. Not to sweet and flaky Vanilla cronut - Had a vanilla filling instead and pairs will with the cronut The gorge - This a great breakfast sandwich. Scrabbled eggs are perfect and weren't over cooked. Bacon, & cheese over their perfect croissants The coffee was cool, standard lattes Customer service is great, very friendly and lots of smiles. The prices are on the steeper side but at the quality and size of their pastries, it's well worth it. This will be a must visit every time I visit St George!
Had the amazing opportunity to have these donuts while visiting friends. Got some to go on a Tuesday morning. The store is nice and the service was great (a hello when entering and three employees helping with our order). The sampling that we got today was: the house special: croissant-with almond and toffee crunch - BEST, blueberry croissant (?)-filled with blueberry, topped with powder sugar and a little cream, apple fritter-very nice and filled with apples and super cinnamon-y, raspberry filled donut-nicely filled with a creamy raspberry filling-lovely. The two "standard" donuts were good but the previous four-amazing!! Definitely the donut stop for great and amazing donuts (the four amazing ones 4$-5$ pricey but worth the splurge!) The shop was clean and has some other amazing things which I hope to try on my next adventure.
Love love love the variety of sandwiches and pastries! The people behind the counter were attentive and fast and asked simple question. We sat outside because we had our dog with us and she also enjoyed the cheese that was in my sandwich The beautiful sunshine was a great addition to the ambiance! I highly recommend
You won't understand the hype around Bonrue Bakery until you've had your first bite. Then you'll be hooked like the rest of us. The staff recommended we try the chocolate almond croissant, kouign amann, and ham & cheese croissant. All three were the gold standard of delicious excellence! Caramelized, flakey, salty, sweet, chewy, crunchy, savory... we got a little bit of everything. And they paired really well with our latte's! We tried the brown sugar & cinnamon and the white chocolate & orange and were blown away. We couldn't have had a better experience. Keep it up, Bonrue!
A friend told us about this place so we had to go check it out . They have a variety of pastries, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, quiches and even pizza . The place was busy on a Saturday but it didn't take long we got the breakfast croissant sandwich - ham, bacon , egg and cheese & the chocolate kouign- amann both were delicious and flaky. For a drink we went with the reg drip coffee (free refills) . The staff was super friendly and the manager even came over to give us a chocolate pastry that got messed up !!!! We will definitely be back next time when we're in town .

Very close to the town square, and plenty of free street parking. We were in search of a bakery snack and a hot chocolate and Bonrue popped up (There is signage out front explaining their former name and having to legally change it). Inside are some signs that show the old name. The staff was very nice. The restaurant is very clean, white, and sterile looking. The desserts are arranged very nicely in the case and there were plenty of choices but they did not have the cronut that I had seen in some photos online. I was a little disappointed but I got the milk chocolate croissant with a creme filling and it was amazing. I got to try a bite of their regular chocolate croissant and it was good too. the hot chocolate was really good, and they do not offer whipped cream. They had a soft foam for $1 extra fee (it was good). Definitely a good bakery snack option if you are in the area. Check out my photos.
We've worked our way through the take away pastries and here are the results: 1). Almond Croissant 2). Tabernacle Croissant 3). Cream Cheese Danish 4). Kouign Amann Our benchmark for baked goods is the almond croissant and this one has set the new gold standard. 10/10. The Tabernacle Croissant was very good - the vanilla cream filling was well distributed throughout and went very well with the light and moist pastry. The cream cheese danish was good, but the cream cheese was a little sweet for our tastes; sacrilegious to say, I know. The kouign amann was also good and we just liked the others more. I wanted to add that when we were there it was near closing time so they gave us a berry parfait on the house. It was likely one of the best parfaits I've had; the ingredients were so fresh and the granola delicious.

Ok im a coffee snob their coffee is very very good. 4 shot Capuccino every day worked in St George the last month. To say their pastries are not the best would be a lie. Everything I tried was first class the French bread ham and cheese sandwhiches. Enough enough just go there. Whatever the name of this pastry thing is itool a picture of is to die for. Had some treats from here last week and it's still the best bakery in Utah. Just wish they had one in Salt Lake county! I tried the strawberry and blueberry croissants and they were *chef's kiss* but my favorite will always be their kouign amann. Legit best kouign amann I've ever had, so don't sleep on it. read more

