My wife and I found Abba and his team on Thumbtack when we were looking for help moving from Manassas to Vienna. Abba promptly responded to our query and gave us a quote, promising to bring additional boxes for our book collection. On the day of our move, Abba and two of his colleagues - Charles and Sam - arrived right on time. We explained to them that we had a time constraint - the common area in our new apartment would be available to us only for a couple of hours, meaning that the packing and moving from our old place had to be done in under two hours. They assured us that this was not an issue and started at once with dismantling the bookshelves and the bed. While one member of the group was disassembling furniture, another was covering objects in protective wrap, while a third was transporting them down to the parking lot. All of this while navigating around our nosy schnauzer. :-) They had the job done in exactly two hours with everything packed meticulously! At the other end, we were a bit concerned with the moving causing scratches on the wooden floors. We needn't have worried. Abba's team rolled out some thick carpet and moved things in very carefully so as not to damage the walls or the floor. Again, they worked incredibly efficiently and were done in less than an hour. Abba and team are the best around. When they arrived, they were just a little bit early. I explained to Abba that I had been sick and that my friend who was assisting me with my packing was admitted to hospital the day before and I wasn't quite ready. He immediately stated, no problem we will help you...and help me they did. We discussed what was staying and what was been moved. Once that the items were identified, they went right to work...packing and wrapping up all my items. They disassemble and reassembled my queen-size bed and treadclimber. Once we arrived at the new location, they was just a professional with putting things where I wanted them to go. I had to call them back because I wasn't sure where they had stored the cords and cable boxes and needed them for Verizon installation. Abba confirmed with his staff and informed me where they were. My only suggestion for next time is to maybe tape them to each item when assisting customer. Even more impressive is that my friend had set the eggs down with the items being moved & when I finally found them, not one egg was broken that was moved in the back of the truck...yeah!! I have changed apartments a few times in the last few years, and the moving was always a pain. My most recent experience (August 2017) was quite different though thanks to Bonzamovers. I was able to book a moving date on a very short notice. On the moving day two movers showed up on time and started promptly. In less than 3 hours all my stuff was on the truck given 1100 sq ft full of furniture and things and that they also dissembled 2 beds, unscrewed everything that was attached to the walls, wrapped up all mirrors, chests of drawers, shelves, couches and TV. Also they had to move everything down from the 7th floor using the tiny elevator that couldn't even be reserved because my old apartment building did not have the freight elevator, and the key to lock for regular elevator did not work. The guys didn't complain about this inconvenience and were very positive in general. They even managed to entertain my toddler while going back and forth. The unloading was even faster: everything was in the apartment and assembled in like an hour. The price was good too, and I think the guys did a great job moving very quickly considering that they get paid per hour. I sure hope to stay in this apartment for a few years at least but should I decide to move again in the future, I'm definitely calling Bonzamovers. read more

I used BonzaMovers for two moves now, and both times have been spectacular. Marquis, Leo, and Abba are nothing short of a fantastic. A few highlights worth sharing: 1. BonzaMovers has incredible attention to detail. Before loading all of my items into the truck, they were sure that some of the more fragile, or non-packable items (chairs, mirrors, tables, etc) were wrapped in cellophane or blankets to protect them as best as possible (not surprisingly, all of my items were perfectly in tact after the move). 2. I was amazed by how quickly and efficiently Abba, Leo, and Marquis worked. I had to move things out of both my apartment and a storage unit, and I was amazed by BonzaMovers flexibility, and ability to work quickly. 3. Another thing that distinguished Bonza from other competitors is that Bonza makes it clear on their website that they are fully licensed and insured (you'd be surprised how many competitors omit this or make it hard to find on their website). I can't recommend BonzaMovers enough! They were so professional and prompt. I scheduled my move for a 8:30am and was worried that they might get stuck in traffic or arrive late. But they got to my starting apartment ON TIME and was super fast moving everything out! Once they arrived to my place, I had few more items than what I originally thought. I thought I'd have to move those myself in an uber or something, but Abba had no problem with it and I really appreciated that. I was in a tight timeline with the loading dock reservations between the two apartments, and they understood that and moved so fast!! I cannot recommend BonzaMovers enough, they are THE BEST moving team around. In full honesty, I was concerned when I booked them, since they didn't have many reviews. I asked Bonza to help my move a few days ago and was very pleased with their service. Abba who was very nice and professional brought a team of two guys who were also very friendly and worked very efficiently. They worked super efficient and finished the move in two hours which I signed up for (the move was in 2 miles, though). I was also very pleased with their price. They didn't charge any service fees or travel time. I paid exactly for two hours. On the tip, I did not give what I originally planned to. The reason was one of the night stand leg got broke during the move. They did cover furniture pieces with blanket very cautiously. It was not intentional but I wish it did not happen. Abba, however, fixed the broken leg right then. I was very impressed. They were responsible and sincere. Over all, I highly recommend Bonza movers and will definately use them again when needed. My husband and I used BonzaMovers in December for a move from a townhouse to a single family within 5 miles and we were super happy with their services. We had oversized items and they offered additional insurance and handled everything with care. They disassembled and reassembled all our furniture for us, wrapped all our pictures and wall mounted items and brought tons of wardrobe boxes so we didn't wrinkle our work clothes. Their pricing structure is so simple, one price for lots of man power, a truck sized to your move (as long as you're honest about how much is in your house prior to them arriving so they bring the right truck), fuel and everything else. Abba is the BEST!!!! I've moved 3 times in DC and had consistently crummy experiences with things breaking or getting lost. Abba personally confirmed everything with me directly and oversaw the move with 2 helpers (who were both incredibly warm and friendly - thank you Charles!!) They even gave me a lift to the new spot after we packed up so I didn't have to pay for an uber! We even discovered on arrival my dresser had a weak leg and Abba personally took his tools to strengthen both that, and the other legs on the dresser. I used Bonza Movers moving from the Wharf to the Navy Yard in DC and they were fantastic! I contacted them the day before through Yelp and they were able to schedule me right away, even though it was the top of the month, a busy time for them. Three movers came and were super efficient in taking all of our furniture and items through a long hallway and into the truck. In two hours, they were able to empty one apartment and load everything into the next apartment. They were very easy to work with and friendly. Had a great experience with Abba and his crew! We had trouble getting confirmation from another moving company about our move time and were down to the wire. Abba was happy to do the job the very next day! He showed up a half hour earlier than he scheduled to be and was able to get my move completed in just three hours, which is a huge feat considering I was moving from one four-story house to another four-story house. Abba and his crew did a very last minute move for me on a Sunday. Our truck broke down and I'm kind of glad that it did. Abba, Jose and Alias made short work of moving a VERY heavy sofa bed from one home, and a sofa/chair from another, to a townhome out in Herndon. Same day!
