When we reached our destination the loading dock was blocked and rather than wait for the space to open Abba and the team started unloading and carrying our items from a further distance, which saved us time and money! I used Bonza movers this week. From the start of my search for movers, until the delivery, the quality of service was exceptional. Abba the owner, was great to work with. He stopped in at the start of the move to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. I'd like to note that my move took place during the COVID-19 pandemic and there were no issues or delays in scheduling the move. I was provided a team of 3 men and a large truck. They were friendly, professional, and quite efficient. Bonza took care of my furniture, wrapping all wood items in plastic and all cloth furniture in moving carpets. There was zero damage to my items. I packed myself, so I can't comment on a move where they do the packing for you. Highly recommend and will use in the future! read more

I moved from a multi-level townhome into a 4th floor 2 bedroom apartment. Abba and his team were fast, efficient, courteous and were able to move me from one location to the other all in the span of 4 hours, even with all of the stairs! I was highly misled by the 5 star ratings on Yelp! It just took 6 hours for 3 men to move the amount of stuff equivalent to a 3 bedroom apartment. I do have a 3 level townhome, however the basement was empty and I only requested items moved from 2 bedrooms. The problem is they took their precious time moving items, sometimes only taking a small painting to the truck at a time. It took them close to 2 hours just to wrap furniture! This happened to me before as I'm a single woman and some men use this to try and get over. I passed up on reputable movers to try my luck with this I'll company....never again! Pass on this place and use Brown's moving company (I just hate they were booked when I needed them). Abba you're such a liar! You took a long time to even get to the new place and I'm sure you stopped for food as I saw you eating when you came out of the truck. You did not have to wait on me to take a lunch break as all you had to do was move items into the home and plus I gave clear instructions on where everything was to go! I even heard you ask the black worker was he working! I have reported your business to the BBB in hopes that no other woman will have to be hassled the way I was! We had a fantastic experience with Bonza Movers, at the lowest price I found in Alexandria area. Charles and his colleague worked fast and hard, packaging and moving our 1 BR belongings from the 11th floor of an apartment complex into a Uhaul, which Abba packed. We found nothing damaged when we unpacked everything 1,100 miles away at our new place. They did go over the time estimate a little, which probably could have been avoided if they had packed the freight elevator more on each trip down. We had an okay experience with Bonza Movers. While very minimal items were damaged in the move we did have the issue of the truck they brought not being big enough so two trips needing to be made to move outdoor items. But that could have been my fault, I talked with lots of movers for quotes and I thought I told everyone I had 2 bedrooms and an office, storage, and lots of garden items but they kept saying we had a lot for just a two bedroom. So, wires might have been crossed there. The docking of one star really comes down to timing. There was the lead guy that organized items in the truck and two guys moving items to the truck. One of the guys moved pretty fast so maybe it was just the other, maybe he was tired, maybe he was covering for someone who is faster... We've moved every year for the past three years in this area and even though two of those moves included more (and bigger) items (extra bed, dining room table, huge sectional sofa in addition to apartment sofa, arm chairs), and flights of stairs to navigate - this first floor move took the longest, and that's not including the travel time between the two trips. I'm not taking into account the hour of travel time between trips, and neither did they - they thankfully didn't charge us for that hour. Still, it took almost 2 hours longer than our last move which was very similar in size of the move with a few extra outdoor potted plants. Making it for a much more expensive move. read more

We used Bonza movers for our in town move, and they were fantastic. We had a crew of three large men moving EXTREMELY heavy furniture up four flights of stairs, and they did it quickly and professionally. They were careful with our furniture, didn't ding a single wall (truly), and communicated with us the entire time. None of our belongings (or house) were damaged during the move and they put everything in the right spot. I'd absolutely use Bonza again, and they are quite a deal! Abbas and his crew are the hardest working men in the business. They treated my things as if they were their own. They were very careful, taking the time to wrap all our furniture to avoid damage. They were able to pack up all my things in Tysons Corner and deliver to my new house in Haymarket the same day, they worked for fourteen hours straight. The only break was to eat a slice of pizza. They even came back a couple days after the move and picked up boxes. The only complaint was when they packed my husbands suits, they were folded and placed in a box instead of a hanging wardrobe. Punctuality is extremely important to me as I was taught that 15 minutes early is on time, on time is late and late is unacceptable. They showed up on time (15 minutes early) on the moving day and worked extremely hard all day. The estimate was fair and accurate with no hidden cost. Matter of fact, they calculated the total cost via their hourly rate and actually came in below the maximum estimate.