This place is amazing. I had decided to check it out before we got here from CA to take pastries to a big family get together. My daughter had also randomly said when you're in St. George you have to go to this bakery and I guessed Bonrue and was right! Long story only medium long, I arrived just after closing, the manager was so beyond kind, generous and thoughtful. Our box of pastries was SO AMAZING. So happy I stopped by Farmstead during our trip to Zion Canyon while we stayed in St George. Gorgeous display of pastries - with the worker recommending the kouign-aman, almond croissant and kroughnuts. Almond croissant is twice baked - filled with almond cream and delectably sweet! Ham and cheese croissant was a great savory treat. Coffee is delicious - from FS coffee, a local roastery. read more
We popped in to Farmstead on the way from SLC to Vegas. What a treat! They had everything a bakery should have. Pastries, sandwiches, croissants and more. Everything looked so good. I wanted to get everything. I wish we had this in SLC. The croissants were perfect. The service there is great. They are very attentive and happy to help. I had so many question on all the different options. There isn't much seating inside but there is lots of seating outside. The place looks clean and new. I love that they have sweet and savor items. We got a bunch of stuff for the road. If you are ever in or near St George, this is a place you have to try. I know we are stopping there every time from now on. read more
Farmstead is a must visit if in St. George. We went twice. First time I wasn't prepared and just got a few things. The guava danish was our favorite. The regular Kouign Amann was just okay the day we got it. Also, don't know what happened, but they kept skipping us when we were in front of the counter to order. I guess they all thought we had been helped, but it was weird...we stood there while they passed us and helped people further down the line. Finally we asked if someone could help us. They made up for it the next day and service was much better. Second day I was more prepared and everything we got was great. This time we got the chocolate Kouign Amann and it was really good. I think the Kouign Amann the previous day maybe wasn't as fresh or cooked the same, idk. Quality...is what you get for the price of pretty much everything Farmstead has to offer...well worth it. I love a good kouign amann! I literally will do a yelp search for it wherever I go. My fave is still B. Patisserie in San Francisco, they also have it in Honolulu at Kona Coffee Purveyors but Farmsteads is right up there in my opinion. It's simple and yet so delicate and rich all at the same time. I utilized their web ordering and it was ready to go when I got there, so efficient and the staff was friendly. read more

A friend of mine who lives nearby told me about this place so we stopped by to grab a few goods before our camping adventure. There's a lot to choose from. We ordered about a dozen pastries ranging from croissants, cookies danish, and seasonal fruit tarts. We also grabbed a few sandwiches. I was hoping they would last us for two days but we devoured everything the first day. We came back before heading home to grab a few goods for the road. The only good thing about ending our two weeks visiting the mountains and National Parks is driving back through St. George and stopping at The Farmstead for sandwiches and pastries. I haven't tried the pizza but it looks amazing, too. read more
While driving out of Arizona on our way to Utah, we saw a billboard that said "Farmstead - The Best Bakery in Utah". I read it aloud to my husband and then said "I'll be the judge of that!" We arrived at mid-morning on a Sunday and could not believe how many people were there. The location was convenient and it was easy to find parking but the place was packed. The bakery it self is stylish and clean and they have lots on offer. We settled on a Kouign-amann and a Blackberry Pistachio Tart. The service was fast and prices reasonable and we decided to head to a park to eat as the location was a bit too crowded for our comfort. The Kouign-amann was delicious and much larger that we have seen elsewhere. A perfect combination of buttery, flaky, crispiness. The Blackberry Pistachio Tart was dreamy and decadent and every bite was like a little taste of heaven. The billboard was absolutely right. read more

Terrible experience. The almond pastry I got has a super thin spread of almond paste and I only know that cause I opened it to find it cause I couldn't taste it. The coffee I ordered I waited for 30 min for. All our food was gone then I went to ask where my latte was and they said I never ordered however I showed them the receipt. I would NOT come here. We were excited to try Farmstead! We went at around 10:00am and the line was out the door so we knew it was going to be good! Even with the line, we were in and out quickly! The place is clean and small inside (enough room to order and pay with a few tables), and there is plenty of seating outside. Now the food! If you love French pastries you'll love this place! First time in St. George and this bakery came highly recommended. The place was busy on a Sunday afternoon which is always a good sign. Fortunately, the lines move pretty quickly I'm sure because everyone is anxious to get their pastries! They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, pastries, breads, coffee, tea and more. There are a few tables inside but the covered patio outside provided more space to spread out for our big group. We ordered the caprese sandwich, a ham and cheese one, a chocolate croissant, a triple baked almond croissant, a guava and a raspberry pastry. My favorite sweet was the guava one which had a nice target to counter the sweetness with a lovely cream cheese topping. The sandwiches were also delicious and filling on top of perfectly baked chewy with a nice crust exterior. Perfect spot to get some treats for the road! read more
