I booked them just the night before. They were professional in answering and getting back to me. Sent me a quote over the email. Were on time. Truck was enormous. They were polite and helpful. Although I feel they could have been faster in packing and wrapping, ended up taking additional 1.5 hours to get the move done for which I had to pay extra. Total 3.5 hours for a one bedroom apartment move. Will definitely recommend though! Giving 4 starts just because I wish they estimated the time and managed to do it in 2 hours. Maybe it was not possible. I wouldn't know. But they're great!!

UPDATE: After this review Bonza threatened me saying that because I wrote this review they were going to give my business a poor review too. I can only assume this is an attempt to get me to take down this review. How did they know about my business?! I wonder if they snooped though our things. Honestly it just keeps getting worse and worse. Moral of the story: Do not do business with this crooked company. If you write a bad review they will threaten you until you take it down. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm very disappointed with the service and professionalism of Bonza Movers. I was optimistic because Abba and his crew were very responsive on Yelp messenger, showed up on time, and got the boxes out of the house very quickly. However, they ruined close to $5,000 in furniture while moving our items into our new house (across multiple pieces of furniture), and only reimbursed us $250 when everything was said and done. Their insurance is laughable - it's $0.60 per pound. So let's say you have a $3,000 piece of furniture that's 50 lbs. That means if they damage it, you only get $30. Let's go back though - first, they underestimated the time it would take to move us by 100% (it took 5 more hours than they told us it would, at $190 per hour). Great for them since they were getting paid hourly. They lost items, broke MANY items, and put huge gouges in our walls going up the stairs. At one point, they spent nearly 1.5 hours pushing a couch through a doorway that it would not fit through. They cracked the wood interior of our sleeper sofa, ripped the fabric, damaged the door frame--and then told me their insurance wouldn't cover any of it because Abba had alerted us it might get damaged when his crew was mid-push and had the couch stuck. In fact, there were two doors leading into the room, and their "professional" movers told us the other door was smaller. Turns out, they didn't actually measure it. Once my husband measured, they were able to bring the couch in through that door with very little effort. Too bad they had damaged it beyond repair at that point. Again, they blamed us saying that it was our responsibility to measure door frames. Honestly, we hired professional movers to make our lives easier--all Bonza did was break our stuff and refuse to take accountability for it. UPDATE: Bonza clearly has an issue with honesty and privacy. We never said our chandelier was 500 lbs. No one expects a company to keep track of items they didn't pack. This was not at all what the claim was for. We actually got $0 from Bonza for damaging our couch - regardless of the valuation, this is a joke.

Bonza movers did a great job!

I moved from a 3 level townhouse to a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. Bonza movers did a great job moving us, at a great price. I had lot of stuff but they handled it well.

First, with a positive, the follow up and customer service is great. It has to be, due to the following comments listed. 2. Moved a 1 bedroom apt( bedframe , mattress, dresser , 2 TVs , and a sofa), and it took 5 hours , with a locked elevator , in the same building, separated by 2 floors.Everything additional was boxed or bagged. No loose items. 3. They attempted to change the charges the day of the move , even though we had confirmed less than 24 hours prior. Claimed the 3rd person Was due to their double booking, snow , etc . And the additional man would speed up the process . Did i mention this simple 1 bedroom move took 5 hours for an in building, one bedroom transfer? Does that seem expedited ? Everything was a group effort, and teaching moment. this slowed the move down. For example, it Took 20 minutes of discussion to figure out how to disassemble a bed frame efficiently . Constantly going back and forth to the moving truck on the clock ( for what idk ) . If not watched , disappearing for 15-20 minutes at a time . 4. I was advised that I could leave my dresser items in the drawers, and they could move them efficiently. I now have to find someone to take my dresser apart, due to items some how making their way to inside unreachable areas insiders dresser. 5. I have to find someone to reassemble my sofa. They didn't put it back together. 6. You're charged 30 minutes to and from . So, you owe an hour before they start . They didn't have to leave the property, but charged me fuel . How do you charge someone fuel, and time for arrival, and departure ? Seems like the rate is only labor . You're also charged for any items used to rap to transport furniture . The intimation that they try to give you when you book is that is inclusionary. 7. With a discount, A DISCOUNT, this move cost me $1,000. Between the random 3rd man up charge , wrapping items for the large furniture , fuel charge , insurance that they make you cover that they don't disclose until the last minute that is almost $200 additional ... 8. Moved my items into the hallway, and left them there unattended while moving. 9. Even if you pay by phone, they want you to write your credit card information on a random piece of paper. It's a hard NO, for me. Yes, I signed, and let them go about their business. It's exhausting to keep debating obvious discrepancies, and hidden fees during a move which is a top 3 stressor in general. Just .... Don't . Use someone else .

