Let's start with service: when we arrived this location had a line out the door, not a problem for their super amazing team focused staff who had the line efficiently and consistently moving while serving every customer with a friendly smile. ART was one of the employees who helped us and his exceptional service stood out by being able to not only answer my questions but be serving others at the same time. He was so sweet to me as I was very excited to order the George breakfast sandwich (must try) and with only one left he made sure to box it up immediately so I would get to have one. The food: the fruit tart was the superior choice of our dessert purchases. It was the perfect rations of crust, custard and fruit. The cinnamon roll was more delicious after scraping the generous amount of frosting off and to the side. And the bread on their sandwiches was perfect, with a thick crust and soft interior. The mozzarella was so fresh, everything was. Now: the coffee. CAN WE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR JENI!? This was the first time IN MONTHS, where I have watched someone make a latte in the correct order of ingredients and in the time appropriate pouring for all ingredients, specifically espresso. WOW. I mean, literally nothing but amazing things to say. I ordered some pastries and 2 coffees online. 1. They all tasted AMAZING! 2. They were out of my of my pastries and they just subbed it for the regular version. But then the person helping me felt bad and wanted me to be able to try their chocolate, so she gave me a chocolate cronut on the house. She was so nice and I really appreciated her trying to make up for that. 3. It was busy in a fun way. Like, not overwhelming but like I was in a movie. People chatting at tables, outside tables had families, young people, old people, it clearly was a place that can draw a crowd. This coffee shop / bakery is super cute and I'm so happy I stopped in. Everyone working was super friendly and so many delicious options to choose from. You'll find plenty of street parking across the street. I ordered some iced cold brew coffee, a Boston crème donut and tried a chocolate kroughnut for the first time. No visit to St. George is complete without Farmstead. If you have not gone yet, you are missing out. I did read a few new negative reviews since I visited and could not believe my eyes. If anyone critiques the quality of these baked goods, they're clearly mistaken. Farmstead far exceeds what I would expect for St. George, let alone any major city across the US. I have yet to meet a pastry I didn't like at Farmstead. This time around I had the pleasure to try their Asian Green Salad, which was lovely. I couldn't help but get a Ham and Cheese Baguette, along with a Chicken Salad Sandwich on a croissant! I absolutely love that I can pick up lunch when I grab some sweets as well. For sweets this time around, I tried their Guava Cheese Danish (lovely), Cheese Danish (a favorite of ours), Purple Loaf, and Apple Pie. I'm actually not much of an apple pie fan, but I have to admit this one even blew me away. The crust was perfect and it was loaded with apples. Read, loaded with apples (not that gooey apple flavored glue most places fill it with). Would hands down buy any of their pies next time I'm in town. Of course I couldn't leave town without a few baguettes and a couple loaves of their sourdough (which I'm still enjoying as I write this). The only downside on my way out of town, was that by 11am on Friday, they didn't have a single ham and cheese croissant left (another favorite of mine). You guys! I love bakeries and pastries. I knew that spending a weekend in St. George I had to go try this place! We arrived around 9:30 am Saturday morning and there was a steady stream of people. There was a long line but it went fairly quickly. By the time we left the line had easily doubled. My spouse had a breakfast croissant that was delicious. I tried a Kouing Amann and it was a top notch version of it. Very buttery and gooey. It's a heavy dessert but so decadent. We tried some cookies that were crispy and tasty. This place is THE Bakery in St. George. We went there 3 times while in St. George for vaca, but aborted the 3rd trip before ordering because the line on a Saturday morning was nuts. We had been on 2 previous visits here earlier in the week, we arrived pretty early (like 7:30 or 8am) to pick up breakfast before hikes. On the first day we got a Breakfast sandwich (croissant) which we had heated and cut in half to split. It was pretty rich. Also a coffee and a Chai. I LOVED the barista, he was a doll! The 2nd trip we got a Kougin Aman and a maple bar (breakfast) - I found the Kougin Aman to be a bit drier than I am used to, but I still ate every bite. For our lunch hike, we ordered a Caprese sandwich to split. We did also ask for the sandwich to be cut in half and wrapped up to take on our hike. They put it in a paper bag, which ultimately was pretty greasy by the time we unpacked it. All in all a pretty good place, but I live in SF and I have 3 fantastic french bakeries with Michelin stared chefs within 8 blocks of my apartment, so I am a tough critic. For a small town like St. George, I totally understand the hype here. read more

