    Hibachi Teriyaki Chicken Dinner

Great portion size for the $11 lunch option! Tasty, quick service and great hospitality from the staff (especially Chris at the bar!) I would definitely recommend. Salad dressing smelled a bit off so I wasn't willing to eat the salad but the soup was delicious and tangy.

The food was great, there was no wait time at all. The servers were really nice, and the atmosphere was very calm and laid back. Everyone was very kind. And some nice gentleman payed for our food. The steak and chicken dinner was very delicious and very fulfilling, and the clear soup was amazing. Overall an 11/10

I have gotten take out/pick up orders from here 3x now and love it! These guys allow for fully customized meals using the SA2Go app for delivery or take out (and now dine in is open again I see). I like being able to customize my meals for dietary reasons so having full control over rice, noodles, veggies, meats, double portions, less portions, or no portions of each. The portions and price as solid, the quality of food is great. I have only gotten the hibachi lunch steak and the hibachi dinner steak so far. I get either double meat and rice or no rice and extra veggies pending my training day schedule. You can ask for more or less sauce use as well. You get clear soup and a side salad with all lunch and dinner entrees as well I want to go back and dine in next time to see how it compares to their take out options which are darn good in my opinion. The dining space just opened up again like a week ago so I need to make plans soon to go check that out.

Then a party of five arrived, followed by a party of four. When I politely said, "Excuse me sir, but we got here first," the owner looked me straight in the eyes and said, "I'll seat you later," and proceeded to seat everyone else ahead of us. By 7:46 PM, we were still waiting. If you've been there before, you know the lobby isn't the most comfortable--especially with a baby getting overheated. Honestly, that felt really disappointing. We did the opposite of complaining--we encouraged others to stay--just to be treated like we didn't matter.

I say cars & trucks because this is West Texas, and just about everyone has a truck, except us. We did, and we still should, but that's another story, and I want to keep this review short like my others. Went inside and were told to sit anywhere you want. I guess they really didn't mean that because I sat in the Kitchen, and they kind of frowned. (hehe) That's when we grabbed a booth. Our Server, Norma, came over and took our drink order. Coffee with creamer for me and a glass of water with lemon for Nancy. We looked over the menu as if we didn't know what we wanted, but we did. When Norma returned with our drinks, we placed our order. My Wife is going with her standard, "Two-Egg Cheese Omelet, with Hash Browns and Wheat Bread. I am going with the same thing but having their Biscuits instead. While we waited for our food, I enjoyed some goooood Coffee with French Vanilla Creamer. Kozy Kitchen makes good coffee, not the weak kind you get at some other restaurants. Soon our Cheese Omelets arrived, and they looked delicious. The Hash Browns are prepared just the way we like'em, golden brown on the outer and potato-eee on the inner. The Two Cheese Omelet is also prepared perfectly with lots of Cheese. My Wife's Wheat Bread is toasted with a nice amount of melty butter on it. My Biscuits look different than what they served before. My Wife said they look more like Muffins. I spread lots of butter on one and took my first bite. They are, in fact, "Biscuits", nice-n-flaky inside with a golden-brown outer edge. The top, one could say, looks like a Muffin, but it does taste like a Biscuit. Also added some Strawberry Jam to the Biscuits. I drizzled some Cholula Hot Sauce on top of my Cheese Omelet, which brings out the flavor of tasty heat. That's some mighty good stuff. We both enjoyed our Cheese Omelets, and I ate all of mine and finished up my Wife's Hash Browns, with some added Cholula Hot Sauce. Our Server, Norma, earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award and loved it. She showed us the other one she has that I gave her before. Kozy Kitchen is one of the Best Breakfast places in San Angelo, and we Love coming here. They have more than just breakfast, and it's all good. (maybe next time they will let me sit in the kitchen) On the way home, we enjoyed another Beautiful (but getting hot) day in San Angelo, TX. #1 This is about the Steak…read more Ambience was great. Service was great. Pretty much everything was great, even the White cheddar stuffed mushrooms and Caesar's salad. What wasn't great was the Ribeye. And I think it's time restaurants STOP over tenderizing the steaks. A true steak lover wants to be able to cut through their steak. And because you can't realistically needle the hell out of the edges of a steak, you get that false impression when it is first set down in front of you that this is going to be a great steak... Then the issues begin. Medium is warm pick...the only thing warm pink was that first cut a the edge. The rest (that I could get through) ran the gambit of medium rare to damn near blue. Strange because I also ordered the parm-crust, which meant it would be subject a little more time in heat to melt the parm... And I think its because of that needle tenderizer restaurants use. You destroy the muscle fibers so much that the heat is no longer transferring within the steak properly. And what does over tenderizing do? It turns what could have been a great steak...into...MUSH. You can't cut through it because the fibers have begun spaghettification, so there's singular muscle strands that are straining to hold the meat together. My brother got the 20oz, and ended up just picking the steak up with his hands and trying to gnaw the meat off the bone when the knife no longer worked. The only person that got away with a truly good meal was my father who had ordered the Chicken fried steak. Kinda hard to over tenderize cubed steak since its traditionally the toughest cut. So I got about 60% through my ribeye and just called it quits. It became a wasted effort...you know the kind...where if you took it to the end you'd have to go to McD's for a burger because you burned so many calories just trying to eat the "meal". Maybe this is something that needs to be taken up management, have the servers if they want steak or mush. Strange thing I had seen a Youtube documentary on this very same thing, but never thought the steak at Longhorn would be worse than the steak at Roadhouse, which was mentioned as over tenderizing. All I can say, is if they continue with this practice, I can NOT recommend Longhorn, ANYWHERE for even a Waffle House quality steak. At one point I was fearing I had been bitten by the Texas tick that gives you Alpha-gal syndrome because I was actually getting a little nauseous trying to eat my steak at how mushy it was. It was only holding shape by the will of the sear and the parm-crust.