All My Sons Moving - Virginia North…read more This moving company needs to be investigated for fraud or deceptive business practices. I booked my move a week in advance and paid a $100 deposit after being told it would guarantee my moving date and secure my spot. Then, only 3 days before my scheduled move, the manager -- I believe his name was David -- called to tell me they were fully booked for the entire week and that my move would either need to be rescheduled or canceled altogether. I made it very clear from the beginning that my apartment lease ends on the 31st and that I needed to move before then. Had this company been honest about the fact that paying a deposit did not actually guarantee service, I would have hired another moving company much earlier. Now I'm left scrambling at the last minute, despite having everything planned out. I also have to report to work in another state on the 1st, so this has created a major inconvenience and unnecessary stress. To make matters worse, speaking with them on the phone was a complete disaster. The communication was unprofessional, disorganized, and unacceptable. They agreed to refund the $100 deposit, but that does not make up for the inconvenience, stress, and potential consequences this situation may cause me. If I receive penalties from my landlord for a late move-out or face any employment-related consequences because of this company's failure to honor their commitment, I will absolutely be exploring all possible legal and consumer protection options.

It was pretty pleasant overall. He apologized for all the inconvenience and gave some of the reasoning as to why the delay had happened, all of which was fair. He addressed more of my concerns in my original review. From what I understood, the carriers are third-party, so they can't really control delays. He understood my frustration about the refund being only about $24 and asked how much would I think is fair. I said $200. He said that's completely fair and ended up zelling me the money right after the phone call. Obviously the move itself was a bit frustrating, but this I think more than made up for it and it was super validating feeling like he understood where I was coming from. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the conversation and the resolution.

We were told that there may be people to help in the next state or there may not be, it could just be Oscar unloading the 26' truck himself. Seems like they pulled two guys off the street to help unload. They were clearly not as experienced as the first guys were, nor arrived dressed like they were ready to unload a truck. The one said he twisted his ankle but also had unlaced loose tennis shoes on... They go off hoping they can find someone in the next state to unload the truck with them. When reserving with Yuriy he said there would be three guys loading, traveling and unloading. That's not the case. But it's what he sold the cost of it all on, he said they were barely making money from the move by the time the three guys traveled and stayed for possibly up to two nights- three total day move. I had another quote at $4500 but Yuiry said there would be no way because of the above mentioned reason. Not the case at all. The move took two days, one night stay. Yuriy was meh, he's a sales guy so that's expected. The move was $6K, I hope they compensated Oscar fairly for all the work he did. I'm only doing this review because Oscar was really great to work with. The company's process seemed sketchy.

I wholeheartedly agree. Their website was easy to navigate and easier still to create a rough inventory of your belongings (take your time and confirm, room to room. Trust me: you own more than you think.) Once I'd submitted that Charlie reached out to me shortly after and was my point of contact throughout. I was able to make updates and adjustments up to the week of the move and even then I got 2 confirmations, one a day prior and one the morning of the move. A 4-man crew managed to move a 2-bedroom condo and a 4-bedroom condo into a single townhouse with a single truck, 1 trip between each location, and all in under 8 hours. Good men that busted their asses all day and earned every penny of their salary. TMM is not cheap but this is very much a case of quality work coming at an worthwhile rate; sometimes you need to pay more for the best service. You can certainly find less expensive movers but you would be hard-pressed to find movers of a higher quality. Book sooner than later, feed your movers, tip your movers.