OH MY HEAVENS! The pastries made me weak in the knees! We stopped here at the beginning of our girls weekend, it was good enough that we went back before leaving to head home so we could share with our families. Everything was good, but our favorites were the ham and cheese croissant, guava and cheese, and kouign amann. The bakery was very efficient and well stocked. The coffee shop was much less efficient and you may need to be prepared to wait. It was busy on Sunday morning and we were told that Sunday at lunch time the line is out the door and down the street. It is worth the wait! There is a nice covered seating area outside that was very quaint and enjoyable. The staff were all nice and friendly, even though they were quite busy. Definitely make this a stop if you are in St George. read more

Alright, get here early because this place just fills up and gets packed. The line moves quickly, but even at 10 AM, they were starting to run out of some things. So if you're wanting a savory croissant, it will not be there long. Everything I got was insanely delicious and soooo well done. The waiter gave me a lot of recommendations and he did not lead me astray. Told me to get the purple cake, orange zest donut and raspberry croissant. Purple cake was not my favorite, but only because out of the mix, it is the least flavorful. But it's a perfect pound cake. Orange zest donut was my personal favorite, it was absolutely divine and so flavorful. Every single thing was incredible. Kouignn amann is airier than I'm used to, but had a thick thick layer of caramel on the bottom that was just so gorgeous. Zero flops in the box. I'm planning on going back tomorrow. read more

I was fortunate enough to get to sample a wide range of Bonrue's baked good and I was impressed with every one. The kouign-amann is justifiably their best seller; it's buttery and delicious with crunchy sugar throughout and especially on the bottom. A raspberry-filled donut was another favorite of mine. Everyone said I needed to visit Farmstead for baked goods. Everyone was right. This bakery/eatery is legit. Fresh pastries, sammies and treats galore! I enjoyed the seasonal lemonade (mint and vanilla) paired with a few croissants-one plain, one chocolate and one stuffed with chicken salad. All were really good. Although the line was pretty long, it moved fast and the staff behind the counter were all working hard to get people in and out as quickly as possible. Even though I had just eaten lunch, I just had to see what the hype was all about. So glad I did. Service was excellent! They had tables for enjoying breakfast or lunch here. Parking was difficult to find even on a Thursday after lunch rush. In pictures you'll see what I ordered and cost. Though a little expensive, all were delicious fresh and even reheated several days later. It's definitely worth the effort to get here! read more

Living in Vegas and wondering what to do with a long weekend? Drive to Utah, of course. We only came into St. George for a day trip, but Farmstead was our first stop. I saw their beautiful treats on social media and bookmarked them months ago, and finally got to give them a try. We went in on a weekday, between breakfast and lunch, and they were still steadily busy with a line that wrapped around the shop - don't worry, it moved pretty quick. Their sweet and savory treats looked SO good I almost went back on our way out of town. We ended up getting four treats from the bakery case along with a slice of pizza to share, and a large latte for me - and I was so impressed with everything! The pizza and chocolate kouign aman were standouts, and everyone we interacted with was SO nice. I will have to grab one of their giant sandwiches next time I swing through town! Location is easy to find, right across from a park for an impromptu picnic if the weather is nice. The one thing I would suggest is for them to add a diaper changing station in the bathroom - Utah is always so family friendly that it was a shocker not to see one, and having to change my daughter on the floor is not my idea of a fun time. It seems like they might be affiliated with The Local wine bar in Vegas, so here's hoping they eventually bring us a location of this beautiful bakery, I really think they would do well. read more

The pastries might be life changing....I'm not joking. Their soooo good!! We sampled a bit of everything because we couldn't decide! We got the cinnamon roll, caramel apple fritter, pistachio cronut, cheese danish, key lime tart, and blueberry lemon bread. The cinnamon roll is almost like a croissant mixed with a cinnamon roll and is SO GOOD! Highly recommend getting a lemonade with cold foam on top. Fun and delicious. Randomly stopped in town while going up the 15 and what an awesome find this was. We ordered the croque monsieur and St George croissant to start our day-- both spectacular. We ordered a coffee cake, the peanut butter cookie, and a sea salt caramel donut for snacks during our drive. I loved the cookie and donut (my diet did not love it so much though, lol). I didn't care for the coffee cake, but then again, I've never really enjoyed them so I'm not going to take points off for that. -Busy little bakery but lots of the staff keep the line moving fast read more
