Greek salad with chicken you cant go wrong..steak sandwiches..kabob sandwiches very good also.

I've been going to boobies since I was a little kid and I love their bbq. I always get the ribs or chicken. On occasion I'll get the gyros. This place has good fries and the wait for the food isn't too long, most of the time I call ahead for pick up. The ribs are delicious. They serve a great portion at a good price when ordered as part of a deal. The ribs are tender and juicy. The same can be said about the chicken. The sauce does a good job of complimenting the meat and not over powering the taste.its a great family dinner and its a good place to take a big group or your family. I hope this place never closes because I will continue to come here. read more

I had the "famous" steak sandwich. To say the least I was disappointed with the sandwich. It was well done and tough as shoe leather. The other food items (salad and baked potato) were average at best. That's the last time I go to this place. Boo to Booby's read more

this place has been around forever and a day and it still ranks high with my family...just moved back to the area and have visited many times and have never had a bad sandwich...we particulary love the skirt stk sandwich, the Bog Boob sandwich and my 19 yr old besides loving the bacon cheeseburgers, craves the chicken tenders. We have been coming here and ordering delivery from boobys for years and it is always great and the delivery service is on time and orders are always correct. I placed an order ahead of time for my super bowl party, once again everything was perfect, packed as promised and delivered exactly on time. I come to Booby's on a regular basis. Their prices are amazing and so are their portions. I even brought my co-workers here once from a previous job that was nearby and they loved it so much I see them there sometimes even though I've been working somewhere else. One of them loved the pasta so much to this day he brings his dad and brother in on occasion during the weekend - and he lives far. Booby's food is also of a high quality. Sure, you can go with their legendary skirt steak sandwich or you can opt for a healthy chicken breast on pita bread. I also recommend the large Greek Salad with a grilled chicken diced on top. Their vegetables are always fresh and crisp. I've never once had a rotten tomato from this place. Try their navy bean soup too, if you're a healthy person. Like I said - high quality. I can't recommend this place enough. I won a woman's heart once bringing her a "Big C" with everything on it. Our relationship is still strong today. The energy here is positive and so is the staff. When I went there last week I ordered half a rib and I thought it was pretty nice except for the fact that it was WAY UNDERCOOKED and they serve it to you on, not a silver platter, but crappy styrofoam plates that instantly cracked in half as I sat down I asked for another plate but the red cashier was not there so I had eat on half a paper plate. But I have to give them props because the cheese fries were actually pretty good! read more

Hands-down, the best skirt steak sandwich I've had in the Chicago area. The Chicken salad is good too. This was a regular place for me when I lived in Park Ridge. Now that I'm in the city, I still make an occassional trip out just to satisfy that steak sandwich urge. Highly recommend! read more

The Big C Burger was awesome. I also had the Gyro Sandwich and I would avoid that one and get the ribs or the burgers. This place was reccomended by a friend while I was on the road. I can tell how much people enjoy this place, more than half the customers were highly over weight which scared me lol otherwise nice place and a great name to go with it lol read more

I have been to Booby's many times and have had a great experience every time. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu as far as I can tell. Steak sammich with Fries, cup of soup and a cup of cheese for the fries is my usual. Anything that has their BBQ sauce is fantastic. read more

My wife, son and I eat at Booby's fairly regularly since moving to the Niles area 9 years ago and we've had a pretty good number of the various offerings on the menu. The steak sandwich has always been terrific, as have the gyros. They have the tastiest onion rings I've ever eaten. Soups are wonderful as well. My favorite is the Cream Of Chicken! During the sweltering heat I don't like to eat heavier foods so I enjoy the BLT or Chicken Caesar Salad. I've never had a BAD meal at Booby's. The restaurant is wonderfully clean inside. It gets quite busy during the evening rush and can be a bit noisy but there is a reason for an establishment to remain in business for 55 years and that's because they offer excellent food. Realistically, everything has gotten more and more expensive, but It's still possible to keep your check to a very modest level. The three of us have eaten for under $20 at Booby's on a number of occasions. read more

A pretty standard grill/fast food restaurant. Went here today and tried the Italian beef, which was really good. It tasted a little different from other Italian beef sandwiches, though not in a bad way. The fries were pretty good, especially with the special sauce in the red bottles on the table. The food was hot and was made pretty quickly. I don't know if I'd really go 100% out of my way to go to Booby's, but I definitely wouldn't say no to going if I was in the area. read more

I really want to give it a higher rating because I love their steak sandwich with all my heart. But truth be told, food is above average, but can't say its one of a kind. Been going here since the 1960's with my folks, albeit, not as a regular, just randomly to date. Tables were and are usually 1/2 or more occupied and expect a line to wait in when ordering (moves fast). I have never strayed from getting their burger & fries, which the burger needs an acquired taste for because it is not your standard burger. It is topped with cole slaw, some house pickle slices, and Booby's own BBQ sauce (perhaps also some onions grilled to sweetness?). I'm pretty sure you could order it else wise with standard toppings of lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and mustard, but this is Booby's we're reading about and might as well try what their known for all these years. Anyway, the burger is always good (as their style) "except" that I believe they changed hamburger bun suppliers (to Turano?), which make the bun like eating a wet sponge (high moisture content). A dryer "normal" bun would return my attention to the burger, not the bun. Still it is a very good burger! The french fries are served hot and taste as good as I ever had anywhere, which bring them in to rank very high in all french fries I've ever had! Someone walked by me with a plate of spaghetti that looked good, so I ordered a "to go" mostaccioli with meat sauce, as I favor this over spaghetti. At home, I tried to eat this 3x, but gave up and threw more than 1/2 left away in garbage. Maybe it's different eating there, but no-go as a carry-out or should have ordered spaghetti instead. The accompanying side salad was a mediocre standard of a salad you would expect (OK) and some bread & butter, which was tastefully good. Again, I don't order what many others do, so my review covers only the above, not really covering Booby's extensive menu. Many people including myself find Booby's is a good place to go hungry and fill up! read more

The food was great....customer service and wait..not great. There was no friendly hello...(don't ask for any ketchup..). We went there shortly after my Father passed away... We ordered hot dogs..talked a bit about what was up and down in life. In Chicago we like to talk about stuff. The order guy was a real not nice person. not going to lie.. was drawn in to this place because of the name "Booby's" when we was driving by.. didn't know what to expect about this restaurant.. walked in and it was another diner with mostly older seniors.. ordered the steak sandwich with side order of fries and salad.. i think the sandwich is over hyped by the reviews.. i didn't find it that great.. but don't get me wrong.. it wasn't bad either.. the sandwich is just too boring.. the fries was decent tho.. maybe ill give their ribs a try when I'm around the area again.. read more

I pass here all the time, and finally stopped in today. This is *not* the best place of its sort around, and it's *not* a 5-star restaurant, but it's got a good selection, the food is fresh, the service is friendly, and the price is right.
